Just bought another 3 juices.
All vampire Vape stuff as it was 3x10ml for a tenner (is that good?)
I got:
Bat Juice (some quite strong fruity flavour)
Red Lips (cherry)
Watermelon

I emptied my tank and just filled with the Bat juice, first impressions are - it's ok but I'm sure it's still got a little of the tobacco flavour and also the blackjack so will have a better taste as those dilute a bit.

I am currently at
12.2w /4.8v with a 1.8ohm atty (although the mod is registering it as 1.9ohm), the nautilus mini on the 2nd to largest air hole.

Am I doing it wrong?
Also, on that subject....do you guys fire then inhale or start to inhale then fire.
I inhale a little before pressing fire to allow the juice into the atty.

Been using a Subtank mini for some time now and it's been fine. Leaks now and again but I tolerated it. I bought some new 1.2 coils (tried building my own but failed badly so stuck to off the shelf) the coils are the vertical coils and I've had problems with almost constant leaking. It's also made the smoke very harsh.

Ive had this tank for 5 months and in thought id give the new vertical coils a try.

I like the vapour they produce and smoother and less harsh than the old type and are better than the old ones but on my first one and its leaking like a sieve. I thought i had just got a dodgy one but looks like its going to be a big issue :(

I use to DIY juice. However I was never entirely pleased with the final flavour. I use to use capella but I use to find the flavour would just be mute after a few days (tried letting them steep before, and not steeping at all). I also changed between juices to make sure it wasn't my taste buds. I don't know why but my mixes never help the flavour. I even ramped up the % of concentrate.

Never tried it again after I went through a litre of VG and PG.

Where do people get their VG/PG from? Also is flavour art the new go to?

I have had a look on that facebook group too. Looks interesting.

Been buying juice from a local vendor recently and I forgot how expensive it is, £30 a week on 75ml of juice breaks my heart :(

So I have just place a order to make around a litre total of a froyo clone, some looper and a biscotti recipe, total about £45. Much happier :D and should cover a few flavor bases!

VG/PG look for 'Classikool' on ebay. It's about £8 for a litre bottle.

Nothing comes close to Flavour Art in my opinion, they're my go-to concentrates now. I've used loads from the likes of Capella, TFA and Inawera but for raw flavour, FA all day.

Funny, I've found it much harsher.

Only way I can use the tank with the V coils is if I don't actually pull on the thing. Just gently inhale. If I pull on the tank, it leaks badly.

I'm thinking the V coil lets more liquid in and if you're pulling harder than the coil can burn then unburnt liquid passes into the air vent thingy at the bottom. Only I have to run the thing on like 15W as any more it's just too harsh.

I run my subtank mini at 40 watts and i have noticed with the new vertical 0.05 i get a bit of coming out of the drip tip every so often, if im laying down and vaping it goes all over my lips and also all over my hands when i turn it upside down to refill, i think it's just condensation of the juice thats getting caught on the drip tip and in the shaft, it is most definitely annoying though, as for harshness, i've always found the subtank harsh for certain juices, but my ADV's are awesome in it.

Here you go chaps;

https://www.facebook.com/groups/1625313297718545/?fref=ts

This is how it works;
- Between the group and the admins, they take a DIY flavour mix they know to be good.
- The admins (shopowners themselves), buy an absolute heap of the concentrates required to make said mix, acting as a bit of a 'group buy' catalyst
- They then send out the concentrates to the people who have paid for them
- They are much cheaper than buying multiple amount of smaller quantities from even the cheapest online concentrate retailers
- Participants are happy as they are getting cheap concentrates, allowing to make large amount of the flavour at minimal cost
- The shop/admins are happy as they have also bought into the group buy, and sell their juice at retail value for those who don't mix out on the interwebs

win/win :D I'll ofcourse report back on the results of the transaction itself (I've paid, yet to take delivery), and the actual recipe itself.

Now, the only drawback of this is that I'm getting 50ml of each concentrate, but one of the flavours only needs 1%, but another one at 5%. The positive of this is that I'll have loads left over of the ones that need lower %'s, for other mixes.

