please we don't bid for him

Listening to Radio City terrace talk - they are somewhat concerned Everton are joining the race for him lol :p

Dunno either, but seems odd they'd be interseted in him rather than his strike partner

More a case of the fact that if they sell his strike partner then they are less likely to sell Kuyt to the likes of Liverpool or even price Liverpool out of buying Kuyt at a reasonable price.

Simao was on his way to Liverpool for £11m, Chelsea just needed to announce their interest and all of a sudden they were looking upwards of £15m putting him out of Liverpool's price range.

If they do sell Kuyt's strike partner to Chelsea for a good bit of money then I see no reason why they would want to sell Kuyt for a reasonable price they will hold out for as much as they can get using the excuse that they have to find 2 striker replacements forcing the buying club into a tight corner, good tactics on Chelsea's part (dirty but good all the same)!

Looks like Everton are now in the process of agreeing personal terms with Andy Johnson. Thank God for that :p

He's been touted as a Milan target aparentely. Along with Torres.

Ive also heard that Milan are looking for £35m +Crespo +Gallas +Drogba for Sheva!
Theres not a way in hell that'd happen. Maybe one of Crespo or Gallas +£35m, but not 3 players + a v.large cash sum.

It's his age.
Chelsea want to sign 2 experienced & 2 young players this year who will grow with the club. Kalou & Obi Mikel seem to be those 2:)

“It was felt what we wanted to do was bring in a different type of player. Michael Ballack fits that bill, the likes of a Shevchenko fit that bill. That type of player comes with an age and comes with an experience, probably outside the Premier League.
“There has not been a great shift in what we are wanting to do and if we get both those players, I guarantee that we will also have two very exciting younger players that will be the future of Chelsea. There will be a continued development of our youth - more Diarras - the best in their class at their age. They will be added to the team with some older players.”
