The Show Off Your Tattoo Thread

If you're going to get a palm tattoo get it done either by Stewart Robson (Frith Street Tattoo, London) or Thomas Hooper (New York Adorned/ Broklyn Adorned, New York). Both of these artist have reputation for being able to get palm tattoos to stay in (At the recent London convention Stewart must have done aat least 3 palm tattoos in a day and I saw Thomas do a couple as well).

Rampant?

Looks a lot like it to me, apart from the neck a bit but thats not the normal positioning if it is Lion Rampant anyway so..

I like either way. :)

Here we go :) My new tattoo

Obviously the red bits will be grey shading once the swelling goes down :p

ok, so it says Daniel when it's the other way up, is it meant to say something while it's this way up? looks like "j2?sua"

that's pretty cool, though the older kanji looks a little dull next to it all, what's the text say?

I know, i should have asked her to go over it again to refresh it, She has asked me to go back in three weeks in order to make sure everything is ok and any shading i want can be done :)

Any suggestions for what else i could add to it would be great :D

Daniel is correct, Jessica is the other name you are looking for. :)

TrUz

Clever in a Dan Brown kinda way. I like it :)

Am thinking of getting this done on the back of my neck, but I think it might be a bit plain on its own. Maybe less is more though...

Nice :) Although i would always suggest below the shirt line unless you can get away with in you job

Thanks :)

In my current job - another girl has one (I stole her idea!) so its no problem.

My parents are my biggest worry - so will have to wear my hair down around them! Will never get it cut that short again anyway.

Nearly 30 and worrying about what my parents would think... awful isn't it? Although I may be able to sway them because of what it is.

Can i ask what it means?

Can you imagine what it was like when i showed my parents, i know what you mean, im 27 and was worried what they would say lol
I think as long as you have meaning behind it then they will be fine, mine were ok because there was thought behind it and not a rash decision.

Were your parents ok about it?

Yeah its my name in Chinese characters :)

'Beautiful Bell' is the meaning - there are hundreds of meanings out there depending on the pronunciation of the characters but these are mine.

Sounds great, surely they cant say no to that :)

Yeah they were fine, quite liked it actually lol
It has taken me 4 years to find someone that could draw up what i wanted (Hard to believe i know) the best bit is that it cost £130.00!!!! all done in one sitting too

Tip for you: Try and find a "Fine Line Artist" i find that these make your tattoo look better as they put more of an artist touch to it :)

Thanks. I am based in London so there must be one around here... I'm assuming thats the correct lingo for a chinese/japanese character specialist?

Who is Jessica? (if you don't mind me asking).

LOL That is not my tattoo, mine is the Angel on my back #566

Not the correct lingo for a specialist but more for somebody that uses a fine needle technique as opposed to doing big thick black lines :)
