The Show Off Your Tattoo Thread

Had this done over a month ago now, meant to post it in here but forgot!

Just been for a touch up today but this was straight after it was done :)

Love it to bits :)

That actually reads: " I love big macs with fries!" :D

Some of these recent tattoos would make you want to jump off a cliff with the designs and how bad the artist has done some of them.

Seriously guys, if your going to permanently mark your arm, pay a premium as they looks ridiculous. Too late now though I guess.

If reference to mine, I love mine and I'm extremely happy with it :)

+1 got to say, some of the tats here are absolutely dire in terms of being so badly/poorly drawn its cringeworthy. Others on the hand are very cool indeed (thor especially).

I have the exact same tattoo on my upper right arm. Hate it though, it was my first tattoo and regret it deeply. It was also a logo used on a can of tesco deodorant as I found out to my dismay, but they seem to have changed it now!

Also, this is comedy gold.

had these done a couple of weeks ago. I really like them as they mean a lot to me.

I've been through constant battles over the last few years and it's a constant reminder to myself not to stop. :) On the inside of my forearm so i can see it every day and i wanted it to cover as much of the scar as i can as it's a constant reminder!

Thses were just a bit of fun but with a story behind them that not many people can say! :) They're the amount of times i've actually died and been brought back to life by the doctors,. :) I have a metal plate underneath my skin on the bone and it felt like they were welding the plate to my bone!!!!

Next up is a sleeve over my badly injured arm to cover up the scars as best i can. Got to work a design around my metalwork though as i have much more metalwork in the other arm!

Both of these were designed and places 100% by me with the tattoo place recommending red crosses instead of the original black ones to stand out more.

Hey guys.

I'm considering getting a tattoo and have no idea of whether it's that technical or not or how much it costs.
I wondered if you guys can give me an idea of what to expect if i asked someone to put the following (Yes that's a Cactuar...) on my calf at arounf 4" x 3".

What do you think? A hard request? How much roughly?

Do you reckon something like this is possible?

I'd want it over my elbow which already has a fair bit of metalwork and so is going to hurt immensely!!

I want it in 3d as though it's cut away but is that specialised or can any decent tattoo place do it?

Decent artist maybe £120. Look for an artist that does traditional style tattoos are that would be closest in terms of comic style art. They'll probably do it without the yellow with a slight fade to pale skin in its place.

To a standard of the image you'd have to look for a very good artist. The only people off the top of my head who could do it well in the UK are;

Bez, Triple 6 tattoo Sunderland. Probably your best bet.
Piotrek Taton.
Louis Malloy, Ridiculously overpriced and very long wait due to doing Beckhams work.

Thinking something like this - in UV i'm not sure about as unless I'm in a club there's no point but an idea of the detail i want re: bones etc. I could just have metal plates added in. :)

Will first have to get the ok from the doc again though.

Well got my design finished, just need to find a bloody good artist to pull it off.

Anyone know of any exceptional artists in the South Wales area?

Swansea Tattoo Co. is the best shop in South Wales. However the design won't work well as a tattoo, not enough contrast between the skeleton and the fossils. Changing the colour of the shells would be a good idea. As it stand it would be a brown blob from any sort of distance.

Check out David Swambo from Cardiff Studio One. Google him and you'll find his facebook.

Also Nu Rose studio in Caerphilly has a few amazing award winning artists for example Chloe Black and Brim Tattooer. Facebook them both ;)

But this is defiantly Brims and Davids ideal work.
