Is the mod variable voltage?

dont think so, just one simple battery no fancy options on it , it's meant or should be working fine with the 0.5 ohm and 1 ohm coils as its regulated and sold as a kit

I was really looking forward to vaping, this **** quallity puts me off from trying the starter kits
I mean it really feels like I'm puling from a firecracker and the thing might blow in my face any second
I cleaned it but there was no difference

thinking about jumping to mech mods and RBA or RDA

guys, I got today my eGo ONE Mini and when I pull it crackles inside (where the 0.5ohm Coil is) and I event felt the taste of juice.
I've opend it and I'm pretty sure the tank is leaking.
I did check that the tank is not too full, all parts seem to fit fine.
Does it happen often? Is it temporarry or should I return it?

Try with a 1ohm coil, the crackling is the juice vapourising very quick, the 1ohm should be a bit gentler. You can also try a liquid with a higher VG proportion, since VG doesn't crackle and spit as much, though the coils in that model do have quite small juice flow holes, may not be able to handle more than 60/40 VG/PG, since VG is more viscous.

One other thing, as far as I'm aware the eGo ONE comes with a drip tip but it isn't installed, you have got the tip in right?

I will say now though, unfortunately they aren't very good, very prone to leaking. The mini batteries aren't bad, though the bigger ones are prone to kicking the bucket.

I know this was likely a joke but I wouldn't bother with a mech mod. They need a lot of knowledge and the main reason for them (being able to use sub-ohm coils) is no longer an issue as many devices can now run subohm coils. A lot used to use them because they were fairly compact too but again box mods have come along and are smaller (if wider) than a mech.

Just got my IPV D2 and Uwell Crown, at work though so have to wait till home time :(

However regarding titanium coils, what's the ohm range I should be aiming for? Also spaced or micro coil?

If it's not vv/vw then it's likely pumping 4.2v out (I think), which on the .5 coil works out roughly 35w, which may be a bit too much for the coil to work at its best, try the 1ohm coil before writing it off completely :)

the airflow its wide open, I tried again just now and a drop of juice exploaded out of it, wtf? its like the thing wants to blow up

Might be flooded , try turning tank upside down for a couple of minutes , put some vapers towels under it & see if some juice comes out of drip tip.

thank you guys!
I forgot the damn thing at home , I'll try the 1 ohm coil tonight, the peeps from VapeEscape told me to soak the 1 ohm coild a bit (drips on the side holes) before using.

It's obvious the tank is leeking, I took 5-6 pulls and my tank is nearly empty now.
I'll see if the 1 ohm coil makes a difference.

@Crowort , maybe I'm naive or ignorant but I wasn't joking about a mech mod and RDA, I know I'm a newb but it doesn't sound that complex

so my basic undertanding is this, you have a mod (metal enclosure that hosts a battery), atomiser and a drip tip. While you can go cheap on some of the components, you should buy a good quality battery.
you have to make sure all the compoenents fit
the science comes when you make your coils, depending on your taste, you might want to go over 1ohm or under. But, you have ways of calculating and measuring what you get from the coils, with the battery you have on the mod.

to me it sounds that you have a simple setup without extra components to mess your setup, all the control comes from the coils.

am I wrong?

Aromamizer RDTA turned up today. Now this is more like it! After my disappointment with the Cthulhu v2, the build quality on this is just so, so much better. Beautiful smooth threads and quality machining.

I've ordered the Velocity deck for it and the two hole band but they won't be here for a few days.

Really looking forward to getting home and sticking a build in it.

American eliquids ordered, expensive but at the end of the day still much cheaper than cigarettes (I always have to remind myself about that before the DIY Alchemists chime in) :p

-Lushington (Peaches n Cream)
-Valhalla (Key Lime Pie with a Graham cracker finish)
-My Sweet One (Berry Trifle)
-Golden Road (Tropical fruits and a hint of tart greek yoghurt)
-Dark Star (Bready vanilla custard with dark tones of chocolate and caramel)

Hope they live up to the hype, will write my impressions of allthejuices.com as they don't appear to be on there.

Hi all, strated vaping 12 months ago, originally bought the £10 Vivid starter kit from Asda last September but in the last week I decided I'd splash-out nearly a whole £5 and bought myself a Kangertech Mini Protank 3. Very impressed with it, flavour much better but I soon realised the battery I'm using with it from the Vivid starter kit is not up to the job. So can anyone reccommend me a decent batter for the Kangertech around the £10 mark please. Something from the rainforest place would be ideal as I have vouchers.
Cheers.

