the Istick should do you for starters, see how you get on with temp control and if you like it before you think about more expensive mods...

Hi Guys, Currently running an eLeaf Istick 30w and a Aspire Nautilus Mini tank.

I am currently looking into getting myself the Kanger Subtank mini but I am a little confused by the fact it comes with a 0.4ohm and 1.5ohm coil???

Anyone got the Kanger SUBOX Kit? I dont know wether to buy the whole kit rather than just the tank.

Thanks Rilot. I'm trying to see if there is a way to change it from F to C - no biggy but just curious.

Will the iStick be sufficient or should I upgrade to something beastly?

iirc on the tc40 it just round robins, move F temp to as high or low as it go's and it should move scales to C :)

If you are new to sub ohm then the Kanger subox kit is a great starting point, yes you get two different coils, you don't have to sub ohm, the tank will work well with the higher ohms coils too, just use less battery power and safer for your batteries, like I keep telling people, you don't Need to sub ohm on a regulated mod, to get "clouds bro!" lol

People started going sub ohm on mech mods as they had limited voltage to get the watts they wanted for clouds and warmer vap, lowering the ohms was the only way to get higher watts, but with the regulated mods, you have the ability to turn the power up and down on Any coil to get the result you want and tune the vap to your desire.

I would love to say I understood that but I didn't sorry. Sub Ohm? Cloud Bro? I was wondering what the difference is between the two coils?

New dual-coil deck for the Cthuhlu v2 turned up from Vapour Depot. Super impressed with the service. I only complained on Monday!
The new deck is much better. Still not perfect but the threads are cut straight and the posts line up. Also sent me a new wick wing which fits perfectly now.

Can't recommend Vapour Depot highly enough after the way they handled this.

Thanks for the replies, took a while but I'm finally beginning to catch up with the latest ongoings in the vaping world. I understand what problem tc is trying to solve and it isn't a gimmink at all. Anyway looking forward to receiving mine, hopefully no longer than a couple of weeks and I'll buy some nickel and titanium from stealthvape.

The only problem I may face is wrapping loads of coils to acheive sub ohm compared to Kanthal and whether the deck on the billow v2 will be big enough, the velocity rda should be okay I hope.

The evic mini's fw can be upgraded too, so hopefully if there are any niggles the community can work with the manufacturer to solve them. Shame that pbusardo hasn't any oscilloscope readings on it.

Edit Todays vape mail is fruit pastels by Triphammer, bought from Vape Escape. I also might order in Lushington stash from USA as it has some good reviews.

Sorry... the .5ohm coil will take upto 24w roughly and eat high amps and low voltage, the 1.5ohm coil at the same 24w will use much less amps to run, but both can produce the same results.

.5ohm @ 24w = 3.46v and 6.93 amps

1.5ohm @ 24w = 6v but only 4 amps, so less harsh on your batteries.

Twirly, with Ni200, you cant Not wrap a sub ohm coil, its near impossible to wrap a big enough coil to get anywhere near .3ohm or higher...
With Titanium its not as hard as its resistance is higher than NI200, but still easy to get sub ohm coils, with 24awg TI, about 4 spaced wraps on a 3mm diameter is all you need to get 0.2ohms or less... or for dual coil use 26awg TI, about 7 wraps per coil..

Lol..So what is the difference between them? Apart from one using more battery? I have no clue about this stuff.

That's good to know, I emailed them earlier to tell them I'd managed to sort the chimney fitting issue and that it was user error, also that I'd just buy a new deck when available as it still functions as it should. Near instant reply with tips on straightening the post if I feel the need.

Will definitely be buying from them again that's for sure as I know I'm in safe hands should anything go wrong.

Deck on Billow 2 is not that big & if you go for 2.5 or 3 mm inner diameter coils
airflow can be restricted.
I used 30 gauge nickel to get a reasonable ohm reading(about .1 IIRC) vape was ok but not keen on flavour from nickel(seems washed out to me).
Destroyed the coils trying to rewick & chucked some kanthal builds in.

guys, I got today my eGo ONE Mini and when I pull it crackles inside (where the 0.5ohm Coil is) and I event felt the taste of juice.
I've opend it and I'm pretty sure the tank is leaking.
I did check that the tank is not too full, all parts seem to fit fine.
Does it happen often? Is it temporarry or should I return it?

Few days in with my Subox mini

All going OK so far - got the hang of dismantling, cleaning etc. and assembling the RBA coils.

Couple of things I've noticed - the pre-made 0.5 OCC coils always read at 0.6, 0.7 (2 so far) , RBA reads at correct 0.5 and seems to work a lot better - more vapour and better taste.

Ordered a couple of extra tanks to save the hassle of switching and cleaning everything to try new juices so often - bought quite a few different juices to try out.

Batteries seem to drain pretty quick but I guess that's normal.
