The "Top Gear", Season 24/25/26 thread

Overall I enjoyed it.

Liked the new studio, the format with the celeb. Enjoyed the trio on their road trip and it definitely got better as the episode went on.

If MLB does a bit less acting in the studio it will be a pretty good all rounder.
 
Better than a few TGT episodes.

Things look good.

TGT went all out first episode and then really had a few dull ones before getting better.

I would be very happy with a straight down the line serious car show just like they started with the £2 million Ferrari. The comedy and the missions are of no interest to me without Clarkson, and even then, it was getting a bit tired.
 
Much better than the episodes I watched of the last series. Not bad, could be better. I hope TG and TGT both make good viewing, two car shows are always better than one. (Note: Unless one of the shows is Fifth Gear. That was just ****!)
 
Half decent first episode. The Ferrari feature was excellent, the main feature wasn't too bad but the SIARFC was awful and needs to be dropped.

Of the three, Rory's by far the most natural presenter and Chris is by far the worst. Bar the Ferrari feature, he looked completely out of his depth in the studio and his chemistry and banter with the other two seemed way too forced.

Hoping it'll improve as the series progresses but they need to ditch some of the old ideas and features and make the program their own.
 
I'm not overly sold on it, that said a few parts where good but the new studio looks good though now.
 
Doesn't anyone remember the first few seasons of 'new' TG? Jason Dawe and Hammond when he started were all so wooden. You're all comparing a team that had worked together for over 10 years to one that's been together for a year or so at most.
 
I really liked this episode. But i really like chris harris so perhaps im bias. I think they have found their feet and it really shows how much of a frankenstein the last series was.

Same here, called the btcc tribute vovlo when it rolled onto the screen after white and blue paint, tickled me ;) also, considering his chequered past with ferrari bbc pulled some strings to get that drive in the fxx....

I personally enjoyed the show more than the GT or TG of the recent past. Some good laughs in the feature section, and some bits for the enthusiast. Looking forward to rest of series!
