UKD - Have you seen the post on UKV about the potential problem with the ribbon catching under the fire button on the Reuleaux- DNA200? I'm thinking off fixing mine tomorrow as it doesn't look hard to fix. I will inspect mine and whether it needs meddling with first.

Hi guys,

Has anyone had any hands on fun with the Tesla Nano 100w TC? Or what are your thoughts on it?

Getting curious with it lol:D
 
The Wismec RX200 arrived this morning, fresh set of Lg browns in the mod.

Running a 2.5mm dia NI200 32 awg coil at 0.10 ohm, 45 watts 460 degrees f on a sub tank mini, really impressed with it for the price & build quality.

Waiting for my zapwrapz skin to arrive now.

Ive been following the original thread on the Evolv forum that followed the facebook posting, to be honest ive not seen any issues with any of my dna200 screens so im not touching it.

None of the Tesla previous mods have been too accurate with the power and the china chips (bar yihi) are not all to good with TC and high power, in fact even the yihi chips suck compared to the DNA200 when it comes to TC, i hate mods that pulse fire.
But its cheap enough of fasttech so you could take a punt, i did with the Penny, near burnt my whole mouth when it pulsed too high a power under TC and blew my fresh coils.

Yup saw the same thread and did mine on Monday night. Opening it up was enough to confirm that the fire button was fouling the ribbon every time it was pressed. I'm not 100% convinced it was enough to cause any real harm short term as the pressure was limited and the ribbon only deflected slightly but then again the fire button sees a lot of action...

Took me about 15 minutes to do and that was late at night after a few beers and it took me a few attempts to get the ribbon tucked away neatly but it's not a difficult job per se. The only thing I would say is that the little zif lock tab popped up on mine and it took me a while to realise that was why my screen wasn't sitting down as it should. Fortunately the ribbon itself hadn't shifted and all was well once I closed the tab and put it back together.

Not advising anyone to do it as I had moments where I thought I was taking a silly risk messing about with a perfectly functioning device but truth be told if I hadn't it would have played on my mind so I'm glad I did.

Think i will wait for something else then lol. I am probably asking far too much but I want a small as you can get 100w mod that takes a 26650 battery so it lasts a day and not half a day vaping the vengeance tank at 60w. Cloupor T6 is out but as you said, china chips are not great and the build quality looks off to me.

The Cloupor T models were all under powered, none of them could hit the wattage they claimed, the 50w came close, but the 100w barely made 80w tops.
As for a 26650 100w mod, not going to get a true 100w from a single 26650, but a good Dual 18650 in series will get you 100w and will last a day at 60w, for that look to the snow wolf, the sigelei 100w or the new Fuchai 200w model or there is the Wismec RX200, can get it off FT for under £30 or if you have the money... a DNA200 133w dual 18650 version or the reuleaux triple 18650 or an SX350j dual 18650 mod that will do 120w.

yer for the money, good bit of kit. Maybe the first mod I've had that hasn't left me with some niggle in the back of my head pondering over whether it was worth it.

Take back what I said about vape-atomizer-mesh, ordered monday, arrived thursday. Got ahold of some SS316 so now I have a pair of TC fused claptons ticking along nicely in the aromamizer :D

edit: Also sick of this diacetyl nonsense that's popping up in the news. Most vapers know this already, it's just fuel for the non-vapers. I do my best to avoid it anyway, I'm just hoping someone calls me out on diacetyl so I can blast some facts and scientific jargon through their earholes.

Been looking at the DNA Evolv forum today and some people have built some nice small sized mods with small li-po batteries. Time to research if I can strip out the Koopor Mini (buy a second one in black) and fit the DNA in it with a small Li po. Doubt it will fit as the buttons are probably in a different position to the Koopor.

I 3d printed (Shapeways) my own enclosure for a Dual 18650 DNA200, comes in at 60x88.5x26mm and would fit a small lipo pack

You can buy my design printed straight from shapeways, it'll just about fit a Rhino 1050mah 30/40C pack if you remove the XT60 connector and swap it for an XT30. I run it as a Dual 18650 which was tight as hell.

Shapeways aren't the cheapest for printing, but the quality, finish and tolerances are absolutely brilliant. My lid was designed for magnets that I never actually used as it works so well just on an interference fit
 
If you are going to go small DNA200, and you dont plan to use 200w, then better going for Dual 18650 than a 1000mAh lipo, you will get slightly better battery life and the ability to change for fresh ones rather than waiting till you can get to a charger... but limited to 133w.

Froz made a great sized 3D box, there is also the Boxer style i have which is what the Reuleaux is based on but with only 2 18650's so its smaller or you can do as i did and cram it all in a Hammod 1550P box which is 80x55x26:)

Thank you for the pics and info guys. Guess I am being too picky with battery life vs mod size. Why oh why do we not have a battery that is the size of an 18650 and lasts 2 days! Dream on I will lol.
Will keep thinking about a dual box and try to see a few in shops.
