The Show Off Your Tattoo Thread

Had my 1st done last Thursday. Managed to avoid thinking about it in the 3 months its been booked then cra##ed myself the night before :D

****snip***

Now I know I can sit fine i'll be back for more :) Probably continue the roses black and grey up the top of my arm and then loads of shading. Well chuffed though :D

that is very nice, in a simple drawing kind of way, and I am serious.

it is almost Charles Rennie Mackintosh, in its design, contemporary, but classic at the same time. and once the shading settles, as you have said, I think it will look much better.

Im booked in on Thursday to take a Skull and crossbones, with red roses, looking forward to it

Cheers mate, It was only intended to be the start of something, not a complete piece by itself so I'm looking forward to seeing how it ends up. Going to live with it a while and then decide how it goes forward.

Look forward to seeing yours :)

Well after 10 hours, 5 coffees, 6 Full Fat Cola's my new tattoo is finished,

thank you to my good mate Steli at Latin Angel Studio's in Richmond, who did a cracking freehand job of it,

here are some pictures before and after, still very red and sore, but you get the idea :)

Looking good mate, makes me want to get my other sleeve/shoulder done to match :).

I like yours, I was going with something similar until very recently at Nine Tails tattoo, in Old Street,

but I changed my mind, and managed to get an appointment with Steli,

its amazing how fast we forget how painful it is, you already contemplating your other arm ;)

Haha, indeedy - in a strange kind of way I miss the pain....

About 90% decided on the giant catfish (Namazu) causing an earthquakes with water & whichever flowers match the correct style/season.

That is awesome mate! You must be well chuffed! Did he freehand the whole thing? Did you go in there with the whole thing mapped out in your head or did you put a lot of faith in his skills?

thanks

told him I wanted a skull and crossbones, but not a cartoon one, with red roses and dripping blood,

he done the sketch, I had a look and said 'cool', and he blasted ahead

like any tattoo, you have got to trust the artist and like their work, and both of which I did with Steli, such a cool guy into the bargain.

I've got this idea for a tattoo but I'm not sure if it sounds silly? It's the words
"If you don't live for something you'll die for nothing"

Does it sound any good?

So I had this done Tuesday, only just got a pic.

I would have liked the wings a little higher and the rear foot a little bigger to match the first foot but it is meant to be the Liverbird bought to life. It won't exactly replicate the actual clubs version obviously..
