Rilot I could kiss you :D

Just dug out my sxk60, what it describes as 'nickel purity setting' is actually TCR, set it down to 40 (was at 70 by default) and temp control is spot on with titanium.

I suspect this has the same chip, in which case keep an eye on the battery usage, it reports maybe 1/3 full when it should be reporting as flat.

Could be a hidden gem then as the sxk60 only cost me £30 from FT. One thing that does annoy me with it - and presuming the layout is the same on the Apollo - changing settings and getting to certain menus is all based on button combinations that vary on the lock state of the device, like TCR is 5 click lock, press and hold all 3 buttons etc... Can be fiddly IMO.

I think I'm all set with mods now :)

AFIAK Apollo are just re-badgers of stuff.. I don't believe that they actually make any stuff of their own. If they own the sole licensing rights for an item is another matter. :)

They say that their engineering team worked with SXK to design the chipset. Not sure how much of that I believe though.

Either way, it's a good device IMO.

Yeah, from what I read up on the SXK60 before buying, was that SXK wanted to move away from clones, ironically that ended up with the SXK60 having a DNA type display and the actual device looking like a Hana V4S. :p

Either way your new found and shared knowledge on TCR has transformed this mod for me, its gone from a £30 failed venture collecting dust to a worthy backup for my D2 :D

Glad to be of service :)

Think I'm going to order some SS wire and see how TC works with the Reliant and a dripper. I think SS may be the way of the future as you can use the same coils with TC or normal regulated mods.

interesting! TCR has only available in a few mods recently.. I'm not sure if it's on the DNA200.. I might have to look into this mod. lol

The DNA200 does indeed have TCR setting, by default it supports kanthal and NI200, but you can download the TCR for Any other wire from Steam Engine and add it to one of the 8 profiles via the Escribe software, then simply change profiles according to the wire you want to use, so kanthal, NI200, Titanium, SS etc...

What Tank/RDA/RBTA are you running, what ohms and power do you typically use?
The Istick 30w is a great we mod but the 50w has had issues so I wont recommend them myself.
There are lots of options but helps to know what power you need... are you interested in temp control, do you have an external battery charger etc...

Update on the Cthuhlu v2:

Good Morning Everyone

I was aiming to send an email update out earlier this week but wanted to wait until we had some confirmed news before an update was issued.

As some people may have heard, there were reports of an issue in Quality Control which has added a further delay.

I have spoken to Josh at Cthulhumod this morning and can confirm that this is unfortunately the case.
When final product checks were being completed, it was found that by overnighting the positive pin on the dual coil deck the post had a small chance to "sink" into the deck.

Although there have been a few delays, I understand that Cthulhumod to want to make sure there are no issues when the product reaches the customer and that it is the best it can be.

We have been advised that there will be a shipping update on Friday, and this will be provided as soon as it is available to us.

It's the nautilus mini with a vision spinner battery.

Ok a nautilus mini does not need much power, the istick 20w will do fine as would an MVP 20w, but you could also go for the more powerful istick 30w or Cool Fire IV, all four are more than enough power to run a nautilus but the latter two will give you room to up things a little should you decide to.

Yeah I want something a little better so if I upgrade then I have the battery to power it. I should have got the sub tank mini instead and bought a decent battery at the same time.

Do you know where is the cheapest place to get batteries from?

Thanks for the help!

I assume you mean 18650 batteries as used in most higher end mods... Best place for UKVapers, he also has an ebay listing.
You will need an external charger unless your happy to wait for the built in 500ma usb charging most mods offer... but the batteries in the mods I suggested for you are Not user replaceable, so you don't need 18650's or a charger for them.
If you like the look of the sub tank and fancy going sub ohm, then Kanger do the Subox and Subox Mini, both require an 18650 and external charger and were made to go with the sub tank range.

Ooh ooh ooh! SX-Mini ML-Class with support for stainless steel coils in TC mode.