Twirly, using 1ml syringes I have, there are 0.1ml increments, inbetween these are there are 0.01ml increments. Only cost a few pence, like heck would I pay 50 beans for a synringe :p

Aromamiser has arrived, fantastic build quality. Will give it a good clean tonight and start out with 2x vertical single wire coils to start out.

thanks for that, I've ordered some 500/0.01g scales. Should be plenty precise. I've also been looking at DIY magnetic mixers, looks simple enough to do :D None of that shaking by hand Josh :p

Where can I get some long Alexa Mixing Needles without having to buy 100 or organize a group buy. The long needles will be useful for getting in VG/PG and Nic bottles. They are about 4.5inches long. I know I should be looking for 14 Gauge, blunt but the ones on ebay are only 1.5" long.

Additionally for those who have tried various cotton wicks, does rayon or cotton bacon v2 in your honest opinion make a huge difference in flavour compared to muji?

Finally have my DNA200 back in one piece so tried the Crown SS coils in TC again.

Working absolutely spot on this time.

Still not happy with my mod. Just spent a couple of hours designing myself a 3D printed Enclosure

Reddit has been quite fruitful with information for my upcoming trip, Houston looks to have some excellent juice vendors, also found a vt200 for $159, roughly £100, shame I was after the vs200 :o:D

I've got cotton bacon, all be it v1, but find myself opting for Muji every build. A much better taste right off the bat in my opinion.

Good to know, off to Miami for a conference at the end of the month, need to be doing some research into some vaping wares!

First build in the aromamiser, dual vertical coil @.5 ohms, vaping at 37 watts.
I need to learn how to build this thing properly with kanthal. After 5/6 pulls its inkling for a dry hit.

Glad to hear you got the TC working on it...
Any pictures of the finished mod?

Did you split the tails coming out the bottom of the coils to cover the juice holes and cut the access coming out the top of the coils real short?

I have halfway done both, essentially coiled it the same as in my dropper with the same kind of build. Will have a play, thank you :-)

I cut the tops of the wicks just a mm or two above the coils and the tails i pulled out to sit over the edge of the deck and cut against the deck, so there was just enough that i could split in to two tails, then curled each half under the coils so each half covers a juice hole, coming in from the outside of the deck.

It worked as intended although messy. I was a bit heavy handed with the epoxy gluing the inner layer of acrylic in which meant it ended up on the clear piece that's no longer nice and crisp due to it needing wet flatting. The Micro USB cutout was about 0.25mm too small all round so I ended up filing it out, oh and I lost one of the O-rings on one of the smaller buttons so its not sitting quite as proud as the other.

This is my next move. Going for a self designed 3D print, getting printed by a fellow local vaper but here's a link on Shapeways

Need to sit down and work out a screen holder similar to Mamus that works with the stealth vape mounting kit next

I've just done my first dual vertical in the aromamizer, using 26awg twisted kanthal, almost screwed it up, went for 6/7 wraps, but it was too greedy, the leads started to buckle down, salvaged it though, came out at 0.15.

Wicking wise, very fortunately I recently invested in the grey haze tool kit (coil master V1 DIY), the thin angled tweezers bundled in were a life saver for pulling the cotton through and splitting it over the deck. Chugging away at 60w, airflow wide open, seems to be wicking fine :)

Also, I wouldn't say the vape is any better then horizontal coils, certainly denser, but not much in it tbh. I may rebuild and do a 4/5 wrap with some clapton and see what I end up with.

Thats not bad Froz for a first ever mod build m8 and the important thing is it works :)
But could you find a bigger box lol :P

The shapeways box looks interesting, though im guessing your left handed as the large curve on the battery door side looks wrong for a right hander like myself and you dont need a screen holder, i used a rubber drip tip, cut down to make an arch and used it as a compression piece to hold the screen tight to the case.

I suppose technically this is my second (more a revision of the first though). Bigger is better :D plus it means I don't forget where I've left it :p

Yea I am left handed, although it wouldnt be too difficult to flip the Battery door side to suit right handers.

Just realised I need to make a couple of small adjustments to to it as well. Having magnets on one side means there's nothing to hold the front end of the Battery door so will I need to add some go "latch" it in
