I love that some the people of GD that hate immigrants so much and use such colourful and emotive language, yet say nothing.
It seems the brainwashing is more ingrained than I first feared. The aduacity of some posters is staggering; to criticise someone for defending their own shores when having left their own is staggering. What are you, some sort of missionary? Do me a favour **** off back to where you came from and allow us to wallow in our own misery or just accept the fact that the craphole you were born in will never be as good as this country.

I tried to find a legitimate point in this post, but there seems to be nothing of relevance, rationality or logic.
At one point the message seemed to be "People who've emigrated to the UK aren't allowed to criticise people who make bigoted statements about immigrants" (a nonsensical assertion to say the least), but after that it became hopelessly confused.
You do realise, surely, that many people leave their home country with every intention of returning? I'm a case in point; I'll be going back home in January 2009, after 4 years in the UK. I have British citizenship, but that's neither here nor there; I'm an Australian born and bred, and Australia is where I prefer to live.
If you're going to enter a debate on this topic, you are well advised to bring facts to support your wild assertions. To date, you have contributed nothing of merit, addressed none of the counter-arguments presented by others, and failed to substantiate your claims.

i find it funny that lots of english people want to move to aussie because, well a lot of things are a LOT better there.(edit:- incase that wasn't clear, it was to AJUK who insists its better here for everything while complaining that everything here sucks because of immigrants? , i too want to move away, not a huge amount of choice these days, aussie, NZ, USA, canada, brazil(hmmm, brazillian ladies), ).
as for this thread. percentage of chavs and just, flat out lower than pondscum idiots who go around mugging, graffiti-ing, breaking and entering, murdering, raping, etc, etc, etc. every "bad" story i hear about two kids beating an old man to death, two kids putting a child on train tracks and watching him die, two kids this and that, its all ENGLISH WHITE kids. now it might just be me but, thats where the problems of this country arise, those scum of the earth kids grow into scum of the earth adults who continue to commit crimes. even IF immigrants where a problem, lets be honest some are but most aren't, there would still be a ridiculously higher ratio of bad white people commiting crimes, and that number is increasing.
AS for the Pole's, they do seem to be everywhere at the moment in London, but frankly i've not met one i didn't like. Tesco's delivery guys seem to be Polish a lot and one of them was talking about how crap his bosses are as the guys that loaded up the truck and picked stuff managed to crush all the bread, loads of cans and loads of wrong picks. ANyway he went on to say he's waiting here for 5 years to get the right papers to be able to move the Canada, he's been on a waiting list for those Ice Trucker Jobs for years. He said a LOT of Polish people don't really want to be in the UK as there arent' loads of jobs anymore, its not good anymore, but its a soft touch and its exponentially easier to move to Canada or somewhere like aussieland or elsewhere from the UK than from Poland and lots of other places. I can see at some point our immigration rates massively dropping as the our economy goes into freefall, there aren't many jobs and half the current immigrants do what they planned and move on to greener pastures.
People that complain about immigrants are idiots, because we can't deal with crappy ecomony, chavs, theives, murderers and rapists properly, blame it all on the one thing the government could stop if they wanted. closing our immigration policy would be infinitely easier than fixing a nations crappy parenting, fixing our legal and penal systems as well as education systems. those 4 are responsible for rise in crime and increasing intolerance and crappy behaviour, and the majority is white kids.
EDIT:- i really don't like the current generation of youths full stop, stupid, selfish, braindead, violent, loud, mean with a distinct lack of morals. that goes for white, black and asian, indian, any youths. these aren't imigrants though, they are british born and behave as people around them do, dumb and uneducated which is what our education, or lack thereof does. Immigrants, some might be bad, i've not met a nasty "immigrant" i've met many immigrants who are nice, respectful funny and friendly, inteligent and worthwhile people. Indian's in general seem to be incredibly polite people from my 25 years experience. because thats how they are over there, its when they come here and have their children grow up in our current culture that their kids are worse, its nothing to do with race, its just how people are taught, treated and grow up lately.
THe fact that immigrants by and large from my experience are fine but the next generation are EQUALLY as bad as white british kids leads me to say its OUR culture, our schools, our everything thats the proble, not the immigrants, not their race. the majority of problems start with the generation that are born here, not the ones that move here. infact i think its often the 2nd generation born here.

Don't worry about it, I don't think the anti immigrant section of GD lets facts and logic get in the way of there opinions.
neither does a lot of the unlimited immigration side either.

*my personal stance, only trained immigrants, unless there is a specific field that currently need more workers*

Whilst I have never met someone who is truly pro unlimited immigration, the pro immigration are normally allot less vocal because they are not ranting on, blaming there own short comings or this countries problems on an easy targetable alien source.
To point out the flaws in someones idiotic rantings is not to say they are pro immigration, simply just anti blind stupidity.

Where did you find an Englishman of Anglo-Saxon descent? Considering the degree of mixing with Britons (who had already mixed with Romans), Scandanavians, French (Normans), maybe Picts, probably some Irish, French again some centuries later...and why merge Angles and Saxons anyway, while we're on the subject - England is Angleland...with all that, I wouldn't bet much money on their being anyone alive today who is of only Anglo-Saxon descent.
England has been as mixed as a bowl of lobby for two millenia.
I don't see a problem with immigration. I do see a problem with large-scale immigration without assimilation, i.e. large numbers of people settling here who aren't British (or English, Welsh or Scottish) and don't want to be. That isn't immigration - it's gradual conquest.
