The "Top Gear", Season 24/25/26 thread

Tedious, all 3 saying great things to each other, way too long on praising those cars and a plain celebrity session. They like each other too much.
Why take 3 V8 sports cars to unmade American roads. Chris is still playing too silly, Rory trying too hard to be not so ordinary and Joey still hasn't broken the mould yet.
They could at least do some stuff on some interesting cars.
Andi.

I enjoyed it better than the other dross on tv lately. The Mustang was very nice..

Reminded me of going for a road trip with my buddy as his Mustang is essentially identical to that, 5.0 SC kicking out 800 horses, bright yellow, full 350 kit and a lot more besides. Plus our drag races tend to be similar, I am ahead upto 100 and then he just flies on by like I am going backwards, the acceleration in his car 100-160mph is just plain bonkers.

But they had three epic cars tonight and I feel they could not have made it any more boring about them, they could have done a lot more fun stuff, but hey Sunday nights are better with Top Gear than without. :)

I like the new TG...it's still not as funny as the best of old TG but the chemistry is improving and, dare I say it, I think it's better than GT! For me the move to Amazon and big budget has had a detrimental impact overall and I just don't think JC etc are having as much fun as they used to.

Does anyone else get slightly aroused watching Chris Harris drive cars to their limits.

He seriously impresses with a perfect mix of showboating but also hustling a car along right on the bleeding edge.

The Stig has lost his appeal with Harris in the show now as he's probably faster anyway.

Harris needs to take on Sabine at the Ring this season.

Last half was reasonably good - few actual funny moments in that half the first felt a bit forced.

Dunno about aroused but I find his ability to show how good a car really is or isn't seriously impressive.

I have no idea which of them would win - but Chris managed a 4th place position on there IIRC against some seriously legit drivers and Sabine never managed to take a top 10 place against the same drivers in other years in the same competition (her wins were in an earlier version against good but not as good drivers).

Not being dismissive of her but I think she is going to need every bit of her extensive experience to edge out Chris in a serious race on there.

Why has the new series of Top Gear (series 25) been lumped in the series 24 thread?

I don't get the moderation in this place sometimes.
