I'll let you know about the serpent on Tuesday ;)

From what I've gathered from reviews, wide open airflow on it is a bit much - but all the reviews I've seen are using the provided coils which look a measily ~2-2.5mm 4 wrap twisted 26g kanthal. Think I'll be diving straight in with claptons :D

Twisted 26ga measly :o I'm running a 7 wrap 28ga over 3mm at 1.33ohm on a mech at the moment

Thanks for the explanation Tweak about the ohms rising, at least I know that's normal.

pgi947, I'm using the Sigelei 50w v2 from myepack. Unfortunately I don't have another mod to try or a dedicated ohm reader. What's interesting is that on all my builds, the resistances are all double what they should be, suggesting kanthal, but it can't be kanthal as there's no magnetic pull.

Id be tempted to say the mods gone haywire if I'm honest, know anyone with a mod you could borrow to try?

Measly in just the 4 wraps more then anything, its a big ol' deck by the looks of it, get creative with running the leads should leave room for some fantastic builds - I hope :D

Hmm, not really, no. I'm considering buying the VTC mini since it's been getting rave reviews in this thread recently. Does it do TC for SS? I see it's going for £44.99 on the Joyetech site. Is that where people are buying it from or somewhere perhaps even cheaper?

If you're not in a rush you can get it for ~£25 from fasttech:

https://www.fasttech.com/product/3331700-authentic-joyetech-evic-vtc-mini-60w-tc-vw

Delivery lately for them has been a fairly reasonable 7-9 days for me.

Alternatively have a google of "evic vtc mini uk" you should find a UK based retailer with it for £35-40 ;)

And yes, update it to the latest firmware and it has native SS TC support as well as TCR input too!

I want one but I think I'll end up getting a cubis 150w as it isn't that much bigger.

Yes as PG says, much cheaper on FT, i have one on order for a car mod as my DNA40 is not cutting it anymore now im using SS wire and the IPV D2 was a let down.

Thanks guys, I'm not in a rush but am happy to order from FT, been a while since my last order. I fancy it in red. I see this one looks like the firmware for the 75w upgrade has already been flashed?

Not enjoying any DIY juice I've made so far, all taste crap. I've just ordered these from valiant2vape. I have a feeling the Capella custard and the sucralose might
improve things. Want to see how the Capella apple pie compares to the FA one.

Apple Pie V2 - Capella
Super Sweetner - Capella
Brown Sugar - TFA
Sugar Cookie V2 - Capella
Vanilla Custard V2 - Capella
Almond - Dark Delights

And don't forget to pick China post in the options.

Going to pull the trigger on a Wismec RX200; where is the best place? Will need batteries too.

thanks.

If you dont mind waiting a week, Fasttech is the cheapest by a good margin, all uk stockers will charge you Double the price, as for batteries... Torchy on Ebay.

Hi guys, was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to recommend a pen style vape, something for around 20-25£?

I just bought my Dad the Kanger Subvod kit, you get a 1300 mAh battery and a tank with a .5ohm coil, however it will take the 1.2ohm coils too which is how i set it up for my dad as he is a new vaper and so does not need sub ohm, the tanks airflow reduces plenty for a good mouth to lung but fully open will do lung hits great too, plus it is top fill.

cost me £25 from a local B&M but is cheaper on Fasttech £18

https://www.fasttech.com/search?subvod

£24 from UKEcig

So i've been settling into the sub-ohm coils on the subtank mini, but sadly i fear i may be going through juice rather fast.

Does anyone have any reccomendations for similar kind of tanks but with bigger capacity? I'm finding myself less and less confident of leaving the house with anything bar a brimmed tank and at work it's dangerously close to empty by the time i get home. Would be nice if theres ones that have less than 0.5ohm prebuilt coils too.

I was thinking maybe the "normal" sized subtank but i can't see it on kangers site so i'm wondering if it's eol?

I'm not that confident on going to building my own coils yet, although might be thinking about drippers in the not too distant future.

What about the Subtank Plus?

I've been considering one of these myself as I'm having the same issues with juice on my Mini.

Could I get some reccomendations for my next vape setup please.

Since i started some 12 months ago I have been running a Davide Anyvape tank which takes aspire DBC coils, I also use 2 aspire 1600mah VV Batteries so I always have a fully charged battery ready to go.

What i am looking for....

I think need a box mod, the long batteries I currently have are just too long in my pocket, and annoy me so i need something shorter without sacrificing battery life.

It's probably worth me getting a new tank too as their is newer tech around, I know little about sub Ohm vaping and the pro's and con's, apparently you use more juice?

Im not interested in building my own coils.

I know we have a huge pool of knowledge here so thanks for any advice/reccomendations in advance.

I'd go for an Evic VTC Mini. It will do pretty much anything you could want. It's will do temperature control with all sorts of coils and is a nice size and shape. You'll also need an 18650 battery to go with it.
As far as tanks are concerned, it depends on what you want. If you want a good mouth-to-lung tank with pre-built coils then I recommend the Beyond Vape Silo. Fantastic flavour.
If you want to try sub-ohm direct-lung then go for either the Eleaf Melo 2 or the Uwell Crown. Both have good pre-built coils (use Aspire Triton coils in the Melo 2) in several different materials and resistances.

I have all of the tanks I mentioned as well as the VTC Mini.

Thought I would try something a bit different this time and I have to say I'm quite happy with it. 10 wraps each coming to 0.4ohms in my velocity clone.

Cheers bud, think I will go with the Evic VTC Mini and the Beyond Vape Silo for now, Whereabouts did you purchase yours from?

Where's the best place to purchase 18650 batteries from and do users have any preference on brand?
