Nice work Froz and thanks for sharing, but il be honest, im too lazy to run the tests as they take a while and i just use the curve built into escribe and not had any issue with it to be honest, i have the soft cell cut off set to 3.2v and by the time i get a weak battery message the meter is empty... i havent bothered with any of the tests for batteries or case or mod resistance and it all just works fine at default, all ive done is run the WH calc to put in the mAh and nominal voltage and job done lol
 
After trying several builds, last one being dual claptons after some attempts at dual twisted 26ga Ti in the Aromamizer I'm still getting better taste out of single 24g Ti build in the crown!

Curiosity has got me wondering which are the best under our usage for battery life.

Manufactures capacity ratings are a bit irrelevant to use a they conduct the tests with a 1A load when in reality we're generally using them from 5-20A.

I just need to get some 30Q to try and maybe some VTC4s. I'm also doing the tests as a favour to my B&M to help them understand what they sell better.

They've got HB2s on order on my recommendation for selling to Mech users

As long as the listing on Fasttech says Authentic then they should be Genuine, i got a pack last month and gave them to a m8 for his TFV4 and hes had no issue as yet.

Try twisted 26g titanium with vertical coils, should come out somewhere in the 0.07 range, throw lots of power at it and get the temp up towards 500f ;)
 
If you like the crown with a single coil... try a single twisted 26awg TI coil in it and around 40-50w@220c... taste for days and clouds to match, about 3/4 wraps on A 2.5ml bit, comes out around .13ohms. :)

As for the Aromamizer, i prefer horizontal to vertical, vertical just seams to kill the flavour for me and my mate at work, i just do 4/5 wraps of twisted 26awg x 2 around a 2.5ml bit, comes out around .08ohms, hitting them with 70w pre heat and 55w normal and 220c... loving them, but not as good as the above crown build.

I keep seeing the crown brought up, think I'll have to treat my self.

A side question, is it possible to set the DNA 200 up to display battery remaining as a percentage? I find the traditional gauge hard to work out, it shows percentage when I stick it on charge. Like yesterday I thought it was nearly dead, plugged it in, 30% remaining. The cells are balanced and set up correctly in escribe it's just my perception of near empty that's off, a clear number would help lots :)

in Escribe, under the Screen tab, you can set what is shown on the screen via drop downs, one of them is battery % :)
You will still have the meter though.
Do you have the correct W/H settings? the defaults maybe well off..

The Crown gives great flavour, the SS coil head is very good, but the RBA, though tiny and a pain to wick perfectly, works great and with a twisted 26awg TI coil... its great. The top fill is easy to use, but if your RBA wicking is not right, it will leak when you open the top fill.....

As UKTweak says you can change under Screen tab , i change the default voltage to battery %.
Also i change the defaults in the charging tab to read each individual cell voltage , not really needed if charging batteries externally.

Got it cheers, still much to learn about escribe! Yeah the WH setting is correct at 10WH (900mah 11.1v) its just how I perceive the status bar is all.

I'll get a crown ordered tomorrow, anywhere selling the tank+RBA deck as a bundle?

If your mod is a 900mAh then the W/H should be 9.99 not 10.

Having massive trouble with the Smok RCA its tasting awful and making me feel sick, massive dry burnt taste and a very strange plastic/metal taste. First time so be easy, does this look bad?

Just charged the 3 x HE4's i used in my Rueleaux & they took :-
Battery 1 2284 Mah
Battery 2 2308 Mah
Battery 3 2295 Mah
So under the quoted 2500 Mah but probably due to the ampage i was using & i do not know what the cutoff volts was for the original testing to get 2500 Mah.
Not important but interesting.
 
With the single RBA deck on TFV4 i had best success with 2.0mm or 2.5 mm inner dia coils , to much wick caused the problems you describe.Very fine balancing act between getting enough wick to stop leaking & not to much to cause choking.
 
That coil looks too big and might have a hot wire as the coils are not evenly spaced, keep the inside dia to 3mm MAX, as said already.. 2.5 is about spot on, though ill add... the Dual coil RBA is FAR better than the single..
