Just installed ICS after not using Cynagenmod since the first Alpha, also had to fix that since WebOS had updated since. Bit of headscratching but it was quite straightforward with the help of a youtube video.

First impressions of ICS is it's very swish looking, and the stock browser is a big improvement, it seems very smooth at the moment, will be happy when they get YouTube HD playback working.

i have downloaded some HD videos and they dont work either when they used to on the old CM7.

this is a big issue for me, so i hope the video is fixed soon.
 
Yeah i know, just being silly.

I'll crack on soon as the things charged up.

It'll be nice to head back to android, especially ics.
 
Robb, can't i just go straight into cm9 or do i have to install cm7 alpha first?

I have the folder all good to go.

Edit ahh cm7 alpha 3.5 is ics doh lol.

Never mind i had a brain fart.
 
Cheers str, that nubs guide sorted it, it's now going through the process.

Mind it wouldn't find the acme installer in the command prompt, only because they renamed it acme 2 doh!!!

Anyway got a bunch of linux penguins and a whole lotta writing going on.

Edit - Ooer said boot sector and bootfile are different, stayed on that for a long while.

Now decided to go ahead with the installation, so something was amiss, perhaps it was down to my using an older version of webos threw it a bit?

Anyway says it's inflating the system files.

Yay booting CM9.
