Damn Slinxy, i did not need to hear that about the D2... lol

My Efusion just arrived, smaller than i was expecting, very solid looking and feels good in the hand, just a little bigger than my 1550p Dual 18650 DNA200 :)

I will take a look at that EFusion, I've not been keeping up with the market as I've been chasing unicorns in the fields.. If it wasn't for the fact that I've spend a stupid amount on three mods last week, I would preorder the silver one to go with my black.

What's a d2?

r2d2 mod? Now that would be so cool :D

There's loads of R2D2 skins for mods you know? ;)

Flavour Art UK now have some new flavours in stock such as their reformulated DAP free Yoghurt, Pistachio etc.

Will be placing an order tonight! :)

Here's one to get you started :D

FA Yogurt (reformulated) - 2%
FA Strawberry - 3%
FA Vienna Cream - 1%

First one I want to try is a Lychee to see if I can get something close the what I'm vaping at the moment.

Not a huge fan of strawberry flavours, I find a lot of them tickle my throat

Got my ipv d2 today.

Can't get over how small it is! Looks great too... Very minimalistic.

Using a dual coil build at the moment in power mode.

I have some grade one ti as well both 24 and 26 awg.... Any tips for a dual coil build? Am i wanting the coils spaced?

Is this guide any good?

http://blog.craftvapery.com/joshs-definitive-guide-to-temperature-control-with-titanium-wire/

I would go with 2 strands of 26awg TI, twisted together to make one wire then cut in half and each half wrapped to make a spaced coil, about 4/5 wraps spaced x2, gives a great vape and should come out around 0.08-0.1 ohms :)

FA Lychee is nice although I find it quite perfumey.

CAP Sweet Lychee is my preferred 'go-to' Lychee flavour but give them both a try and see what you think.

Thanks bud...ill give that a go once I'm less of a noob :D

I think for now I'll try a dual coil build around a 3mm diameter using steam engine to work it out for me.

I'll try spaced first then contact...see how I get on :)

I haven't actually tried contact coils with Ti, should there be much different results over spaced?

I always thought the heat would 'jump' across the shortest possible route around the coil and if they were touching, would give an inaccurate temperature reading making the chip perform differently, anyone have any experience with this?

Ok first problem I had was I couldn't pre fire the coils in power mode on the d2 at 7w as the resistance was too low (around 0.14)

I did this in temp mode instead (set target of 400f) and the coils are kinda different shades of blue..I think that's OK as from what I've read the problems occur when the coil turns a powdery white.

My resistance is off now (was showing over 0.5 while firing) so leaving it to cool down before I set everything correctly in temp control mode then put atty back on and lock the res. I forgot to do this the first time.

Temp readings might be off with a closed coil but I'd imagine flavour and vapor production would be better due to surface area...

With TI coils you are far better off going with spaced so you dont have to dry fire and squeeze etc, not that you cant, but dont hit them hard enough to glow white...

Hey bud I did a dual coil build with 26 gauge ti came out at 0.12.

Vaping on the velocity rda at 400f at 20 joules.

Loving it so far :)

Will mess about with your earlier suggestions once I've gotten used to it. My first impressions with ti is that it's much easier to build with than 24 gauge kanthal...that stuff is unforgiving!

Dual 26awg TI coils go well in the Velocity deck, thats what i had at around 0.14ohms, like you, before i decided to give twisting a go... its so easy to do too, dont even need a drill.

Every coil I've ever built with Ti has been contact. I gently pulse at 7-10w to pinch them, just make sure they don't glow any more than a dull dark red. Turning blue is normal. If the go white/yellow then bin them.

Cotton burn test shoes it doesn't affect Temp readings.

Going to try twisting 24awg Kanthal with 26awg Titanium later

Yeah some people have better luck with contact than others do, it tried contact on both NI and TI coils but was never happy with how they vaped myself, but others love them.
I can twist and make two coils and build and wick them in 10 minutes now, and i twist by hand.. no drill. all you need is a pair of vice grips and stick really lol

So try both and go with what you find easiest and works best for you :)

I prefer spaced for Ti as getting a hot spot will seriously screw up TC , now for Kanthal definitely touching. The dual coil twisted TI build in TFV4 is still going strong after 2 weeks , a bit of a clean up tonight(tooth brush & a dip in the ultrasonic cleaner) rewicked & vaping along very nicely.
The Efusion does look very nice & i,m tempted but will wait for a while until things settle down with DNA 200 mods.
