Anyone got any info on when the Cthulhu v2 is supposed to become available? It's the only RTA I'm looking forward to at the moment due to the post design. It's the same as the Velocity RDA which is just utterly brilliant and a joy to coil.

I got an email on Friday from vapordepot saying my pre order was delayed by around a week and stock is due with them some time this week, I'll dig up the email when I get home tonight. They threw in 15% off for the delay too :D

In the description it says they're offering two glass tanks...1 clear and 1 frosted.

Is that right? I'm pretty sure Cthulhu said the frosted tank was only for the prototype.

Deffo want one but I'll hold off till its in stock someplace.

Has anyone used the Twisted Messes RDA? Very tempted in picking one up because they look good, and have heard good things about them!

Yes i use 1 , for big coils that need massive airflow it is excellent.
Post holes are huge , so the pair of Clapton's i have in it are easily catered for.
24 gauge inner , wrapped with .25 around a 3,o mm drill bit.
Ohm's out about .35 & even @ 150 watts the vape is still relatively cool with airflow @ max settings.
It does have a few quirks but i really like building , using it.

Quick question about building. When screwing down the coil into the post hole, does the wire need to be under the screw at its base, or can it be touching the inner part of the screw to the left or right?

It's better to be under the screw directly otherwise it tends to loosen especially when repositioning or centring your coil.

Also depending on what chip you run (mines a Dna40) you'll notice the resistance consistently changing when the coil is not secure inside the post hole during firing.

It's not the end of the world when it isn't, but a much more consistent vape when it is. Be sure to retighten the screw once your happy with the build.

Here we go:

Good Evening Everyone

Thank you for your recent pre-order of the Cthulhu RTA V2!

I just wanted to drop you an email to give you an update on shipping.

Originally, stock was supposed to leave the factory tomorrow (28th) which would have reached us by Tuesday. Unfortunately the glass manufacturer has had a small delay which will put the shipment to us back by 3 days. This will be shipping to us on Monday.

Based on this, we are looking to have your orders shipping to you around 4th September.

To thank you for waiting, we are issuing our usual pre-order discount code.

Good Morning All!

Following on from m y email yesterday, we've had an official update from Cthulhumod this morning:

We are very sorry to tell you that we are not able to ship your order as shipping schedule, because the glass factory delay our glass tubes and cause our shipping postponed 3-4 days. Sincerely apologize again for the inconvenience and we will let you know once your order is ready to ship.

Further to that, we've also received more info on what is included in each kit:

1 x Cthulhu RTA V2
1 x Spare Glass Tank
1 x Extra Drip Tip
2 x Spare O-Ring Sets(They will come in white, blue and red)

And finally, just to wet your appetite....

I'll provide a further update to everyone early next week.

Happy Vaping!

Torchy has just listed the Efest Blu6 charger.... don't need it but... bluetooth lol

Also got the 30q's. Do I go for those or 25r's?

Personally i swap batteries out when they are about 3.5v / 3.6v(about 1/3 battery life left on my Snow Wolf or IPV4 s) so a lot of the extra life is below my normal use so will make little difference .
25r's & HE 4's are my regular batteries(from Torchy) , well respected batteries & seller , they are also cheaper than 30q's.
If you are using them below 15 amps then they may be worth the extra(looked at a few reviews).
IMHO of course.

And i've just this second gotten this update:

Good Evening Everyone!

Thanks for being patient with us on this pre-order, as I know how anxious everyone is to get their hands on it (me included!)

We had confirmation from Josh at Chulhumod earlier today that the glass has arrived for the tanks. He advised that they should be shipping this weekend. There is a national holiday in China next week which could cause a slight delay, therefore we expect to receive them late next week.

When we get tracking information, we'll confirm the good news that everyone has been hoping for and provide an ETA of when they will be shipping from ourselves.

Don't forget that while you wait, the voucher cthulhuv2 is still available for any last minute bits you want to add to your order.

If there is anything we can do while your waiting, please let me know (even if you want to send me some hate mail for being the bearer of delay news!)

As soon as we have any further information, we will be sure to let everyone know.

Happy Vaping!

Please note the discount code only applies to an account with the V2 on order :)

Torchy reckons the 30q's are good to 40a burst. Gone for 4 of them with a vp4 charger.

I concur.
This is exactly how I coil ti.

Cheers for this, was fiddling for ages with some ni200 and decided to try Ti in my Velocity Clone.

Wow!

Titanium sure is a lot easier to work with than NI200 and I think it gives better flavour personally...

I built a new coil recently, 4 full wraps around a 3mm bit... 24awg GR1 TI.
On my Smok TFV4... came out at 0.2ohms.

Ordered myself an IPV D2, as well as some titanium wire to try out.

I have a Smok TCT which I've been using on and off and It's a great tank but the DNA40 isn't powerful enough to use it to it's full potential hopefully the IPV D2 will change that.
