The RX Vega 64 Owners Thread

Can you guys test Call Of Duty WW2 single player campaign and complete the first mission with HBM at 1100 and tell me if you see flashing like artifacts as you play through the level?

I see the same behaviour on two different cards and have to lower HBM to 1060Mhz for the artifacts to stop. First game i have seen this behaviour.
Sometimes it can take 5-10 minutes before it starts. Hopefully Tony or some others here can test and confirm.

On mine vega 64 LC sample I’ve seen exactly the same behaviour in Witcher 3 with memory OCed to @1100, everything is fine if I’m running @1070
Thanks, good to know.

To be honest I just want a Vega with non reference cooler that operates quieter. I dont care about extra performance. And no i dont want to undervolt or whatever i want an out of the box solution.
Not being rude, but doing a little testing to find the sweetspot is the best way to deal with all the Vega lineup. It's not really a turnkey solution, it's a bit of a tweakers solution. For my clients if they don't want to do a little testing to find the sweet spot, then I'd honestly not recommend a Vega. IMO the silicon can't bend to my will, but I can adapt to the silicon I have.

No worries. Ill wait and see what happens around and after Christmas with what's available at what price and then decide.

@gupsterg Got block on and in, looks better keeping backplate.

Working a treat in Linux with OSS driver for those interested. Kicks the 1080s behind from the few things I've tested.

If I record a video tomorrow showing me trying to overclock VEGA 64 can you guys give me some input what am doing wrong?
Tony remember couple weeks ago I had my Memory clock speed jumping all over the place well I think I have found out the issue.

if I set Wattman to Balanced mode my core speed with be 1400+ until target temp is reached then it remains around 1300+ memory speed remains 945mhz with odd drop every often. But if I set Wattman to custom and leave voltage on Auto I get same clock speeds etc All seems well But here what I dont understand if I change the Memory voltage to anything below 1000 my Memory will jump all over the place 500/800/945mhz

I noticed you guys run 1100 @950 I cant even run 950 at stock 945mhz if I try and change core voltage down I get lower core speeds down to 1100/1200 vs leaving everything on Auto voltage lol

A video will explain it better am sure

So all this time I had my VEGA and messed with Wattman I have actually been making my performance worst!

It seems that FreeSync does not work on The Division(dx11, dx12), the Hz on the monitor OSD is constant, can anyone confirm it?
My display is C32HG70 via DP to VEGA 64 LC (driver 17.11.2).

thanks.

FreeSync is disabled in The Division due to rendering behaviour in the engine that causes an abnormal render time periodically that does not work well with FreeSync enabled.

Yes, happens to me. I'm sure Martin will fix it ASAP, he has VEGA as well.
