The Rumour Mill, who do you want/think your club will sign/sell this summer

giving him a bumper 5 year £80k per week contract by the last manager would inflate his ego a bit.

At least toon fans can die happy in the knowledge that your hard earned will have paid Dyer a grand total of 20 million pounds. That's 400,000 cigars he can light right there.

Sickening isnt it?

Newcastle Outs.

Babayaro
Milner
Butt
Boumsong
Shearer(obviously)

Newcastle Ins

Kuyt
Woodgate
Bridge
Matt Taylor
Carvalho
Joaquin

Guessing. Like to see Kuyt really...strong goalscorer, doubt torres would come to us, would be another luque. Kuyt has been a goal machine the last few seasons in DutchLand.

Ruud? To be honest it's time to sell if we get a decent offer. He might score a lot of goal, but I belive he chokes the side and has a negative effect on out team play, and at 29 he isn't young. With his sale and the millions already pledged I would be looking at one of the top ten players in the positions we need replacing.

On the striker front with Ruud gone?
From all the games I've seen Rossi play, and he's now scoring for fun, it's time he played with Rooney on the big stage, the lad can do everything from running with the ball, holding the ball and his shooting is a class above. Give him a season or two and he'll come on leaps and bounds with the big boys, infact I believe he has the skill to become the worlds best striker if he improves the level he has been, and builds a little boy mass.

edit:

Also SAF needs to be slapped with a wet kipper and get rid of all the 23yo+ baggae that we seem to be carrying with the likes of Fletcher, Silvestre ( worse left back in the history of the non league ) and let the new batch of kids in instead of dominating the reserve leage and touring the states!

No offence, but it would be complete madness to base a football team of Man Utd's size and money earning potential around a pairing of under 21s next season. I think Rossi is a great player and he will be world class with time, I agree on that, but he would be run into the ground within about 3 months if he's playing as our starter in FA/Carling/UEFA and Premiership next season. Rooney is also still very young and all being well will be coming off the back of a World Cup where he's been painted as England's great white hope. He'll need a rest, not the pressure of being the "experienced one" in our strike force.

We're really lucky not to have run Rooney into the ground already, the lad has just taken a lot of pressure extremely well (playing him up front on his own all those games when Ruud and Saha were out etc.) and he's already seen by many as the first name on our teamsheet. What Man Utd need more than anything is experienced players who can bring the next wave of youngsters on. I wish Giggs could have somehow brought Ronnie under his wing and sorted him out, but he seems to be away with the fairies these days. If Neville could have done the same with Bardsley that would have been great too...

Instead we get Darren Fletcher and O'Shea teaching everyone how not to pass and move, and how passing to the other team is A-OK.

I'd like to see Ruud stay and shoulder some of the pressure for Rooney this season - get Ruud's goal tally up and he'll be there from the start of the season (if he stays). Then blood Rossi in gradually more Premiership matches and in as many Carling Cup matches as possible. Surely you can't expect to throw him in the deep end against the likes of John Terry and Puyol week in week out?

I raise you Song who is worse that Faye. Song is worse than his Uncle Rigobert. Thats saying something ;)

Lol, I knew who this person was, and watching the Sunderland game on bank holiday monday I had been warned by a season ticket holder that the guy is pure rubbish. And he was.

CM:Seriously though I agree with the comments made in the posts above, "Champion's League Gilberto" has so far been amazing, "Premiership Gilberto" doesn't even exist. I slated Viera for the last two years he was here, I felt that he disappeared against bigger teams and played amazing against the bottom 12 teams of the Premier League. Then I realised that most of our goals, at some point had the man involved. Arg! Him moving on may also be the reason why Gilberto has been quite poor this season in comparison with previous years.

In terms of the future if Gilberto and Cesc are going to play in the centre of midfield then just by how big their physiques are, then Gilberto really has to start getting stuck in. I would like to see another centre midfield player come in, somebody with experience because Diaby's progress has just been temporarily severed due to that **** on Monday evening, and because our most experienced CM Gilberto isn't probably the best person to be learning the trade from.

RB/LB:I would like to see Ashley Cole go for £16m, true to say that Flamini and Clichy aren't as good but, the former may slowly adapt to the position and the latter will get better with experience. So we still sort of have two players for the position. We could also use the money to buy other players. I'm not sure who though tbh. I think Lauren will go, and I hope he does, if Seville offer £4m I would take it. Lauren is starting to get on, and tbh I've never rated him. When the first team back four used to play I always felt he was our weakest link. It's no coincidence that we're stronger attacking down the left as we have had Cole or Clichy who are both very good.

