There's a note book I have with all my sciencey stuff in it with a bird similar to this on the cover and I just doodled around with it for ages and this was the result :)

Considered going all the way down my arm but the spikes felt like the place to stop from an aesthetic point of view.
 
Partly, I had the style in mind, a few component pieces and the idea of how I wanted it to look, the symbol in the middle and spikes were done first as separate pieces.

When I wanted to work the rest around it I took everything I had and got my tattooist to draw it on, based on what I asked for and whether it would work with the way my arm bends etc...

Been thinking about mine for a while now...bday coming up in July so I want a decision by then to treat myself :)
 
Defo worth going in for a consult, means I got something unique and had the chance to see what they thought about the dynamics of the ideas I had.

Once I did that I took a photo of it away with me while I waited for my slot to come up, and sent a couple of notes about the design over. Figure if I'm stuck with it I might as well have exactly what I want =D
 
Still waiting to get mine finish. I have plenty of credit on my credit card, but they accept cash only. I don't particularly want to draw money from the credit card so thinking how I could actually get it finished.

I've joined the gym to try and lose a bit of body fat so I can get my chest and arm done!
 
Need alittle help guys, just got my first tattoo while ive been away on holiday its on the underside of my forearm and is chinese text spelling my name its about 5" long by 1" wide. anyway i want to know is there anything special i need to do with the after care? as i say its my first one so im not sure what i need to do and i forgot to ask when i had it done.

Use bepanthem cream to keep it moist, wrap in clingfilm to keep the moisture in and to stop scabbing :)

Your welcome, just remember not to overload it with cream, a small amount will go a long way, you want to keep it moist but not too moist, also apply it either every 2-4 hours or when you feel it needs more :)
