how do you run the battery analyzer?

I've seen people build all sort of contraptions and it looks complicated with resistor packs on a thick heatsink. However I have seen some people use thick kanthal on their atomizers. Do you just create one big loop as if you were building a coil and connect one end to the +ve post and the other to the -ve?

Two 6 inch loops of 20awg Kanthal in a big loop on an RDA. I might make up a pack of 4x100w resistors at some point but I'm not sure it's necessary anymore as I've got the discharge curves for all the batteries im likely to use

Thanks will have a crack at it tomorrow. p.s did you use the settings file from Wismec for yours or have you stuck with your own calibrated settings?

I have stuck with my own as they aren't that much different compared to theirs.

What coil build and setting are you using?

On mine I have 255c 50Watt, 100Watt Preheat, 0.11 ohm dual coil build on the crius. 5 spaced wraps Ti around a 2.5mm bit iirc

Not holding of for v3.1? :p

I did not use Wismec's settings as i had already run the case analyzer and the battery curve they have is for the VTC4 cells and i have bigger Efests in, i did however use the Mod resistance 0.003.

I currently have a dual coil setup @0.2ohms in my Aromamizer on the Wismec, used 25awg 317l SS, running at 70w pre heat, punch at 6.5 and normal watts set to 55w and 190c which its not even hitting temp limit and the juice is The Beard No64.

My Crius is on the DX200 and it is the same build but reading at 0.23ohms, running at 65w pre heat, 6.5 punch and 45w normal and 170C temp limit with Wick Liqueur: Deja Voodoo juice, the flavour gets funny over 170c so keeping it lower makes it smoother.

Damn. Thought I might get away with it not happening, but the iStick 50w has now begun sticking/auto-firing.

What's a good choice nowadays for a 50w+ box mod that takes 2x 18650 batteries while remaining relatively compact (about iStick 50 size/mini box mod)?

Sadly there is not much that fits your exact spec, most 75w and under mods are single 18650 and there are few as small as the Istick 50w.
If you dont mind another sealed box then there is the Evic VT.
If you are prepared to go to a higher end but drop to 40w then there is the Lost Vape ESquared, it is Dual 18650 and uses the DNA40 chip.

Hmm. Think I might be stuck with single 18650. ~40w really is the minimum to get my coils to ramp up right now.

Think I'll grab either the iStick 60w or the Koopor Mini. Any suggestions on those two (or similar)? Guess I'll just go back to the days of switching batteries. :D

Forget the Koopor Mini completely, its terrible battery life and No USB charging.
The Istick 60w has not had great reviews, id suggest an Evic VTC Mini, seams a good little mod and has the power you want, or the Kanger Subox if you dont want TC.
OR there is the IPV D2 and now D3.

<75W is a terrible segment of the market for devices that take a pair of 18650s.

The Sigelei 75w is a pretty good device but battery life was awful. I used to go through 4-6 batteries a day with one

LOL, glad to finally have your Reauleux hey...

Remember to run the W/H Calc and set to the mAh of one of your cells and leave the nominal voltage to 11.1...
I recommend you go through Each of the 8 profiles and lower the Pre Heat from 200W, unless you vape at 100W Plus normally, its way too high.

Then just enjoy a vape on it :)

The Koopor Mini is not the best. yes it is a bit meh with batteries but I do use LG HG2's and one will last me a day at work and most of the evening. The USB charging is annoying or lack of should I say and the software updates are beyond acceptable, needing to go to a retailer with the USB device and have them update / tweak.

I am on the same band wagon wanting a 75W smallish device with decent battery usage.

what about the istick 100w, it is the only other device i can think of that reaches the wattage you want with 2 18650's, no idea what it is like mind you.

Smy170 tc maybe? It's istick shaped (curved both ends) and not overly massive for a dual 18650 mod...or wait for the efusion DNA133...

The wismec can't be that much bigger then a 50w istick surely?

I wouldn't say there is much of a size difference, bit of a price difference though

I got an email saying there's free delivery this weekend from The Vape Mesh co until midnight sunday.

"Free UK 1st Class Delivery This Weekend

This will be for a 1st class service with the Royal Mail. Orders over £30 will automatically be upgraded to FREE recorded delivery too."

So I've put 10m of 24AWG and 10m of 26AWG kanthal A1 in the basket. They're giving away a free 10m spool with every order which is nice, but I'm not sure what to request. They're offering Kanthal A1, Nickel Chrome or NI200, and only between 35 AWG and 31 AWG. I've already got 20m of 32AWG kanthal that I've never used much of because it's so thin. What do you guys recommend? None of those gauges really interest me, however, I've never used NI200 or nickel chrome.

Really low gauge Kanthal is handy if you want to wrap your own claptons

Speaking of which I cheated and bought some "Alien Claptons" the other day, just stuck some in the Aromamizer, jesus christ its good. Seems strange not using TC though

I was thinking that yeah, if I can ever be bothered to find my old black and decker drill. :D But what about nickel chrome or NI200, does flavour change much with those materials?

The Samsung 30Q's have a nominal voltage of 3.6V * 3 = 10.8 so do you override that with 11.1?
