Fluid in the chimney is typical of spit back, this can be a result of flooding or not enough power being used to burn off the juice being used.

Hmm... Interesting...
With my tanks thus far, I've only found flooding/chimney juice from drawing way too hard and dragging it into the atty, or from not drawing fast enough to keep up with the higher power settings...

I could try turning it up to 30w and seeing how that goes?

I've put four tankfuls through, so the atty should be broken in enough. Seen reviewers take it to 40w, so that could be an option.... Gonna KILL my fluid budget at this rate!

My favourite ADV is a mixture of coconut, vannila and a little fruit salad to sweeten it, i can vape it till the cows come home.
Is this your own mix, or a shop-bought one? It sounds awesome!

Not pulling or over pulling can be a cause, but i had a m8 that ran his Triton at 60w on the .3 coils... so more POWAAAR!!

My ADV is made from three different juices that i buy from my local B&M.
The best mix ive had so far was 50ml of Coconut, 40ml of Vanilla and 20ml of Fruit Salad, all poured into a big bottle and shaken for a minute or two, then left to sit with the lid off for an hour... yummy.
If you want a deeper flavour you can do a similar mix but replace the vanilla with English Toffee.

Tim Hodge! He's local to me, have tried his juices before it 'got big' and sold onto the likes of Paul Shirley etc.
They've really done well with the brand, and their CS is very good.
Would love to try Tim's own juice again (that sounds so wrong).

Prices are very reasonable and his whole ethos is great. Posting what he's said on Facebook

I'm not trying to become rich or famous, I have enough customers to keep me ticking over, I'm not trying to get more customers, if I get more that's cool, and my moto has always been, to supply people with high end quality high flavour liquids at rock bottom prices, the reason I started mixing was, I got so feed up of spending 1000's of pounds on "so called high end liquids" that were no better than hangsen ( no offence hangsen)

I know a lot of vendors will push the liquids on you, i never have and never will, it's just not my style, i let the juice speak for it self, there's enough of this bull****e on fbook, that's why I've left pretty much every vape group going.

I did ask him if he carried out tests for diacetyl and acetyl propionyl content. To which he replied:

I haven't, but been told by supplier that is all free from it, mainly use jv247 and have every trust in Michelle. I also only use well known brands

Similar ethos to one of the local juice makers. Think he's £26 posted for 100ml

Aromamizer has been distpatched and my DNA200 enclosure is in production :D

URRRRGGGGHHHHHH.... Sorry, just had a BAD dry hit!!:(
Just blazed through the full 3.5ml playing around between 35 and 50w...

Unfortunately, that didn't cure it - I still have fluid flecks spitting up the chimney and gathering in the space between the removable drip-tip and the removable airflow collar (the bit with the 'cooling fins')...
I've tried slow, gentle dragging, average, reasonable, deep, heavy and hard (fnar fnar), but results are all the same.

I'm currently reaming the chimney with a Q-tip so much, you'd think I had a musket!!

I would not worry too much about juice under the drip tip, this is fairly normal from sub ohms tanks... it just goes with the territory.
As long as its not hitting you inside your mouth....

Got my Aromanizer today, what sort of build do we recommend? :)

My prefered build has been dual twisted Titanium coils, horizontal, using 26awg Grade 1 TI with Rayon. Spaced and about 4/5 wraps, comes in around .09ohms :)

Same as that for me with titanium.

With Kanthal I'm running dual 3mm 26awg 7 wraps vertical coils. Comes in at 0.5 ohms.

That's the thing, and how I know it's spitting - I am getting a few warm flecks coming out the drip tip and onto my tongue.
It's not as much as the Subtank Mini and not wholly unpleasant either, but perhaps indicative of a problem?

I've had to dial it back down to about 20w to calm things a bit, so will work out how much higher towards the 25-30w I can go before it starts up again.

On a side note, at 50w it was VERY warm, but the top airflow vent does a nice job of cooling it down again!

What VG/PG ratio are you running? I find with very thin liquids (high PG) the Triton floods and spits a bit. With VG heavy liquids it doesn't do it.

A heads up, fasttech now have the sxk nebula zero 60w clone listed for around £30, looks a nicely made mod, also supports TCR :)

Might get one ordered :)

Not sure of the accuracy of this, but I read that higher PG liquids spit because PG has a lower boiling point than VG, so the expansion of PG boiling inside in a wet wick or coil can cause drops of hot VG to spit out. Solution to this would be the give the bottle a good shake before filling a tank, or use higher VG liquids.

Seems to make sense to me, and I've actually found ~65-70/35-30 VG/PG as the perfect ratio for flavour, because there is a very slight spitting, not enough to burn my tongue, but enough for tiny droplets of flavour to leave the drip tip, I can't help licking my lips every toke!

Well I bought the Kanger subtank mini and put some very dark and well steeped (like 18 months old) chefs vapour spotted dick in it. Works well, just trying one of the 1.2 ohm coils (although my mod says it's 1.4) at 16w.

Ok I need some help. I have got a Lemo 2 tank and I used to the pre made coil and wick and at the time was really happy. It was vaping great tastes and fairly big clouds. Move on to making my own coils... Can get the coils good with a basic tool but my wicking skills are useless and I am finding the wick is burning out really quick compared to the pre made that came with it. Now I have watched videos but still can not get it right, are there any timps people have for single coil tanks like the Lemo that I could try?

Yep, if you're getting dry hits it's likely you have too much wick. You want it so that when folded down, it only barely touches the bottom of the deck. Think about it this way, the juice seems to flow in through one juice channel and the air comes out of the other. If the wick is touching that channel, it can only absorb in one patch of the cotton. If the wick is slightly above that, the juice can flow in and form a layer underneath all of the wick, where it can be absorbed in all areas. Another method is the pancake, where you fluff the cotton out so the wick looks like a tie fighter, so the juice fills up the side and is absorbed in all areas. You want it so the top of one of the 'wings' of the tie fighter just overlaps so you can't see the juice channel.

If you look down the cylinder and can see the juice channel, it'll likely leak, simply because the juice can rise up above the wick and down through the airflow.

I've also found, if you're tucking the wick down, try cutting it at a 45 degree angle from the base of the build deck, up and out over the juice channels. This means when you fold it down, all the strands of cotton reach the bottom evenly.

I'm currently having a bit of leaking if my tank isn't perfectly upright, underwicked when trying to get it just right to accomodate high VG juice (and likely only just started happening because I've switched from max VG to 1:2 PG/VG as mentioned a couple posts up), so I'm going to rewick when I finish this tank, will get some pictures to show you what I mean.

If you are using Rayon, make sure the wick is tight in the coils.
There are different methods, some work well for some and not for others.
I go with cutting so the wick just touches the deck, but then use a small object to poke into the tails till you feel it hit the juice well hole, then push the cotton back to the deck so you can see the juice hole is clear of wick, i also trim the tails a little so there is less cotton in them, this helps the juice flow fast from the tails to the coil.
