Don'nt even need to use acme for future updates, just plonk the update.zip on the touchpad , reboot the device into clockwork mod and use that to flash the update restart and bobs your uncle.
Half bricked my TP doing this. Had an old CM7 install I forgot about and started messing around with trying to remove it the hard way.
Ran the WebOS doctor and all seemed fine. Went to copy files to cminstall and it said disk needed formatting. Stupidly clicked ok and formatted the disk in windows. Killed the SD card partition and then spent 5 hours on google and using novacom and novaterm to reset all the stores and logical partitions back up the hard way.
Got it flashed back into 3.0.5 WebOS and did a clean CM9 install.
Happy days it works great
I tried 3 (3.0.0, 3.0.4 and 3.0.5) versions of Doctor. They all got stuck at 12%.
Running the doctor through command line to get a view of the progress and it was coming up with cluster out of range errors in the recovery partitions. In order to repair I had to remove all logical partitions from the store and recreate. Then had to reset the file system to F32 with a few switches and ensure that ignore errors was disabled.
Then had to flash to 3.0.0 to restore the partitions and let it complete using the doctor. then flashed again to 3.0.5 with the doctor and let it complete.
After I had a standard TP I then did the CM9 install from scratch and it worked fine
Whilst the WebOS doctor is a great of kit, it does not always work and there are a lot of people out there getting stuck at 12% once they break the SD partition.
As annoying as it was, it was quite fun to learn something new
OK my screen has stopped responding to touch. Any idea how to force a power cycle? If I hold power down I get a dialog box asking me to confirm I want to power off.
Did you check your wireless router was functional?Having some major issues with Wi-fi last night. It disconnected and just would not connect again. Anyone else having major issues? Does forcing the wireless AP onto a single channel rather than auto really do much?
Loving CM9 and the apps and feel but without wireless its kind of pointless.
Right I'm confused, do you have to install CM7 before installing CM9?
Nope, you can just run ACMEInstaller2 and flash CM9 straight over the top
So just this method - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1305891
But with the newest ACME and CM9 instead?
First problem after 20 minutes of use, the screen became unresponsive.