Some cotton bacon arrived today (v1), has anyone tried it? Got it because it was going cheap, seems like a bit of a gimmick, my muji does the exact same thing, is a hell of a lot cheaper and much much more for the same money.

Have got a few things I'm waiting on, feel a bit like a kid at christmas!;

- Billow V2 nano
- Ohm reader (current one is reading everything at .13!)
- Kennedy V2 RDA
- 150W Storm box mod
- Subtank mini bases
- Subtank mini bellcaps
- Drip tips
- 3 IPV D2 silicone cases

Finally cracked open the Solub Arome mixes;

- Mother's Milk - Simply divine!! A lush strawberry/creamy flavour
- Gambit - Incredible and very complex flavour, I had a quick look at the real deal for this juice, and a lot of the flavours in the description for it are coming through
- Gorilla - Very creamy banana vape, tastes exactly like the little banana pick and mix things
- Suicide Bunny - WOW - a vanilla spongey/cakey type flavour, absolutely amazing

Very happy with the purchase and will be buying 100ml of mother's milk/suicide bunny concentrates. I've never tried the real deal for these flavours so cannot really compare, but all I do know is that these are amazing.

Trip Hammer - Fruit Pastilles

Awful. Like vaping old cough medicine. I know taste is subjective blah blah but the only decent thing he makes is fizzy trifle which is a triumph in it's complexity and taste notes. However fruit pastilles is horrid. Think this is one Alchemist I am going to place in my blocked category now as I've had other flavours from him which are artificial in taste.

Good to hear. I bought one for my first RDTA in ages. I got bored with the faff of coiling and have just been using premade coils in subtanks and the like for a year or so now. I just liked the looks of this and decided to give it a go.

@blackice8r
There just isn't a good reason to us a mech mod any more imo A good few reasons not too. I used to use mechs all the time when the standard coil was 2 ohms and 1 ohm was thought to be a low resistance. V/W devices just have added protection against running the battery too low or shorts and things.

I use Cotton Bacon (i use Muji as well) ,what i have found is that the cotton bacon allows a little more lee way in my wicking.
TFV4/Zephyrus are easy to wick & no leaking but i get dry hits above 40/45 watts , so have to wick lighter to allow more watts but then it can leak ,easier to achieve both with the cotton bacon. Can do the same with Muji but normally takes more faffing about.
I do find it slightly more difficult to actually work with but happy with the results.
Might be just me & how i wick.
Just checked mine is Version 2 (for what it's worth)

First impressions with the IPV D2 and Uwell crown.

Both built extremely well. Machining on the crown is top notch and the D2 feels like it can take a beating, heavy compared to the likes of the eleaf istick 40 TC but not too heavy. Again, that feeling that it will last.

Wicked it up with a .25 Titanium coil. Crown is easy to build on and wick. Just got to make sure you pack the juice wells. Top fill makes it easier and first build no leakage issues.

Currently vaping at 240C and 25 Joules. I'm enjoying it, drip tip was a bit wide for my liking but a narrower drip tip soon sorted that to my liking.

I do like the fact is has a built in 'no juice' function (it can tell whether or not the wick is saturated enough)

Now this is where I need some input; you hear the stories of Titanium burning too hot and it emits toxic fumes. Is 240C safe to vape at? Please share your titanium builds :)

EDIT: done some research.. apparently it doesn't decompose till over 1000F so I should be safe :)

Bugger, knocked over my Mod and cracked the glass on my Billow V2. Typical happens when I won't get a replacement glass till Monday :(

Look forward to hearing your thoughts on it once you have a build in it :)

Just so you know, I ordered my velocity decks on Monday and aren't hear yet, iirc the quote from hk post was 5-7 days so should see them next week.

never tried cotton bacon myself but muji works brilliant. I do however out of habit remove the thin bottom and top compressed layers and cut strips along the grain and not against it. I do get lots of excess waste but it's so cheap anyway. I find that this way I get the best wicking out of it. So fluffy and absorbent :D

What's everyone vaping tonight? I'm back on Bobas Bounty and my 50ml snake oil I ordered two weeks ago has around 10ml left. Can't believe I've vaped so much, it's this billow v2 it's a guzzler.

I cleaned everything properly, tried the 1 ohm coil (a few drops on the side holes where I could see the cotton, a few drops from the top), upside down for 5mins, and upright for 20mins
it crackles as much as the other coil, the entire thing gets very hot after 3-4 pulls, the vapor was so hot that it burned my lip
I'm leaving it upside down on towels to see if the tank is leaking

this is my first e-cig but I'm pretty sure this is not normal
