The Show Off Your Tattoo Thread

I know people will moan at me, but damn... Body ruined.

I think they are a mixture of names - I recognise some from World of Warcraft: Dalaran, Hillsbrad Foothills, The Barrens.

Hey guys had my first tattoo done on Friday, just 3 names on the underside of my arm, I have been using Bepanthen cream 3-4 times a day, but I am getting a little concerned as with it being so hot I am getting very sweaty, I ride my bike to and from work each day so I am having to shower each evening, I have washed it tonight and not applied any cream and its drying a little and it looks fine.

Between the cream, the heat and my sweat should I now stop using Bepanthen and let it heal by itself of should I still be using Bepanthen its so thick my arm looks wet and greasy all day long when I use it and the heat isn't helping.

how do you go about covering something that is black? I got three done when i was 15 and i regret two of them as one os too small and the other looks naff.

It is a black panther sitting on top of a skull which fills a fair bit of my upper arm and im not sure how to go about filling it.Im thinking about a full upper arm covering for it but really dont want to have it recolored and part of the full arm tat either.

anything creative that can be done?

Your main concern should be keeping it out of the sun as much as possible before it has healed. You'll be fine skimping out during the day but just throw some on in the evening, in fact Bepanthen isn't even a necessity when it comes to healing tattoos, of course it helps with the itching but they're usually fine healing on their own.

I have kept it out of the sun its on the underside of my arm so its not really an issue, I haven't had any itching at all yet, I was just worried as it looked wet all the time, but I have just had a shower, let it dry for an hour and put a small amount of cream on, think it will be done soon.

I doubt there are many competent tattooists on here so go to whoever will be doing the work and ask them. Solely based on what you've said I doubt they'll be able to cover the whole thing but will be able to rework and improve it immensely, depending on who you go to of course. Find someone who is solid though. Don't skimp out again or you'll end up with more work you'll regret. You definitely get what you pay for when it comes to tattoos.

It'll be fine, and to be honest you don't want to drown any tattoo you have. Little bit of cream will suffice, especially with names, it won't take much.

I prefer to keep using Bepanthen for 3 weeks after a tattoo, starting with 4 times a day in the first week to 2-3 for the second week and then just touch it up now and then in the 3rd week.

For the best healing keep using Bepanthen, you definitely don't want to tattoo drying out too much as it can affect the ink taking to the skin.

You don't want to paste it on to your arm so if it's look wet and greasy you may have used a bit too much cream on it. You want to use a couple of pea sized amounts of cream depending on how big the tattoo is/how big the shading is.

Definitely keep it out the sun though as the wound will still be fresh and you don't want to be getting sunburnt on that!

Ok so today I had another 7 hour session, had a Mario Star added to my gaming themed sleeve, a Dragon Ball added to my anime leg and also this added to my Anime themed leg
