Whilst we're discussing the crius, any idea why juice would be very slightly leaking between the tank/AFC ring? The very slight (probably 0.1mm) gap there.

edit: a quick bit of research has suggested that i don't have the juice control wide open, will try that out.

Currently got dual 3mm SS 8wraps coils in there @ .2ohm, it's vaping like a champ :D
 
The juice can weep from between the airflow and juice control, if you look close at the deck, you can see a very thin channel between the inner and outer deck parts, i think juice is getting down there and in behind the flow rings and thus weeping out...
When i fill, i close both the juice and airlow off, and the weeping has pretty much stopped for me.
 
Same but 2mm, only needs 40w too!

Haven't had an issue with either crius Tbh, I had one major leak and that was due to me not closing the fill port before opening the juice control.

Serpent should be here today, so everything else may end up retired if it's as good as the reviews make out, deck looks huge, I can feel a twisted 24g ss316 build happening already :cool:
 
Have you tried a twisted SS coil in TC mode yet, ive done two attempts and each time the mod fails to run in TC mode, fine with single strand coils, but twisted just wont work except in Power mode... though one hell of a vape at 140W :)
 
I haven't tried twisted ss at all yet, I'll be happy enough in power mode if temp mode acts up, one of the major perks of ss :)
 
Right I am ready to dip my toes into sub-ohm vaping. Got my new batteries for my 50w Sigelei box and the Subtank mini I was given.

Only thing I have not got is low nic juice.

I've read you really need to vape 6mg but all I have is 12. What's going to happen is it going to blow my head off?
 
No it wont blow your head off, but it might give you an nic overdose it you vape it too much or you may find it harsh on your throat if you open up the airflow and do a big lung hit lol

I've been doing that, the only thing I didn't do last night was close off the juice flow last nigh tbefore falling asleep :(

It can't have been my usual postie on today for something so small to get red carded, usually he signs it and posts it him self and pops a note on the package saying he did it :p

Mixed up some max VG pinkman today as I read it was pretty much shake and vape, seems alright so far, only cut it 20%, could perhaps do with going to 25% but its no where near as overwhelming as the pre made stuff, quite pleasant :)
 
I've got a subox mini, been getting used to the whole vaping thing, proud to say i haven't touched a cigarette in 13 weeks!

So decided to dig into the world of RBA's hoping for a better vaping experience, boy did i bite off more than i can chew

Used the RBA that came with the subox (v2) and some how i've managed to kill 2 coils in a week and have suffered dry hits on various occasions

What am i doing wrong?

Show us a pic of your built coils fitted and wicked :)

If your coils are blowing they likely have a hot spot, are you dry burning and making sure that you're getting a nice even glow working from the center outwards?

The dry hits will likely be explained by your wicking or too high of a wattage.
 
Griffin tank arrived so time to use some Ti Clapton's :)
.5mm core wrapped with .25mm.
Used a 2.5mm drill to wrap (5 wraps) & i could have got away with 3.0mm but will have to check if it impedes airflow.
Build deck is very impressive , big deck & post holes are 2.0mm , the posts are not drilled through so easier to trap coils without cutting them(has happened to me on Crius).
Wicking very straight forward , similar to Crius but has a small ring which you can tuck wicks into so wicks should stay in place when you reattach it to tank.
Juice control is tighter to move than Crius but this is a + for me as i don't accidentally move it when adjusting airflow or unscrewing tank.
Airflow is good but not as airy as the Crius but this might be just the difference between the 2 builds.
Does it chuck clouds ?
Oh yes indeedy.
Build Ohmed out @ .086 cold.
90w , 500f , 110 watt preheat.
Even with a 4 second hit wattage does not drop below 70w.
I am using the SteamEngine Titanium CSV & seems to be performing excellently.
Flavour wise is as good as any of my other tanks(Aromasier,Crius,TFV4).
Refilling is easy ,just unscrew the top , juice fill slots are big so quick & easy.
Tank size does seem a little small but refilling is so easy so not a deal breaker.
No leaks or seeping so far but will need a few weeks to tell properly.
Is it better than the Crius ?
Not a lot in it really , i would not be able to tell the difference between the 2 in a blind test.
 
Just bought my dad a Kanger Subvod kit, hes tried a clearo before and did not like it much but decided on xmas day that he wanted to give it another try, so i said leave it with me, now he did not want a box mod :( so i got this kit, he like blueberry muffins, so i bought 10ml of blueberry 50/50 and 10ml of vanilla 50/50 and mixed them together.
Now its not my kind of flavour, but i tested the idea in the vape shop on a snapdragon and it was nice, so just tried this subvod, with a 1.2ohm coil and its not bad... hopefully this time it works for my dad and he gets of the stinkies...

not changed my kit much as ive been really happy with my set ups

just running a sub tank mini making my own coils at 1.5 at about 11.5 watts. nothing super duper and managed to drop down to the lowest nic now and just using a 30 w eleaf istick .

and as a back up i purchased a authentic sub tank mini spare base and a authentic rba and a subtank bell cap all for a massive 9 quid from the fast place abroad lol .

to be honest there is no difference between the 2 :)
 
Ugh, tried some 9mg juice I'd mixed for MTL stealthing in the Squape. Left my nuts on the kitechen floor after coughing them up. Think I'll just stick to 3mg from now on
