The µ43 thread - welcome to the really dark side

I have just purchased a 60mm macro lens on ebay using dwi i notice king for a day used the same ebay seller ,did you receive your item ok ,and did you wait long for it ,getting ready for the olympus 4.0 firmware update.

Yup mine arrived after about 3 working days, all fine.

Hey guys!

Hope you're all well.

Quick one - I've got the Oly 7-14mm, does anyone know if there is a filter system for it at all please? I'd love to take some longer exposures at some places we've been visiting during the day :)

TIA!
Jake

By the time you've forked out on 150mm Lee filters it might be cheaper, easier and more compact just to buy a 9-18 for long exposure work :p

Some one has 3d printed a holder to adapt to the lens so you can use your filters ,i have the 9-18 swap yah lol ,to be honest the olympus 7-14 would be a better option over the 9-18 it is ok at 9 but gets softens by 18. and f 4-5.6 is not always desirable and 7 over 9 is still quite a bit different on the wide.

I meant as a second lens as well as the 7-14 :p

I see your point now good idea.
but he will probably want to use graduated filters as well so it will not work out cheaper and with the adaptor you can use 100mm filters so some reduction?

Will await some photos of some small round items close up! Though also has its benefits when taking landscapes as you can change the focus point on the fly after taking the photo? I wonder if you can do that in lightroom too afterwards.

Whats the cheapest price for the EM5 ii nowadays?

just uploaded firmware v 4.0 on my em-1 nice features ,increased ibis 5 axis now in video wish i had this when filming the vulcan, focus bracketing and stacking ,electronic shutter ,11 fps s-af ,peaking improved set mine to red
silly really i have just purchased the 60mm macro lens for focus bracketing /stacking because i assumed it was one of the only lenses to support it ,but no all m43 af lenses support focus bracketing but only 3 support in camera stacking the 2 pro lenses and the 60mm macro
oh well got a good price £225 on ebay
now then i am not the most clued with macro can you bracket your exposures as well as focus then combine in software i am using helicon software ?(probably camera limitation)

Firmware 2 in my mark 2 em 5. Just need to put all the settings back now. Oh and I had to do 4 lens firmware updates as well :)

The place phate got his from. Just over £500 and uk dispatched and no import duties. Bargain for such a capable camera really.

getting excited my 60mm macro lens arrives tomorrow paid £225 free delivery ebay ,almost plunged for a nocticron as well second hand on ebay for £540 buy now,but that can wait i already own the oly 75mm f1.8 ,and i probably better off getting the cheaper panasonic or olympus 45 ,42,5 as i am not sure how much i would use it ,well if it was the nocti probably all the time the 75 really can be awkward at times
it is alright if your outside or in long halls.

yeah im loving my 25mm and 45mm but I still want the 75mm lol

the 12-40 f2.8 pro is an amazing lens though for £400
