The Touchpad Android thread

Yes and it now seems to turn itself off.

Having a nightmare connecting to an enterprise network.

Tried it in that order, I think it's doing a reboot loop now.

strange

I just done those 3 wipes after installing cm7 then just updated to this.

Haven't had one reboot yet, it does say on the xda forums sometimes it will reboot 2-3 times during the first few uses until system settings have been saved or something along those lines

Will monitor. Anyone have a work around for connecting to an enterprise network? I remember finding a solution for my X10 but that was months ago. Using an app called Wifi Config which is part of the solution just not the way I am doing it.

Was just browsing xda dev and seen this is quite popular

[vB2.9.1 Odexed][CM7 XRON-ified][Super Tweaked]

Anyone using this?
Yep, I quickly went back to cm7 as it keeps rebooting at random.

FWIW, did a clean wipe and loaded the full fat version and while rebooting isn't a problem, the web browser locks up often. Another clean wipe and I'm back on cm7 which doesn't have either problem.

It's hilarious booting into webos after using a3.5. It's so frustratingly laggy and slow.

Think I am going to go down the same route, have some issues with market locking up and e-mail not working correctly.

Looks like im going to go to back to cm7 (which i never even tried before flashing to this)

So hopefull all is well there!

Just patiently waiting on CM9 now :D

Does anyone else find from time to time it feels a bit "laggy" in cm7

Like switching home screens and opening the app drawer don't seem perfectly smooth?

edit: nevermind after some tweaking its running smooth

This ROM is nice! Despite the rebooting problems, it is fine for day to day use! Very fluid! Some elements (boot or even the menu to restart/turn off) are much faster than webOS. Just need to find a media player to play 720p files.

I can't believe how good this is for under £100!

Stuck XRON CM7 @ 1.9GHz on it and looking forward to ICS soon.

hmmm not sure if serious?

the fact you got it for under £100 is irrelevant, the parts alone were worth over £200 at the time and its RRP was £400+.

say if you managed to get a brand new ferrari for £100 due to winning a competition and you basically had to pay £100 for the admin fee. you could hardly say omg my car is amazing cant believe it was only £100, etc.

if you had been talking about the Monte Carlo which has a RRP of around £100, then yeah that's true it is simply amazing for under £100.

tried android on mine, not really liking it so far, have gone back to webos
but i will be intrested in ICS as i think that would be more suitable
on a side note, when shutting down via android it starts itself back up after a hour or so
shutting down via webos it stays shut down

BORING!

What?

Of course the price you paid for it makes a difference. The fact that the parts and RRP are higher, well that just makes the deal that much sweeter.

Oh, and if I got a ferrari for £100, of course I'd go round saying I can't believe it was only £100, everybody would, as you had just paid £100 for £100,000 worth of car!

But its not a £100 touchpad. Its a £400 touchpad.

People know the value of a ferrari, they know it clearly is worth much much more. The touchpad is a high end piece of hardware.

Its not the price, its the worth.

That's not what we're saying.

"Look what I got for £100" is making the point that the worth is far more than what I paid for it.

To put it simply, as we paid a lot less for them, the value we received is a lot higher than if we paid the RRP.
