The Touchpad Android thread

Can someone tell what is generally accepted to be the best browser on android at the moment?

I do like the stock browser but woulda liked to see some sort of speed dial settings.

Also, how do I force the normal stock browser to stop going to a mobile version of a website that I'm browsing?
 
Thanks guys, didn't realise bs player was the best, all others dont seem to work for network streaming of mkvs. All working lovely now!
 
I flashed to the 20120410 nightly last night after sticking with a build since February. The hardware acceleration and general smoothness is excellent now.
 
Where did you get 20120410 from? I can only see up to 20120408.

Flashed to 408 - Market/Play doesn't load.

Hi, is there any updates since CM9 Alpha 2?

And what is best video player to play AVI files? I can't manage to play AVI files on TP- vitalplayer and vplayer seem to play but laggish and with sound problems.

Also, does anybody have random restarts?

and sometimes I have problem with wifi connection?!
 
Zero random restarts.

I have wifi problems endlessly.
The connection just stops working, and I have to turn wifi off and on again, often many times, to get it to work again. This is my one big issue with it at the moment.
 
I got random restarts often, however deleted about 10-20 apps which are not supported on TP and haven't noticed so far.

I loose connection when not near router, however on same distance(s) Galaxy's S2 wifi connection is strong & stable.

I was getting the same thing several times a day. I read somewhere today that changing the wireless channel on the router has helped some people. I was using Channel 11 previously and have now switched to channel 6 and as yet, no wifi disconnections. Also I read something about changing the settings so that wireless doesn't go to sleep (Wifi Settings/Advanced). Give it a go :)
 
I have just installed the new AOKP rom today, all looks good so far.

Is there any way to mvoe the navigation bar to the top of the screen? Im sure I did it a while ago on one of the CM builds but can't remember how?!

I'll try it out. Already on channel 6, but maybe I'll try switching to a less congested channel. I know channel 6 is fairly congested around my house.
 
I'm not really clued up on the development side of things but does anyone know if it would ever be possible to connect a USB flash drive or similar to be able to transfer files onto the touchpad?
 
I fancy buyin a tab, is this worth buying over the iPad 1 16gb? prices for touchpad 16gb are around 140 and i m sure i can grab a iPad 1 for around same price.How does the touchpad compare?
