Hi all,
Wondering if anyone can shed light on a symbol which is used on my oly omd em-1.
When I turn on the camera at the top right of the screen there is a rectangle with a few star like shapes which appears for a second then disappears. If I remember correctly it also appeared on the Canon 400D I had. Does it indicate prepping of memory card? Or even prepping of sensor?
I can't seem to find it in the manual at all. I had taken a photo of the screen but as I'm typing this on my phone I can't find any option to attach the photo so will attach it later.
P.S: have had the em1 with 12-40mm 2.8 pro for over a year and absolutely love it. Amazing quality as jpeg straight from the camera

Hi all,
I think I'm having a 'moment' and I need someone to slap some sense into me...
As you all know, I've got an Olympus E-PL5 and the Oly PT10 Underwater housing to go with it.
This year, I'm making a serious investment into some m4/3 glass and selling most of my DSLR stuff to fund it, mainly because I don't need it as after Sept 12th I won't be shooting weddings anymore. I'll be keeping one lens, the 35L and the 5D3 body.
Now, I keep seeing the E-M5 Mk2 floating around, and from what I can see its a bloody fantastic bit of kit. and I have to say it's tempting to sell the E-PL5 + housing + ALL DSLR kit to do a complete swap over to the E-M5 Mk2 and get an appropriate housing for it.
Can anyone tell me if they have any real world experience with this camera? What is it like? Does it still have the size and weight advantages that I love about the E-PL5? Also, can anyone compare it to the E-PL5? IQ wise, usability, etc etc?
I'll get some up this weekend. Only found those images as they were auto backed up in the cloud from phone

What does the symbol circled mean?
I've made the switch from Canon to this set-up below and I wouldn't go back. Only really had a quick play so far taking some street shots (only had a couple of hours spare in China - business trip)
It was great being able to hold the thing in one hand whilst walking around (paired with a finger strap and a small shoulder bag) I didn't want a strap as they just get in the way and the feel of the camera is just lovely to hold.
The lens is obviously a bit of a weight but it didn't exactly bother me. The speed of autofocus is incredible, coupled with the silent shutter for being more discreet is fantastic. The EVF is spot on and is great for autofocus options. Off to the zoo this weekend so will have more of a play then