GK: I'd like to see Wenger splash out on a quality young keeper and let Lehmann teach him a little about goal keeping, and somebody else teach him about temperament!

CB: Sol has to go, he was terrible against Sunderland and that says a lot. Cygan has to go too. I'd say we need somebody else with experience should Touré or Senderos are out.

LW/RW: Freddie should stay just for the experience, but should lose his first team place to Reyes (who can play there) or Hleb. Pires MUST MUST go he's awful :(

F: I don't think that Theirry will leave if we're in the CL next season, but if we lose the final then that's him gone. I don't think we'll get forth spot. Berkamp should retire and take on a coaching role for e.g. Walcott. Btw - what has happend to Aliadére? I love that boy he's absolutly class but he's always injured for us/playing for some other team!

I think that Arsene wont be thinking of a new keeper at least untill january, its gonna be a Seaman case with Lehman and we'll end up singing somebody like Richard Wright again.

I think that if Sol doesnt play in the world cup it will do him the world of good, hes's hardly been sparkling in the few games since his comeback but give the lad a chance.

I'd like to see a new centre back come in like Gallas as someones said, somebody who can play across the back line.

If Cashley goes I cant say I'd be that bothered with Cole Mark 2(clichy) and flamini still here. Didn't he come out and say he wasnt going in the summer but who can trust him?

I'm not too fussed if Bobby stays or goes, he's been a great player for us but I think he's running on fumes. Hleb should get better and better, I dont think he's had a good season but by the time August comes around he should be fully settled and know what to expect.

End of an Era regarding Sir Dennis, Im not sure whats gonna be sadder leaving Highbury or saying goodbye to Mr Bergkamp, surely if Henry goes Wengers going to have to sign a world class striker, it all depends on winning the champions league really or the remote chance of finishing forth.

Rumoured to be waiting to have a medical with Liverpool, with Torres also ready to sign...

Time will tell though, those two would put a big dent in any transfer budget of Rafa's so I'm not sure that both would come.

Not a lot of change from £40m for the pair - I cant see Liverpool spending that kind of money.
Newcastle reportedly offered £30m for Torres before we signed Owen.

Ive heard Kuyt was ready to come to Newcastle last season but the deal was put on ice when Shearer decided to stay on.

You have to take most rumours from BBC with a pinch of salt because they are from the tabloids. I really doubt that Cesc will go!

I don't really think Newcastle will many tbh. I don't think Boumsong, Babayaro or Luque will go. As I have said before there wouldn't be much point in selling them as we wouldn't get anywhere near the money we paid for them and so we may as welll keep them as backup.

I think Kuyt to Newcastle will happen other than that I'm not sure, we will sign a new centre back to partner Taylor but I'm not sure who, I would like it to be Woody but his fitness is the big problem (however by the law of probabilites he has to play a full season soon :p )

And when (not if) it will only be to Barca. He will never play for Real Madrid

Great news for Hearts if it is true but there is still a bit of doubt about whether he has signed, there were also previous rumours that he wouldn't sign unless Hearts maintained second spot in the league which isn't 100% guaranteed yet.

Me neither, esp when we'd likely struggle to get £10-12m for Cisse and Moro, who'd probably be the ones to make way
Have a feeling we will keep Cisse, despite every man and his dog being sure he is out.Can see Fowler going if someone puts a couple of £m on the table for him :(

Apparently Rangers are looking to sign Boumsong back from us, they can have him for free. In fact I'll gladly pay Rangers to take him away. As others have said we need a couple of centrebacks, a left back, at least 1 midfielder and a new striker. Even though Bambi has been scoring goals for us lately I still don't have much confidence in him, Luque is not suited to the premiership at all which is a shame as what I've seen of him while he was in Spain looked good.

newcastle get rid of

luque
boumsong
butt
bramble
bowyer
ameobi

try and scrape a couple of mill out of that lot and buy

2 central defenders
2 strikers

Isn't Nugent one of the strikers Everton are always linked with? Might happen this summer if Preston don't make it through the playoffs perhaps

Aye we've allegedly been after him for 2 seasons now. Can't see it as he's just signed a new contract with them.

Moyes will be sacked by February if we don't sign a quality striker to play alongside Beattie and I can't see Joey Yobo signing a new contract.
