Just got an Eleaf iStick 50W. Anyone know what a sensible Voltage/Wattage setting would be for a KT Subtank mini with the 1.2Ohm vapor coils would be?

Depends on how you like them. When i was on 1.2ohm coils i never went above 20W max.

ANymore and i would be blown away.

Aim for 4 - 4.2V, so about 13w. :)

The I50w read a little high I think so maybe adjust slightly for that.

Ok cheers. I was never going to run @ 50W anyway, I only bought it as it should last a couple of days between charges and I wanted to relegate my 30W Istick clone (Vapor storm V30) to backup.

Star at 15 watts and put it up or down as you like. I personally find 25 watts is the highest the subtank likes. Also better to start low and work up until it is how you like it imo Remember and prime puff (take a draw without firing the istick) and leave the tank with juice in it a good 15mins at least before use. Id also suggest putting a few drops on either side of the wick holes to get some juice flowing.

I tend to let the juice soak for at least 1/2hour before firing up a new coil, this ones had a couple of weeks worth of action already.

I just don't trust the Voltage reading on my old iStick 30W clone, so I wanted to check before firing up this new mod.

Are there any replacement drip tips for the Subtank mini?
It's just the tip is somewhat industrial in it's width and not very tall! :o

you saying you've got a small mouth? :P

Not really, it's just compared to a cig, or one of my pen style clearomisers, it's quite wide, and as the subtank likes to pop and spit a bit occasionally, I'm less likely to get a gob full of juice with a longer tip!

to be fair ive never ever had any juice with the kanger sub tanks in my mouth but i know what you mean. My girlfriend says the same that its too big for her (guess she is used to something smaller in her mouth :()

If you have any other Kanger style tanks, the drip tip should be interchangeable. The drip tips from a Protank Mini 2 & 3 both fit the Subtank Mini flawlessly

Just bought some bottles from ibottles (who are recommended on a few vape forums), the bottles might be cheap but the postage isn't. Just under £5 min postage option for £4 worth of bottles :(

Good call, the drip tip from my EVOD mega fits, it's slightly longer and thinner and has a rounded rather than flat end! :)

Got my d2 finally...

I'm shocked myself with the size of this setup... I do have small hands.. lol

Nice Slinxy, did you add the carbon wrap? looks much better with it.

Im still waiting for notification of my VT200 and Boxer DNA200 being shipped, but the CoilMaster 521 i ordered has been held up due to a recall by CoilMaster, however the site i bought it from had an offer, the first 10 to order get a free Coil Master V3 coiling kit, got an email to say im one of the 10 :)

Yes mate, I've cloned you.. lol I got a carbon strip made for cars and stanley it out, helps with the grip. I'm impressed with the skin that came with it. I would rock it but with charging batteries externally and it being tight; I forecast issues with it.

The VT200 box mod has issues with it's 510 being clued on mate... I would confirm what version it is before getting it shipped.

I want a burning tab and a v3 kit too.. but I think it's being held up by legal reasons.

Yeah carbon is a fav of mine i must admit...

Your thinking of the VTBox200 from VapeCig, I ordered the HCigar VT200, different mod.. but still DNA200 :)

Burning Tab... thats the $170 dollar original that the 521 "emulates" lol, i could not justify that money for a gadget, even as cool and the burning tab, the coil master 521 was only £38 inc del from a UK supplier, winning the V3 coil kit was just a great bonus...

Great little mod isn't it slinxy

yes mate.. the whole setup cost me about £60 bucks so I can't complain... as stated there's no step down, shame as it would be a great noobs setup if it did.. but when your build your own coils and sub ohming, who needs step down.

it is odd thou, as lowing the power increases the ramp up time.

There is a french company that sells the Friday morning club stuff.. but your right; that amount of cash for a gizmo; I can't justify it neither.. lol

I have zero interest in a dna200 at the moment.. but that might change if I get a 3d printer at work ;)

A mate of mine at work has built a DNA200, just in a temp box until his 3D printed box arrives... it is some chip and the fast ramp up makes a difference, so i cant wait to get mine, plus i sold some kit inc my Segelei 100w, so all i have now are DNA40's a Dovpo 50w TC and a kooper mini 60w TC, and the 40's are not quite powerful enough for the TI coils, they do work and well, but i think more power is require to really get the most of them as the kooper shows them up.. and its struggling to run my TFV4 lol

The HCigar VT200 is a 1300 mAh lipo, so not sure about it for an all day mod, but the BOXER is the Dual 18650 version, so will be limited to just 130w... but i can swap out batteries as required during the day if ive no USB about me.. plus ive a load of 18650's, even bought 4 new Efest 2800mAh 35amp jobs from Torchy just for the BOXER.
