SO i was at the hospital today for my CT scan and thus had to take out my mods and put them on my jacket on the end of the bed... come time to leave and i forgot they were there, to my horror my Wismec fell about 3ft to the concrete floor, the back door flew off and the top battery fell out....
Naturally i panicked and picked up the mod and door and battery and put them back together and hit the fire button praying it was working and thankfully it is, but on further inspection... i cant find a single scratch or mark on the mod, not one...

Then i had the fun of trying to explain to the nurse what i was holding lol

Vapefest in dublin tomorrow, cant wait, going with the few friends from my local B&M, been charging batteries and building fresh coils in my Aromamizers in preparation for the day, will leaving here at 7am as its a good 2h drive at least, vapefest starts at 10am and runs till 7pm, hopefully be a good day and maybe get some freebies or bargains.

GrimmGreen and Todd and the Vaping Biker will be there as well as Pip (i think from Suicide Bunny).

I really should look into going to one of these vape expo's, the main on in Houston finished the day we landed

Whats being used at the moment, apologies for crappy quality, my phone camera is completely ruined.

Quad 26g strand Ti, 2.5mm, 4 wrap spaced dual vertical coil on the aromamizer V-Deck. An absolute monster of a build.

While uploading that I found a picture of my OBS Crius on a silver/white skin D2 as well

Pick up the Uwell crown as well as my DIY liquid supplies tomorrow

Came home to an order from ChefsVapour today so I've just mixed 150ml more juice

50ml Chefs Jungle Juice
50ml VHB One Shot Looper
50ml VHB One Shot Blue Custard

Bought some of their premix Nic to try as well

Thats some coil, whats it ohm at out and what powers it taking?

Ive almost finished my 5m real of 26awg TI from building so many twisted coils lol... hope i can get some at the vapefest tomorrow..

It settled down at 0.04, I've currently got it at 450f 80w w/95w preheat, though earlier in the day it was melting my face at 500f/120w

Its a lung filler thats for sure.

I could do with some more Ti my self, those two coils in that build used somewhere just over a meter between them. Did the dual wrap in the drill jig, the threw the dual wrap coil back into the jig to twist it again giving the 4 strand wrap.

Think stainless is going to be next on the menu though

Good luck Pokerking, the dual RBA is great and easier to wick than the single RBA deck and the tank performs much better with a dual coil/higher power coil setup.

Yeah im thinking of going SS next, but so many versions... hard to decide which would be best.

All I can say is WOW this RBA is amazing. Perfect build and its vapes amazing!!!! The coil is showing 0.3ohms and im at 30w.

Compared to the single coil deck this one is 100% better

The difference is night and day, the TFV4 tanks is just too big for a single coil, it needs more in order to take the power to fill the chamber otherwise you get no flavour, the Dual RBA allows this nicely

Just stuck a dual 24awg, 304 stainless steel build in the Velocity. 7 wraps over 3mm coming in at 0.2 ohms. Rocking 100W with a 200W pre-heat and punch 4 on the Reuleaux and oh wow, it's kicking.

304ss was what i was thinking of going with after using the Crown coils, it took the power really well, though at 100w your battery life is going to suffer badly lol
The one thing that temps me to SS is the flavour, NI200 gives me a horrible chemical taste if i push too hard, Titanuim tastes a bit odd on fresh coils for at least a dozen puffs till it settles and then its grand, Stainless Steel seems clean from the start...

Are your coils spaced or contact Rilot?

There seems to be lots of different grade ss wires, which is the best?

403, 316l, 317l, 304 etc

It would be good if any of the wires are resistant to charing, i.e not developing a layer of crud after several tanks of eliquid has been vapourized. maybe that will be next breakthrough with ecigs as I hate making and changing coils. Well not hate but it's a bit of a faff.

Ouch! Glad it's ok and didn't take any damage! Enjoy the vapefest.

30w. Hmm sounds like it'll be perfect for my mod as it only goes to 50w. I've just seen the dual coil on FT for $6.66. Someone on FT said about the single coil RBA "You can put dual coil in this, just wrap them together. Kanthal of course. I did 8 wraps of 28 AWG, dual coil for 1 ohm."

Having never built a dual coil though I don't know how that would look. But I'll jut get the dual coil.

Merlin, what that guy is talking about is a Parallel coil, similar effect to using twisted wire in that its double the wire so lower ohms, but a parallel coil will take up more room width wise.
To wrap in parallel, you take two pieces of wire, hold them side by side and wrap them so that you end up with it looking like one single coil, but is actually two tightly wrapped side by side, every other turn will be from one coil and the turns in between are the other coil...
I tried a single twisted coil in the single RBA... bit better than a single wire coil but still not as good as Dual twisted coils in the dual deck and wicking is much easier in the dual deck too.
