lol.. I thought you might have made some mods ;)

Nah gave up on that, do a few bits & bobs on request but there's no money to be made in custom mods.
Unless you have a following that think everything you churn out is sent from the gods them selves:rolleyes:

shame, I was really looking forward to a custom. :)

I actually just priced up a squape from parts using the bell cap rather then standard tank, still comes out at around £100, bloody deck is £53 without plates or airflow ring!!

I think my sqaupe setup is around £200 pounds now.. lol

sqaupe rs
bell cap
three decks in total
spares..

me personally, I would just get the standard rs box with a choice of deck. the bell cap is nice but you want a standard tank too due to juice crackers.

I'll stick with the standard for now with wide deck, airflow good on it? It's my one major gripe with the kfv4, low airflow means mtl only.

Tempted by a DNA200 mod.

One of these
http://www.shapeways.com/product/CF...x23-battery?li=shop-results&optionId=57454251

With a turnigy 1500mah 3s lipo pack. Will give a good days use on a full charge and a nice big contestant discharge. After looking a lipos last night if you're willing to run a box mod big enough you can get some silly silly power

I have constant issues with lipo packs at work, we have around 1500 devices with 800mah packs, current failure rate due to battery expansion is around 35%, now at the point where I can only give them an 18 month shelf life, worth noting they all expand during charge and not discharge though, getting the charge cycle nailed in the firmware on the devices has been a pain.

Thanks for the warning on Lipo packs pgi

How often are those packs discharged and charged? If they can with stand one charge cycle a day with an 18 month life span I can live with that, especially how cheap they are. I guess the other option would be a paid of 18650s instead of a Lipo pack and run it as a 130w device

If its built correctly, the airflow is massive! there's 6 airflow setting for the tank and adjusting it does make a difference, from lung hitting to mtl, less than a kfl+. It is (imho) the most adjustable tank there is. I prefer the B deck, just fill the deck with cotton and it's sorted.

Some daily, some monthly, depends on their usage cycle, those in storage unused will get a cycle once a month, those currently in use will be daily, we're currently trailing a new pulse charge with them, charge for 5min stop for 10, charge for 10, stop for ten, charge for 15, you get the picture, as they appear to be the most unstable with prelonged charge, even when the cycle is complete, I'll try snap some pics of some messed up lipo's tomorrow.

Worth noting when they do expand, that's all they tend to do, no fires or explosions unless you puncture them.

Sounds right up my street, I was going to wait for my cthulu v2 before buying the squape but I'm impatient and have done lots of overtime this month :D

Second that on the B deck loads of flavour too :)

Easy to build on, easy to fill & easy to clean, running a 3mm dia 8 wrap 0.32 NI 200 in mine coming in at 1.0 Ohm perfect.

Cheers all

As an RC enthusiast, I'm well versed in LiPo safety. Believe me, LiPo batteries are very dangerous if not handled correctly. Never leave them fully charged and never discharge them below 3.5V per cell.
Ever seen a LiPo fire? Not good.

Do any of you buy pre mixes for your DIY juicing? I cba with mixing the VG/PG/Nic together I just want to add concentrate and be away with it.

Wheres best?

Just get it seperately, man. Then you can experiment with different ratios.

It's so simple mixing by weight as well! I mixed up 120ml earlier and it took me about 2 mins per bottle (4x30ml).

THESE are the best scales to use for mixing up to 250ml - 3min auto-off timer as well.

Had a little read of the op as I haven't a clue about vaping and I don't smoke. Im reading this because my brother (18) has started vaping. He doesn't smoke as far as I know. But has taken to vaping, which im a little worried about.
Like I said I read the op and apparently we don't know if its safe or not:eek: How is this stuff getting sold?
Whats in it, is there tobacco, and anything else I should be concerned about?

If you want to read further into it, with legitimate articles, I can suggest http://www.ecigarette-research.org/research/

I haven't, but a friend who has a lot to do with RC models had a Lipo pack explode on the work bench years ago.

The chances of it being left fully charged are pretty slim as I don't charge batteries over night so it would go on charge for a few hours in the evening, have an hour or so use then left. Proper charging and over-discharging arent an issue as the DNA200 has a balance port for charging and individual cell monitoring and I *think* their software allows you to set a cut off voltage.

For simplicity/safety it does seem like dual 18650 is a more sensible idea though

cotton bacon?

is that a wind up or you for real? :p

Cotton bacon v2 ftw!!!

I know your pain. Popped into home on the way past and have a red card, but no normal post so my Chefs Vapour order is being held captive and there's a small chance my Goblin Mini might be waiting for me from FastTech when I get home. I wish I'd ordered the Goblin from the UK as FastTech didn't have stock at the time so its been close to 3 weeks since I placed mh order
