970 vs 390
Nice god rays and the 970 image looks washed out.

Only hitches for first 5-10 seconds upon map load so isn't really an issue.
Can get hitching (intermittent) during gameplay as well as some people have found - I suspect the difference is due to nVidia's use of shader caching.
I'm stunned how well the game runs for the graphics settings but its kind of putting pressure on me to upgrade as my 780 runs 60-80fps with dips just below 60fps in heavy firefights and I'm way too much of a 100+fps junky. (Clocks I'm running put this card more or less equal with a stock 980 for performance).
Its defiantly just for a few seconds at the start for me. Is the hitching on all maps?
Your right it really does![]()
2 games released at the same time. One looks incredible, runs great for everybody, everyone happy. The other looks a bit meh and runs like crap.
If I can find a key cheap enough I'll pick it up at the weekend, quite enjoyed the beta, just not quite enough to justify £40 worth of game with £40 worth of DLC.
People on the Internet are starting to claim there are a lot of issues with their Star Wars Battlefront PC copies, especially when it comes to optimization with AMD graphics cards. In particular, users are spreading the word on Reddit that the game has a lot of stuttering, which both EA and DICE have not managed to fix throughout the Alpha and Beta public stages.
Star Wars: Battlefront
Reddit user 0b1w4n said he even "contacted EA Games helpdesk support system about this and they told me that they have no contact with the dev studio and could do nothing to help me. She even said my only option is to get this publicized".
He also expressed his own opinion about this matter, which is clearly the opinion of most gamers on the Internet, which is "it's unfair they were able to release a product that is buggy for full price to so many people. It needs to be fixed ASAP."
While it is almost common on PC to see AMD graphics cards not receiving the level of polish Nvidia hardware has with the biggest triple-A titles, we think it's not respectful for the thousands of players out there to release a game that has such big and annoying issues, especially after months of Alphas and Betas.
Do they still matter, at this point? Another user says he "tried the new beta drivers but they were so much worse. When I join a game I am literally getting 1-8fps for around 30 seconds but after that it's totally fine. My menus etc stutter all the time."
