The RX Vega 64 Owners Thread

and me with picking up the faster LC for only £599 :p

are they not doing the LC version anymore?

You got a good deal bud. A guy I worked with asked me to build his lad a PC and gave a budget of £1K and couldn't believe my eyes when looking at prices. I grabbed a Ryzen 1600 and a 1060 6GB but wanted an AMD GPU but prices are shocking!

Yep, its a stonking card @ £400-£500, but £800 for a Vega 64 is absolutely flipping bonkers. GPU prices all round are pretty crazy right now, have been for a while. I can totally see the reasoning for dropping PC gaming for Xbox One X at these mental prices.

WHAT!!!!! :eek::eek::eek::eek:

I've not been looking at prices for Vega or GPU's for a few weeks, cheapest V64 is now £829??? That's insane, feels very smug right now I picked my beast up for £459 :)

I managed to get both of mine for an average of $500 USD before tax. In December, after the mining boom. >.>

It's tempting to try and drop them both and pick up a single 1080ti... but mining and so on. Plus that'd be boring. :D

wow i didnt know you could xfire vega 64s, are you getting at double performance or atleast an extra 20-30% fps ect? also where is your xfire bridge?

Need to get a better PSU to find out. I only accounted for one Vega with my build, so I have a 750W Thermaltake I need to sell to upgrade...

And yes, you definitely can! There's already a decently-sized group X-firing Vegas. And since PCIe 3.0, you don't need a bridge as the bandwidth is high enough to deal with the 2 GPUs. GN actually posted a video a couple weeks ago with SLI'd Titan Vs and found that they came close to hitting the bandwidth restriction. The only problem, of course, is how much AMD is going to be willing to keep supporting mGPU setups...

You haven't needed a bridge for Xfire in years, it's just Nvidia that still demand bridges (and 8x or better) for multi-GPU, also you can Xfire any Vega, I have a V64 and V56 in my workstation and they Xfire fine for games.

Work mate of mine wanted to build an all AMD rig and asked for my help in doing so...until he saw the prices, GTX 1080'ish performance, Which is decent, At double the price, Not a freaking chance in hell.
AMD need to sort their pricing structure out.

Absolutely - but if they're making all they can and they're still getting gobbled up at inflated asking prices what else can be done?
