What would be a good Ni200 build for TC on the Aromamizer?
I've only used Kanthal so far, got some Ni200 from FastTech today and want to try a build - first one came out as too low resistance apparently.
I've got 22g,24g, 26g and 30g wire
Nickel will be near impossible on the aromamizer, you'd need as many wraps of the thickest wire you could wedge in to the thing just to get a mod to read the resistance, a typical dual coil nickel build will knock you down around 0.02-0.03ohm, most mods will only read to 0.05-0.06 or if the mod is particularly crappy 0.1.
Do your self a favour and grab some grade 1 titanium, all round more pleasant wire for tc.
Or you could use thinner wire. If I build ni200 in tight spaces I run 28 or 30 awg as you get a much higher resistance for a smaller length of wire. With something thick like 24 awg you'd need 50+ wraps to get a dual coil 0.15 ohm build.
Thin wire is a pain to work with though which is why titanium is so much better. You can use a sensible gauge wire (26 or 24) without having to do 15+ wraps.
26awg Ti twisted with 24awg Kanthal is vaping beautifully in the crown RBA.
I've not got a pair of batteries with a decent charge in the so I'm getting weak battery messages but its taking 45w over a 2 second toot to hit 420F
Took a bit of trial and error on steam engine to get the right TCR for the DNA200. Cotton is still white on a dry burn test at 420F and starts to brown very slightly at 430F
Anyone tried the Nautilus?
Seemed highly recommended so bought one, but I'm getting no flavour at all from my juice.
I've left it for over 30 minutes to soak up some juice it makes no difference, I get more flavour from the cheapo Vapouriz sticks.
Bad coils? bad tank? I don't understand what I've done wrong, I've tried 3 coils so far.
Suggestions?
If your getting weak battery then im guessing battery sag is pulling your batteries voltage down to the DNA200 safe limit cut off of 3.09v, you can check it in Escribe Device Monitor, open it and let it settle to see what voltage the Pack and Cell 1&2 are at, then take a puff to see what they drop to..
Five Fabulous New Flavours!
We now have in stock three standard flavours, Condensed Milk, Peanut, Yoghurt, along with two blended flavours, BongoJuice and CustApple.
Condensed Milk and Yoghurt are currently very popular with DIY vapers, whilst Peanut remains a firm favourite and is allergen-free.
BongoJuice is a delightful combination of fruits with the end result reminiscent of the original and famous fruit juice in a carton.
CustApple is just what it implies, rich Custard poured over the sweet and crisp Apple Fuji for a mouth watering flavour.
Condensed Milk, Peanut, and Yoghurt have been reformulated as DAP free flavours; they do not use Diacetyl or Acetyl Propionyl.
The Yoghurt flavour does contain a small percentage of Acetoin in order to retain its flavour profile; Acetoin is not currently considered
potentially harmful but we advise againt using it at extreme temperatures.
Many thanks,
John.
Another one to join the growing club, the Armomamizer will def cheer you up once you get it running, not had a burnt hit using rayon and 220c on the DNA200 vaping a tank dry on both the crown and aromamizers, but then my coils are spaced so less risk of hot legs.
