Finally got around to ordering all my stuff...

I've bought;
PIONEER4YOU IPV4S 120w
Mutation X V4 RDA Clone
Samsung R25 18650
Nitecore i2
Muji Rectangle Cotton Wick

Now I just need to buy some wire, what wire would be good for this combo? I'm aiming for 0.2 build.

24awg Kanthal should do or you can go with 26awg and do twisted coils, or if you want to do TC, then 24awg or 26awg Grade 1 Titanium for similar usage.
 
I'm looking for a good compromise between flavour and amount of vapour.

BTW Where should I buy the wire from and what tools will I require?
-Ceramic Tweezers
-Wire Cutter

anything else? e.g. Jig Tool ?
 
As per my earlier post a few lines up:

For a standard power mode mode you want Kanthal wire, 26awg if you want to build a 0.5ohms coil in the subtank RBA section, you can get the wire from http://www.stealthvape.co.uk/wire/KANTHAL-REELS-SPOOLS

I would also recomend a spool tamer, i just got a bag of 25 off ebay for $18.50 delivered but stealthevape do them for .99p each.

As for wick, i personally prefer Rayon, i get Grahams Celucotton from Ebay, its cheap and wicks Very well and is easy to use.

As for tools, good sharp wire cutters, ceramic tweezers and pointy tweezers and a coiler, i recommend the coil master or Kuro coilers. Lastly an Ohm reader.

Get yourself a Coilmaster V2 kit. got everything you need in a nice package.
they get a lot of good feedback
 
The complete kit on the last page is good cake for 15 quid. I paid 25 quid for the grey haze kit which looks identical to me.

Got the crius v3 last week...fantastic vapour and flavour. Will use my velocity to test my diy juices from now on :)
 
I don't really have a budget tbh, it'll be a 0mg juice anyways, I'm not going for extreme cloud chasing as I would hate to sacrifices the flavour for a tad bigger cloud.

Edit: I'm not vaping to replace ciggs, I just want to tweak around and see what coils I can build etc. Looks fun and lots of tutorials online :)

hmm my iStick 50 is going crazy. Randomly turning itself off, voltage changing itself all the time, annoying. Hopefully still under warranty but not idea how good it will be.......

Any new tech in a similar capacity?
 
Istick 50's have a pretty bad rep for faults like what you've described, if it's managing to 5 click it's self off it will be able to auto fire too, swap it out asap.

For me, there is 3 main mods on the market at the moment, all of them joyetech.

1. VTC mini, 75w, single 18650, tc and TCR

2. Joyetech cuboid, 200w, dual 18650, tc and TCR

3. Wismec rx200, 200w, triple 18650, tc

You should be looking at options 2 or 3 to match or surpass battery life from the istick 50, though option 1 will still give you a days usage at sub 40w.
 
Never ran the iStick over 20W, just gets too hot with a subtank mini.

Also needs to be a similar size or smaller than an iStick.
