Just checked and can only find two 18650 dna 200 mods available and still not convinced i need the power.

There's that triple 18650 DNA200, the Reuleaux by Jaybo Designs that looks quite nice. I wouldn't know what to do with it either, though, unless these things are purely for burning off 6ml of fluid in one ma-HOO-sive drag??

Until recently (and am still trying to pin down the whole Ohm's Law thing in terms of real world results) I always thought the big mods were all about longer battery life...

Absolutely, there are loads of different methods and a lot of it is just experimentation to find out what works for you. I had the dry hit problem a few times till I sussed it.

With a DNA200?

You can use just about any wire you fancy trying.

Availability on dual 18650 sucks. I don't need 200w, heck I dont even use the 133w that I've got available, but I love the feature set of the DNA200.

Shapeways need to hurry up with my order so I can get my compact DNA200 built.

I usually go for 3mm ID unless , the same with RTAs unless its something like a Goblin Mini that can't physically fit anything bigger

I dont undertand the poor charging times on the lip batteries?

I have lipo batteries for my quadcopter which are more than double the capacity of these mod ones and take only an hour charge?

Its poor becasue the DNA200 balance charger is only 1amp MAX, thats shared across all three cells in the pack... You probably use a proper hobby charger and charge at 2 or 3 amp per cell.

What model dual 18650 do you run? I have lots of 18650 batteries and a decent charger so dont really want to go lipo plus i have seen what happens when a lipo catches fire.

I built my DNA200 Dual 18650 myself due to lack of options, i bought two pairs of Efest 2800mAh 35amp cells from Torchy to power it.

There are a lot of DNA40 mods with replaceable 18650 cells, most are single battery though, for dual 18650 there is the Vaporflask, for single you have the Vaporshark RDNA, the Vaporshark Micro, then there is the Hcigar HB40 and VT40 and Many many more models from other makers such as the Hana, the Hana One (this has both single and Dual cell options in One mod.

1. When you press the fire button does the resistance fluctuate? (I assume it will show it on the display)
2.When you lock your resistance does it fluctuate when you press the fire button?
3. When you place a coil or new atomizer on your device does it ask if it is a new coil or same?
4. At what tolerance does your device not trigger the above event? i.e is it sensitive to resistance changes at 0.1ohm or 0.01ohm.
5. Assuming you followed the correct procedure to place the atomizer on the ecig when they are both normalized at room temp does your device after you have used it for a few minutes and pick it up to vape again ask if your you have placed a new coil? Does detect a change in resistance?

Depends on the device, all the Evolving chips, my 75w Sigeli requires you to manually lock the resistance

Sigeli is manually lock/new coil, DNA200 requires a 25% change in resistance

It shouldn't, assuming they we're both at room temp. I don't use resistance lock on the DNA200 as it "refines" the atty resistance for 1 hour after you last fired it

1. No*, DNA40 and DNA200 dont fluctuate when you hit the fire button, but YIHI and some other china temp control chips do as they display the Live ohms. The Evolv DNA chips always show the resting resistance.

2. No*.

3. The DNA40 will if the resistance has change too much, not sure how much exactly, sometimes i can take a tank off to fill it and it will ask, other times it wont, depends on how hot the tank is and how cold the room is to cool it while its off the mod.
The DNA200 is configurable, the default is 25% which ive left mine at and it works similar to the DNA40, maybe not as sensitive.

5. On both the DNA40 and 200, the resistance can change up or down .01ohms depending on if the ambient temp has raised or lowered, not an issue.
Neither chips have every asked if my coil is new or old unless ive removed it from the mod, on a Very few occasions its done in if ive removed the batteries to put in a fresh pair.
IF your mod does this often, you may have a bad contact or connection, make sure your 510 and threading is clean on both the mod and the atty, also ensure your coil leads are securely trapped in the atty.

* As stated in #5, sometimes you can see the resting resistance has changed by 0.01ohm, this is down to a change in ambient temp and normal.

Is there such a thing as a non-vapour cigarette that has a small amount of taste infused in it?

Reason I ask is because while watching tv or a movie I tend to find myself biting my finger nails or just want to eat something even though I am not hungry.

Thinking of trying licorice root sticks, but not sure if I will like the flavour. Then there is chewing gum, but ideally I want something like a vapour stick, but without the vapour. Anyone got any suggestions?

Use a basic carto tank (start kit tank) or even a gen 2 tank like a nautilus mini, with high or 100% PG juice, after you inhale, hold it in for a second or two longer than normal then exhale, you will get very limited vapor doing that but still get the flavour from your juice ...
