Hit the sweet spot with the aromamizer this morning, 7 wraps of 24awg, just under 3mm ID (bit measures around 2.8mm) 0.35ohm, slightly raised coils, very light muji wick, sitting at 55w, needs airflow wide open absolutely immense flavour and production, to the point it's making my mouth water. Going to have to get the 6ml ordered.

Is that with TI or Kanthal wire?
Hoping my Aromamizer arrives this morning with the 10am postie... fingers crossed, even brought in my building kit along with a few NI200 coils and my 24awwg TI wire and rayon...:D

Kanthal, I can manage kanthal easier on the 3 post layout then I can Ti.

It really is coming to life with a larger coil, worked it up to 68w now it's just getting nicer and nicer.

I have a slight problem with the Billow v2

High VG juices it has no wicking problems, but when it comes to Snake Oil from TMAX I get dry hits. No idea why. The cotton Muji isn't in tight, I've tried air holes fully open and on the lowest size to get a tighter draw and vacuum and after a few tokes it gets dry again.

Check the wicking to see if any of the wicks are to far down the juice channels.Usually you can get an idea how well the Billow V2 is wicking by how fast the air bubbles appear after a 3 or 4 second hit.
With the Billow V2 & my Zephyrus the tank actually has air bubbles rising whilst i,m still taking a long toot. This is with 80% + VG.
If it does not wick fast enough i reduce the amount of wicking a little @ a time until i get it just right, hopefully it does not flood when filling otherwise i start all over.

Hey guys, I now have a mad hatter dipper and I have used the coils it comes with. I need wire ND a ohms meter where is the best place I can get them as a dea if possible. I havnt tried coiling yet as I normal just buy them for my kangar sub tank.

Any tips would be great.

I've rewicked it a couple of times and ensure the cotton stays in it's well. It's impossible to screw the cap down if it touches the threads, unless you really yank and force it down, however if it takes that much effort to screw anything then something is wrong.

Funnily enough with high vg liquids I do get bubbles showing as I take drags, but with Snake Oil it happens not as often and I find I need to prime the coils to get decent flavour and no dry hits.

I think I will need to buy another tank for eliquids that aren't high in VG because for me the Billow V2 isn't coping. What shall I get does anyone have any recommendations, Ubertoot v2?

Also for those that use Ti wire, read mine and Rob's posts.

Drum, cheapest place for Ohms reader and wire will be Fasttech, but it comes from China so can take 2 weeks to arrive, uk sites will be quicker but cost more.
Check out Stealthvape, it does all wires and ohms readers and great service.

My Aromamizer arrived... fantastic, built two 24awg TI coils, together they came out at .12ohms, initial tests hitting at 50-55w, lots of flavour and vapour and rather warm... loving it so far though took off the vap band air control ring as I like it wide open and the band looks a bit naff lol

Guys,

This will seem like a cop out but I'm after advice and don't have time to read the entire thread.

My old man finds it's hard to stop smoking and is getting on in age! He's tried ecigs and the likes before but they've never stuck for one reason or another.

Can anybody recommend a good kit that I can put together for him as it's his birthday soon and if I am involved I feel he will be more inclined to take it seriously.

This is basically what I used when I started vaping after trying the poor e-cigs.

I used mint juice with 24mg Nic (been smoking for 30+ years) but the juice, it is down to personal preference and not something I would recommend as we all differ.

If anyone has the Smok TFV4 that has a knackered bottom o ring , the oring from the Subtank V1 fits perfectly.
had no reply from my emails to Smok and the only suppliers are in the States , so it was a bit pricey for an oring.
These are £1.69 delivered from ebay.

Cig-alikes are crap for anyone except the lightest of smokers, usually... as in those "social smokers" who only smoke a couple of Silk Cut Ultralites when out drinking.

http://www.theelectroniccigarette.co.uk/products/e-cigarette-kits/curveistick-series-products.html

I switched using the 20w Curve 2 (aka the eLeaf iStick) from the above ^ range and found a reasonable tobacco flavour liquid at 18mg.
You get a proper hit and decent amount of vapour without the plasticky taste or crap performance from the cig-alike.

You can usually adjust the airflow, voltage, strength and just about anything to get the experience close enough to smoking fags that the switch is an appealing one.
The hard part will be finding a tobacco liquid that tastes/feels like what he's used to. Some are great, some are crap, but it's very individually subjective.

26gauge Ti arrived so onto the TFV4 dual RBA base it went(did clean Ti before use).
6 or 7 wraps(spaced) on a 2.5 mm drill , cold ohms .167.
60 w , 80 watts preheat @ 450f.
Does not hit 450f unless i take a 4 second or longer hit.
Lovely thick vapour , just a hint of warmth if i close airflow slightly.
Must be good i have the backdoor wide open :)

been on ecig now 1 year. not wanted a normal cig since i started on the ecig.

i use kangertech dual coils. the ones that cost a £5 and the replacement coils are £2.25.

work for me 99% of the time although sometimes i get duff coils.

my local shop has just given me a free Aspire dual coil to try as they said I may get on with them even better. But at the moment, finding the mouth piece a bit larger than the kangertech. We shall see.

Certainly cheaper than normal smoking. down to 14mg flavours now as well. Although I was a menthol smoker, so still need the ice menthol in my ecig with a bit of flavouring added, as i need the throat hit more than the flavour.

if anyone has any thing to add, perhaps to possibly make me try on top of what i already do. i am only to pleased to give it a try.

I used to be a firm proponent of the narrow mouth piece, but since going to a larger bore drip tip I couldn't go back. Stick it out a while and see if it grows on you. What are you using to provide power by the way? Dual coils can really benefit from a higher voltage if you are looking for more of a powerful hit, so that might be an avenue to explore (maybe something like an e leaf I stick 30w mod). As long as the device you are using can supply enough power, the biggest change you can make is to your atomiser. I'm a huge fan of drippers, mainly because they are so cheap and reliable, although not everyone gets on with them. Might be worth picking one up and learning to make your own coils. It's a great way to save cash, and you don't have to worry about duff coils.

Vaping is cheaper than smoking, so I've always felt it's worth experimenting with new gear if it keeps you happy and away from cigs.

Stop UKDTweak, Mine ain't even shipped yet and now we have a chinese holiday for a wee k:(

I got mine within 24h, i paid £29 plus £4 delivery from Elegant Vapour... 6ml version that came with the Velocity deck installed and two vape/airflow bands, a 2 and a 4 hole version.
I LOVE this tank, it blows every other tank ive used out of the water, even the Crown i got the other day... but it too Drinks the juice fast.. glad i did not order the 3ml version, would empty it in 5 minutes...

Gf finds the aspire bottom dual coils vastly better than the kangertech ones. As for mouthpiece just buy a different smaller one. Hers is about two inches long and only a few mm wide.

Cracked the glass on my ehpro epoch d1 the other day, I promptly picked up a ud goblin as the stupid d1 does not have replacement glass tanks for sale any where and does not have a stainless section. In a pretty awesome fluke it turns out the goblin glass fits the D1 perfectly and also comes with a spare. Win win!

In answer to your question regarding what battery am i using.

just a normal pretty much standard one(s) from the ecig shop.
no power setting on it. just a long slim battery, bit longer than a AA battery.
just a button on it that glows blue when i press it.

£11.50 i think they are. so basic run of the mill ones.
