**The Secret World**

I don't think there's an OCUK Cabal, but there are a couple of UK based cabals. 7th Legion is one I'll be looking into when I start playing again.

I got an invite to a Cabal and joined a few nights ago during my first PUG Polaris run. In the meantime, adjusted my skills a little and now rocking Blue Mountain. Ran Polaris with a few Cabal members last night to show a new guy the ropes and completed the entire thing in about 10 minutes. Good times. :D

Just need to clear up a few quests in BM and do the Inferno and Darkness War dungeons before it's off to Egypt!

hmmm been thinking of getting this, whats peoples thoughts on this game?
£12.50 seems reasonable for this.
i have gw2 sat here gathering dust aswell though not sure which one i should put my time into.

I got a char to about lvl 40 in GW2 before getting TSW when it went B2P. Haven't even glanced at Guild Wars since.

The Secret World is the best MMO to come along in some time, and more than worth it. The setting and world is just great, and the production is top notch. It has its eccentricities which can take a bit of time to get around, but it's honestly the type of game that the more you play, the more you get sucked in. It just "clicked" for me one day after a rocky start and now I can barely put it down.

The 7th are a great cabal with some really good people, semi roleplay as well but it is optional. I only left due to a slight personality clash with the new leader at the end of last year.

Thanks for the recommendation anyone else have any views on this game since it became b2p

The biggest thing to get used to is the way questing works. The game typically expects you to have one main quest on the go at any one time, and usually when you finish that, there'll be another quest nearby to take on. It might be an npc or just a mobile phone or message in a bottle or something lying on the ground.

This can be a bit confusing for someone who expects to hit a hub and hoover up a dozen quests at once, the game just doesn't work like that.

I found it quite tedious and felt I was forcing myself to enjoy it. The setting and idea for the game was great but ultimately it's just weak compared to other MMo's with extremely bad combat.

I grabbed it for £5+ from US amazon as it went free to play so I can't complain too much, but definitely try the guest pass or wait for a sale.

GW2 is far more polished, populated and overall better.

TSW's story even on side quests, voice acting and *little things* (eg. one of the starting weapons in the training room is a twisted ipod cable when you look closely) is far far better than GW2. GW2 has a lot going for it, but it's a bit of a reach to say it's better & more polished (except graphically).

I'm playing both.

If anyone is wondering about getting TSW, it's worth it just for certain missions & how far from the norm they take you - missions in the fairground, the investigation mission at the airport in the starter area, and the dungeons are far far far better than any other MMORPG on the market right now. The pvp's a bit poo though, although fun at times.

Just started a Templar character called Dansak. Can't remember what server, but I don't think it matters as you can group across them. Any other newbies want to group up, gimme a shout.

this has got to be one of the most underrated MMO's from current memory!
Im really enjoying it, as someone else said on here, some of the quests are superb!! and its also made me laugh out loud on a few occasions with its references to pop culture etc :D

I'm still enjoying it too. Just got to the Savage Coast, but have missed the first dungeon until I get a bit more time to play in one sitting.
Crafting is a challenge, so that's good. I've got tones of points to add to my skill wheel thingy and have just decided to go with an ele/AR build. Working that out is not easy, liking having the option to set and save different builds.
The games got a very 'Myst' feel to it.

Bushmins, just got to the Savage Coast too. Playing as a Pistol using healer type in an effort to stay alive and wear the bad guys down. It worked ok till I hit the Savage Coast (maybe I went there too soon). If you want to pair up, let me know. In game name is Dansak.
