The RX Vega 64 Owners Thread

That's good to read.
I impulse bought the Powercolor for £530, and am starting to have buyer's remorse because of the price!

Don't, It's a fair price plus you get Far Cry 5 with it. I spent £800 on the Vega 64 Nitro plus LE which I then sold at a loss a month later as I couldn't stomach the lacklustre performance for what I spent, I was an idiot, You did alright. I'm considering grabbing another now prices have calmed down.

What is the deal with the Nvidia card at 24 minutes?

What do you mean? The colour difference or something else?

It's a pity they didn't compare the FuryX with the Vega 64, top cards vs each other rather than top vs 2nd top (assuming you don't count the dual GPU card) of the previous generation.
It seems the Vega is around 50% faster than the Fury. I'm not sure which card that result is best for considering there are 26 months between the cards release dates (which is a bigger gap than 290X -> Fury X). Are there any videos on how Fury X compares to 290 non-X these days?
Not sure what the "expected" gap would be for cards a generation (~2 years) apart.

Fury performance didn't seem bad though.

Am I right in thinking that Vega flies in Vulkan games, thereby beating the 1080 easily?

The new Basemark GPU bench which uses Vulkan gives some interesting results.

Pascal cards are quick on the test but Volta really flies.

Titan V using the default 4k preset on the Basemark bench.

How relevant this is to gaming with Vulkan I don't know.
