AHH also just purchased these for the same purpose ...
Note the 3 storks on the left of the wheel (the top one is the wipers which definitely aren’t auto). I just much prefer the model 3 cleanliness, this feels like a car of the last gen.
Where did you get your Black badges from? I have done mine and they do look good but the adhesion isn't great, i'm not confident they will stay on and are already showing signs of lifting. Mine were ebay (I also have the duel motor one to do but have held back for a moment)
Yeah I found the setting… it was on but they don’t seem to work for me so mehI am with you totally, the new model s does go a long way toward looking more modern internally, but remember that this car actually came out in what, 2012/13 initially for launch in the US? It’s a fairly old car now if you think of it like that
The wipers are automatic though, if they are not for you then they are either broken or I think you can switch them off in the settings menu. Every remotely decent car for 20 years has had automatic wipers let alone a Tesla
I would reconsider the plasti-dip option. The overlays never quite fit properly, reduce the gap between the top of the “t” and the line, plus they sit over the badge against the bodywork which could collect dirt and rub…There seems to be a lot about and prices vary wildly but went for these in the end
Yes. The standard plate holder is fixed to a smaller backing plate and wobbles like crazy.Very nice. Is that just the standard plate holder with the surround removed?
Interesting, makes sense why the lead times are so long on them at the moment.
The old LFP SR+ just didn’t quite have the legs but I’ll check it out.
Speculation of new motors and / or battery types and supported by breakdown of the VIN numbers some are receiving
I was also told in CS Chat that some of the currently being shipped ( on the way from Shanghai) Q4 deliveries will have this new spec
From my VIN number (unconfirmed / found in the source code) CS think (if the VIN stays the same) I should get the new configuration
Thanks, what was the old SR+ WLTP range? 280ish?
I doubt it’ll have any difference in hardware and will be merely software optimisations that give it more range than the old SR+So potentially looking at an extra 14-15 miles real world, call me intrigued. I’ll keep an eye out for some analysis from the usual people.
