I meant the company Vamp Vape I read loads of people rave about them but I found them all pretty nasty and fake tasting.

Ah right, gotcha. Can't say I've used Vampire Vape, although as they look something of a budget outlet it wouldn't surprise me if their cheap stuff was high PG, cheap flavouring.

I was actually referring to T-Juice's own flavour called Vamp Vape. This stuff gets confusing, eh? :D

Is that bad? Oh god, you've worried me.

Is there a difference between vaping in joules over watts? What are the advantages? Do you know what how many joules I should be vaping at?

A lot of shops don't explain it correctly.. I know vaping has changed a lot from when I first started and it's harder to get normal vape stuff than it is to get high powered sub ohm stuff.

I normally vape at 17-22 watts at 1.2ohm and when I do subohm which is not that often, It's normally at 0.4ohm and around 30 watts.

I vape mainly to stop from smoking..

"Sick Clouds". "Dope Flavor". "Bling Up."
Is this what vaping has become?
Noob, PWN, Teabag, 1337, BRB, LOL, OMG, BOE, Domed, Griefing... is thsi what gaming has become?
It's a new thing and the kids are getting funky about it. I notice a lot of them seem dressed like Jay and/or Silent Bob, though...

Also I've noticed loads more vapers in public now that ever before and they all have box mods. So are more people buying box mods these days than regular devices?
Looks that way. I think it's the amount of vapour you can get out of them that people are most enthused by. They're becoming quite popular here at work.
I thought they looked ridiculous until I found a semi-compact version. Now considering getting the biggest illegitimate-child one I can afford!!

Anyone received their Cthulhu v2 yet...eager to see some reviews :)

I'm really liking my vt40 with a 0.5 ohm kanthal build with kgd cotton...vaping at 20w in a clt v3 dripper clone with 80/20 key lime pie. Sweet spot between clouds, flavour and most importantly battery life.

I will at some point try a ti coil in temp control mode with that cotton bacon youse lot go on about :D

The whole purpose of nickel and titanium coils is temperature control, to get temp control you need to be in joules mode on the 4s. You need to set the temperature target in the menu and then your joules of choice. Most with tc will start around 400-420f (420f being the burning point of cotton) and work from there, with nickel I've found 20-30J the sweet spot with my temp setting at 440f suits my personal tastes (0.07ohm coil) with titanium I've settled at 40J 485f 0.22ohm.

I tend to build my coils now so they wick extremely well, allowing me to raise temps :)

Have a good read up on temp control, lots of good videos on YouTube too.

No cthulhu v2 updates, supposed to be arriving in the UK this week so who knows!

Just thinking out loud here. A twitch streamer I watch play CS:GO is a vaper and you can often see him taking a toke on his ecig whilst playing. This got me thinking since gaming is big $$ business $$, if any of you Twitch stream why don't you get sponsored by an ecig vendor, company and eliquid manufacturer? That way you get free gear just to promote products whilst doing stuff you enjoy.

That is unless of course vaping is not allowed, but the streamer I watch does it.

What do you think? Or should I just go to sleep? lol

You're not on about PoLi are you?

I understand they shipped from China via DHL last Friday (4th), so we should be seeing them some point next week I hope!

I am but you need a rebuildable device or rebuildable deck for your device, I'm not sure if that sigelei tank is either as I've not seen it before.

IMO building the coils is the easy part, wicking is the tricky bit, but nothing some YouTube research and practise won't help :)

Okay, cool. Thanks for the help. :)

Where do you guys get your homebrew components?

Also, can anyone recommend a blue slush recipe or premixed concentrate?

the ecig shop is my prefered etailer for concentrates, the people who run it are genuinely nice people and have great prices to boot.

For PG/VG look up 'classikool' on eBay, get a litre of either for 7/8 quid delivered a piece. Bargain!

The sombrus and red astaire concentrates arrived today, can't wait to mix them up.

I recently picked up an Apollo Reliant - Review a couple of pages back.

Now this device has adjustable TCR (Thermal Coefficient of Resistance) which is adjustable between 10 and 100
ni200 on this device should be set to 69 and titanium to 40. These figures are strikingly similar to the actual TCR of these materials of 60x10^-8 for ni200 and 37x10^-8 for titanium. So, this got me thinking. The stock coils in the Aspire Triton are made of 316 stainless steel which has a TCR of 0.8x10^-8, could I make use of these coils as TC coils with this mod?
The answer seems to be "yes", at least to my limited testing methodology.

I set the device to a TCR of 10, set the temperature to 180C and the power to 60W and let her rip. A bit of an anaemic vape and the TC symbol was lit on the device after about 1 second of pressing the fire button. Cranked it up to 200C and we start getting a much better vape. A bit further to 220C and it was now too hot and tasting burned. Backed it back down to 210C and it's working fine.

This is very interesting as it appears that we can TC with SS coils on this mod, at least in a limited way.

I don't have any SS wire to do a cotton burn test and I'm not sure how I can test this further. I guess I can dry burn a coil and see if it goes in to thermal shutoff at 210C. I will have a play later.

Rilot, I would guess you can use SS, the DNA40 only has the TCR for NI200, yet you can (and I Do) use TI on the DNA40, but I have to use lower temp settings to offset the incorrect TCR, so if you can set the correct TCR then I don't see why it would not work :)

Well it does seem to work. I'm using it right now in TC mode. I think the TCR doesn't quite go low enough, as much like the DNA40 with titanium, I have to set the temperature lower than I would normally.

Interesting. I will continue with my experiments.

This is interesting, when you set the TCR for Ti wire can/do you run the at the same temps you would for Ni200?

SS seems to be missing of the TCR sheet I was looking at! Where are you getting you figures from?

interesting! TCR has only available in a few mods recently.. I'm not sure if it's on the DNA200.. I might have to look into this mod. lol

DIYers, try:

CAP Sweet Lychee - 6%
CAP Sweet Tangerine - 4%
CAP Sweet Mango - 4%

I can't get enough of this right now.

Just mixed this up @1.4% and 50/50. Tastes really nice even without steeping. Thanks very much for the recipe.
