Thanks Tommy, I will be doing some research on what guage wire/wicking material to use and how to build coils before having a go at the RBA base. I just want better flavour and less of a dry hit that I am getting with the protank 2.

Let my 6mg juice get to a dangerously low level , ordered 6 bottles from dripdrop but they will need a few weeks steeping.
So had to dig out the Kayfun 4 for my 24mg juice collection.
After a few months sub ohming it makes a change running 10w at 1.1ohm and taking mouth to lung hits.
Compared to the 105w at 0.15ohm on my TFV4.

Me too. No idea how, but I went ahead a bought a couple of bottles that arrived this morning. That was SUPER fast shipping for free.
They smell pretty good, too. Working my way through my current tank before I give 'em a blast.
Just made my second batch of Liquid thanks guys awesome flavour and vape. No hint of nasty perfume smell and very good. Happy days

Thats a shame, how about if you used a piece of muji to make one wrap around each coil, then pack rayon between the coils in between the posts?

Might be a stupid question - I was checking a battery I received which I suspected to be counterfeit (LG HE4), I'm 99% sure it is (unwrapped, and there's no markings at all, plus the positive part seems to have some differences)
Is there any way to identify what kind of cell it actually is, absent of any markings?

So, new toys from China today.
A couple of Melo 2s. I like these. With the Triton coils in them they rock in TC mode and are so much easier to fill than the Triton or Triton 2. Look better IMO too.
Also got a Haze tank and an Obs Crius. I'm liking the Crius with the Velocity deck. Much better built than the Cthulhu v2. I've not built the Haze yet but it looks really interesting. Going to go with dual, vertical coils.

Without markings its almost impossible without trawling the net for pictures of unwrapped cells to compare and even thats not scientific...
My bad news of the day, my nice Black OBS Crius V2... is stuffed, i cleaned it out the other night and re coiled and re wicked, so i could change to another juice and now it leaks between the airflow ring and juice control and none of my devices will fire it in TC.. ive stripped it down and re cleaned it, tried SS and TI coils on four different mods, on one or two occasion it did fire briefly in TC but then jumped back to power mode...
Uwell crown or Smok TFV4? Has anyone got experience of them both? Which do you prefer?
Smok XCube2; do these live upto the hype? It looks too big, but I suppose anything with 2x 18650 cells is going to be fairly large.

Just made Watermelon and Skittles yesterday and there perfect too, all at 9%.
I couldn't be happier, just ordered 10 more concentrates from Vapable and will get some more from Vamp Vape this week.
It definitely was the Concentrate strength I simply used too much. 9% for Vapable seems spot on.
Got nearly 400ml of liquid now LOL I'm getting a bit carried away
The last month has been a big one for me, using an RBA and now DIY juice. PERFECT not having to worry about running out of juice and burnt coils.
Guess it wont last when all the law changes in 2016.
Both tanks are good, the Crown is better on flavour without using silly power and when it comes to using the optional RBA, the crown again wins on flavour, but both tanks can leak using the RBA's if not wicked right, i have and use both, if you are going to go with the RBA then get the Dual coil deck for the Smok, the single is naff.
As for the XCube II, i dont have one but ive a few friends that do, they love them, i personally think its a bit of a shoddy bit of kit, the battery door is terrible and the UI is horrible but it does work and it does perform. Much easier to setup with the Bluetooth app on your phone.
As for its size, there is no reason for it bar lazy design and easy to build for the makers as it is mass produced, ive built a Dual 18650 DNA40 and DNA200, both near half the size of the XCube II.

Ive got the Smok 2 with an TFV4 Mini and IMO an excellent combination. The Cube 2 is big but does its job perfectly. The Bluetooth stuff gets borning after a while and kinda useless but it has not missed a beat and rock solid build wise. Its very heavy though so not an ideal travel device far to big to fit in jean pockets etc. TC mode is very impressive and worked excellent with an Gimlet CTC tank with Ni200 coils.
The TFV4 Mini is a beast though. I am using the TF-S6 Coils aswell as the Dual Coil RBA and it DRINKS juice for fun, hence me taking up DIY my own!! It need a 10ml tank LOL be prepared to go through a lot of juice. You get massive flavour and vapor, I started with a little ego which loads of people still use and when I use mine I get funny looks, they think I'm using a fog machine!!!!!
Brilliant combo and buy far best the non dripper tank I have used. I think the Crown gets good reviews two, I believe these two are at very hard to beat and would love to try a Crown.
Just bought a Smok Cube Mini with a full sized TFV4 to pair the minis together and vice versa.
Have a little Kangertech Nano for the pocket vape.
Dont know if any of that is of any help as I but any questions ask away

I think the secret is going to be very small coils and high gauge wire, I will re-try later this week with some 28awg around a 1.5mm post. If only OBS had followed suit with steam crave and gone with a 23mm tank over 22mm, that extra mm could have allowed a wider chimney section
I think I want to see a single coil deck for the Crius, if the space it well enough you could fit a monster of a coil in.
Try the IPV D2, a cracking little mod, and does Ti/Ni, and you can run SS in power mode.
That is unless ofcourse you truly need 200W

Obviously seller claims them to be original - I suspect they're different cells just re-wrapped.

Well, ive finally bit the bullet with my DNA200 and done a TC coil in my Kayfun4, single coil Titanium 1 from Stealthvape, 2.5mm 6 wraps i think it was 0.23ohm.
Downloaded the Lostvape Efusion settings from the forums and set the profile to Titanium.
All is good apart from it doesnt quite taste right, temp to 390f at 17w only.
Downloaded the titanium csv from steam engine and made a new profile and it hits temp limit within 2 secs with the same coil.
In escribe the 2 titanium profiles have different curves and not sure which i should be using at all.
Second to that i put a dual coil in the aromamizer, again Ti 2.5mm coming out to 0.15ohm.....my god this blew my head off and i coughed soooo much lol this is at 12mg nic, which ive only just gone to from 18mg. Not sure if thats because of the profile or curve or some other factor.
Temp control is taking my head a little bit of time to get used to, 5 years with Kanthal lol.
Have some Ni200 and NiFe30 which ive made profiles for, but i dont see anyone using NiFe30 at all anywhere.

The Kayfun4 is renowned for being bad with TC... bad contacts so the ohm readings are off or variable which will throw off TC...
I had trouble with the TI curve created by the Wire Wizard, then i noticed a link in the top corner of the page to an older Calculator and so i used it to generate a TFR and its been working great ever since, i think the link has now been removed but if you want a copy of my TFR then PM me your email and ill send it to you.
As for the Armomamizer blowing your head off, 12mg in a tank link that is a bit high, id try 6mg... but want power were you putting through it, i run Dual twisted 26awg in mine, around .08ohms and 45-55w... with 70 pre heat.
