Will likely pick a DNA200 mod up in Miami next week.

Decisions decisions, would love a Lipo but am concerned about their battery life (I'm yet to research this!).

Typically running a .2-.25 coil on the aromamiser at about 3.7 volts, so about 55 - 70ish watts and would love for it to last atleast the whole day between 9 > 6.

If you are using Rayon, make sure the wick is tight in the coils.
There are different methods, some work well for some and not for others.
I go with cutting so the wick just touches the deck, but then use a small object to poke into the tails till you feel it hit the juice well hole, then push the cotton back to the deck so you can see the juice hole is clear of wick, i also trim the tails a little so there is less cotton in them, this helps the juice flow fast from the tails to the coil.

Absolutely, there are loads of different methods and a lot of it is just experimentation to find out what works for you. I had the dry hit problem a few times till I sussed it.

Here we are, I just redid mine, went for a half scottish roll half pancake method:

Took the cotton out and gave it a glowin' to get rid of any excess cotton and juice. Looking a little rusty actually, likely just congealed raspberry :D

I'm using Kanthal claptoned, 0.2mm (32AWG) around 0.5mm (24 AWG). 3.5mm ID, so I'm going to use about a thumb of cotton. Excuse my tiny girly thumbs:

All teased apart to be rolled - forgot to mention, take the two 'waxy' outer layers off the cotton, I find the fluffier inner part wicks better:

Rolled and threaded through, perfect fit!

First trimming, the edge of the base is a good place to start:

Fluffed out a bit, doesn't work as well with the scottish roll, but if you just keep fluffing it eventually comes apart:

Shakycam here, I trimmed a little more off the bottom of the wick to avoid blocking the juice channels:

Juiced and tie-fighter'd :D

Twisting the barrel on causes the cotton to move a bit:

So jam something in there (I use my graduated steel coil winding rod, nice little tool), tease it back and forth a little bit so the cotton is even along the juice well, I push the cotton in towards the coil where the juice well is, then poke the top and sides a bit to make sure the well is covered. I've found as long there are no direct air pathways between that juice well and your airflow, you won't get a leak.

Voila, chain vaping a charm, and no leakage! 'Twas a bit of a shoddy job, not my neatest, and I probably put the maximum amount of wick I personally could in there, slightly more could have been dry hit city, but it's coping with 70% VG no probs. Hope this helps!

Edit: On the subject of DNA200's, I've got a Hotcig DX200 that should be arriving any day now, just taking it's sweet time in UK customs. Thanks for the tipoff about the batteries (think it was you UKDT?), ordered one of those too. Kinda wishing I'd held off for the wismec, if their presa has been anything to go by it'll be a solid build, you can see how battered mine is in those pictures, but what the heck, I'm excited!

It just so happens that i have two DNA200 Lipo mods, a 900mAh and a 1300mAh version and have been testing both with the same tank running at 55w, with 80w pre heat for 1 second... dual twisted TI coils coming in at 0.09ohms,

The 900mAh lasted for 180 puffs
The 1300 mAh lasted 320 puffs

Average puffs was between 2 and 3 seconds.

I used both mods from first thing in the morning @7am till i got a weak battery message, the 900mAh lasted till the evening around 5pm.. just, the 1300mAh lasted all day and a bit into the second day.

By comparison, my Dual 18650 DNA200 using 2 Efest 2800 35amp cells lasted 400 puffs, so the Wismec Triple 18650 would be even better again.

A heads up, fasttech now have the sxk nebula zero 60w clone listed for around £30, looks a nicely made mod, also supports TCR :)

Might get one ordered :)

I have a Zero mod afaik it has the sxk/infinite chip in it, same as the Geeco version.
Been working perfectly for me, really nice build quality, my one is the older version though, have had it since May

Theres a US site with a price up for the Wismec Reuleaux DNA200, Triple 18650... $169... Bargain compared to the Lipo models...

Joytech UK replied to me, nothing confirmed unfortunately.

Good afternoon :) any of our new products will be announced on social media :) until then we cant confirm - Tom

The only thing that this has going against it from what I can see is that it appears to be plastic 3D printed case, but as long as it is rigid with no flex then I do not mind as it will be heavy enough with 3X18650's. The price is very reasonable and being the first commercial 18650 DNA 200 (nevermind triple 18650) it will sell like hotcakes.

Yeah even if it is 3D printed (i think its moulded though), it is far better looking finish than the normal shapeways stuff like the vimeo, so i dont think id mind so much, i tend to look after my mods so not too worried about it.

Fantastic. Will look to getting a 1300 mAh lipo in which case.

Any particular models you'd favour, which one is it you have?

The 3 I've got an eye on are;

Lost Vape efusion
VTBox 200
Hcigar VT200

Would put a VS in that list, but it has the smaller lipo :-(

All look well fit!

It seems that all new versions of the Hcigar VT200 are now shipping with a stainless steel 510. Looks like they took on board the comments about the brass connector.

I have the Hotcig DX200 which is the 900mAh, and the EFusion which is 1300mAh.
The Efusion is the only mass produced DNA200 with a big Lipo battery (at the moment) and is one of the best looking, it feels good in the hand but light, nice buttons and the battery does last a while... Cost £120.

Before you go jumping at the Efusion though... the 1300mAh battery take Hours to charge!!!

The Hotcig on the other hand has a cell that is swappable and FT sell the spare cells, so for £100 you can get the Hotcig and an extra cell giving you 1800 mAh. Each cell take just over an hour to recgharge.

I will be selling my Efusion and have ordered a spare cell for the Hotcig which will be my back/home device and the Dual 18650 will remain my daily driver until i can get the Wismec Triple 18650... Lipo's Suck and the bigger they get.... the more they suck!

As for the others in your list:

VTBox 200: Claims to be an 1800mAh cell, but tests in the wild have shown its not even close, Do Not Buy, bad build practices and lying about the Cell inside are not a good mixture!

Hcigar VT200: Claims to be a 1300mAh cell but tests in the wild show around 1100mAh

Thanks Tweak, that's a huge help.

Will see what the Miami vape shops have the offer next week, if there's nothing there then I'll make a decision back in the UK the week after.

No Aromamizer for me today :( got the dispatch email yesterday but the tracking shows it as being posted this morning.

I did however get my juice order from Vapeclub. Been a while since I've bought any juice so treated myself to the following

The Swartz Upside
The Shwartz Downside
Bord02 7eme Ciel
Bord02 Puff Daddy Vape

I've gone back to a titanium build in my Aromamizer.
2 strands 26 awg twisted. Dual 2.5mm horizontal spaced coils, 5 wraps each for 0.07 ohms. Rayon wick.
Vaping like a champ at 230C 50J.

I dont undertand the poor charging times on the lip batteries?

I have lipo batteries for my quadcopter which are more than double the capacity of these mod ones and take only an hour charge?

What model dual 18650 do you run? I have lots of 18650 batteries and a decent charger so dont really want to go lipo plus i have seen what happens when a lipo catches fire.:(

We're limited to a 1amp charge limit by the DNA200 board, the Vaporshark has an additional charge board that will charge at 2amp

Me and UKDtweak are both running self built dual 18650 DNA200s

BordO2 juice is nasty, what a waste of £26

Just checked and can only find two 18650 dna 200 mods available and still not convinced i need the power.

So guys are there any decent dna 40 mods with have replacable 18650 batteries ( I know the vapourshark is hard fixed :()

Just bought another SX-Mini M-Class 2nd hand. The new FW has made it all the mod I need so decided to hold off on a DNA200 until it's been out a while longer.

I've got an Hcigar VT40 and it's been a great mod. Nice in the hand and looks great.
