Cheers, I usually end up in the .3-.4 region on a dual coil.

I can see this being an expensive day :o half tempted to sell my vs200.

That sounds awesome dude, i'll send you a trust :D In my next mix I'll send you across a batch of what I brew up which to me tastes great so please be sure to reply with your address! :-)

As for your vaping experience, are you letting the liquid steep properly? What build have you got in the Velocity, have you tried another tank/RDA with the same build, and different builds? (We'll get to the bottom of it ;-))

Might be exclusively vaping a menthol heavy juice for a few days and then give it another go?
If it is vapours tongue, apparently coffee, using mouthwash, and menthol juices every now and again can help.
I never get vapours tongue, but drink coffee each day, and use mouthwash twice a day when brushing my teeth which probably helps with that.

For steeping, I normally go through the below process;

- Mix it all up
- Shake like hell
- Let it sit overnight in a kitchen cupboard
- Breath for 24hr (just take the lid/cap off), still in the kitchen cupboard
- Let it then sit for X amount of days (dependent on recipe)

Never had a problem to date, apart from accidentally letting juice breath for 2 weeks. Was still good but muted flavour! :p

Hi Tommy, I've repied to you by email. I've put together a 10ml bottle for you and have posted it but missed the midday deadline, so it'll get to you on Tuesday. Meanwhile, it's steeping over the weekend at the bottom of a red letterbox. :D

Oh, for anyone interested in a really easy recipe, here's one. Just uses..erm.. one or two flavours. :p

Dug out a dripper last night (mx4 clone) and haven't put it down since, going in to town this morning now to buy a genuine mutation x :D

I think constantly trying different coils in rta's has given me a better appreciation for coil building, something I didn't have the last time I tried dripping.

I quite fancy a 22mm mech too, any advise on what to go for? My only options in town appear to be a genuine cov or cloned smpl so I think I'll be looking online...

I recently got an Atmizoo Dingo, on sale atm on their website for about £40, though if you want to use 18650 batteries, you'll need two of the T2 extensions (cheapest way is to include one with the Dingo and add another using coupon code "PARTSOFF" for 20%), so will probably run about £55-60 all in all. They do offer a telescopic version, the Roller, but I'm not a fan of the look, and it's not on sale right now.

I've been very pleased with it, the machining is top notch, the button feels great, and the lock is excellent. It is a bit long due to the switch at the top though.

Edit: it's 22.5mm too, but you barely notice it with a 22mm atty on top

I rebuilt an android Kodi box for the owner of my local vape shop and as a thank you he gave me 4 bottles of Wick Liquor, 1 Deja Voodoo, 2 Carnival and 1 boulevard :)

Currently using the Deja Voodoo in my OBS Crius on a DNA200 Dual 18650 3D printed mode (similar to a boxer), 0.26ohms dual coil 25awg 317L SS at 55w with 70w pre heat and its tasty stuff.

Needing some help, got a IPV D2 with smoke TFV4. It works fine in Joules on temperature control mode but when on power mode all I get is low res warning. I've switched out the coils and nothing seems so work. Any ideas?

What ohms are you building to and when you change coils have you held in the up and down buttons to register the new resistance?

I find my IPV D2 registers the ohms about 0.02 lower than it should.
The Minimum resistance it will fire is 0.2ohms, so if yours is under reading too, then a 0.2ohm coil will read as 0.18 and thus say too low...

Had that with the d2 and a 0.2 subtank mini coil when I was on holiday, put it in temp mode and set joules to roughly the wattage you want and it'll fire fine.

I'm using the one that it came with the triple coil head, quad coil head and RBA head are all reading the same 0.13 ohms. Works fine on temperature mode reading the same.

Anyone got any links to a decent resistance/wattage chart?

Looking for a rough guide for starting points when doing coils but all the ones on google seem to do 3 ohms to 6 ohms or something stupid followed by the ones that do do 2-0.5 ohms suggesting that putting 20w through this 1.1 ohm coil should result in some kind of nuclear meltdown (which it isnt, its nice vaping to my tastes)

Steam engine is the only calculator I use.

Wattage depends on how well your tank/dripper wicks and whether you like a cool/hot vape and how fast it ramps up

It's just in the subtank's rba deck, wicking wise seems to be decent (as good if not better than any of the stock coils), seems wicking is the one bit i've got the hang of.

Atm i've tried 2 combos, first was 3 strand twisted then two pairs of that re-twisted, second is 2 strant twist with that re twisted.

i bought .25mm thinking i can always twist out to bigger but sadly i seem to be getting a lot of popping and spitting and i'm not sure that these simple twisted coils are as good as heavier wire.

Been looking into some vids on claptons and other forms of more advanced wiring, might need to get some heavier wire and retrive my drill from me mates and give it a go.

I initially bought some 0.25mm wire too. It's almost useless. I have used it in claptons wrapped around 0.5mm and I just could never get it to work for me. That said, it might work better in some of my higher wattage devices now, like the 200w Snowwolf.

0.32mm seems a decent wire if you want to occasionally go higher ohms, or like twisted builds (I usually twist the 0.32mm). I got the 0.5mm free with an order of lots of smaller wires, and initially never used it because it was too low ohms for my devices (I was rocking MVP's, Vamo's and SID's at the time). Now it's my goto wire for simple builds.

Yo guys, quick question:

I was using an iStick 20w and a Nautilus Mini, that died so I bought a Kangertech Subox Mini kit yesterday. I'm using the 0.5ohm coil that came with it and was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction for building my own coils? I could just do with some links on the best wire/cotton to buy and any tools that make it easier would be great. I'm aware the wire depends on the level of ohms I'll be vaping at but atm I have no experience with it so I don't have a clue. Also, how long does the coil/cotton last compared to a standard pre-built coil?

Cheers.

Whats the largest sized liquid pots have you bought? I only tend to vape a menthol flavour and i tend to buy multiple 30ml pots when i do. Are their places that sell greater amounts? or should i just start mixing my own?

I usually buy 30ml as my main stuff is DIY but I buy the occasional 120ml

I'm wanting to go lower ohms ideally, but its tricky as the subtanks rba is rather limited as to how many turns you can get on a thicker wire.

Atm i'm consdering trying just a 6 strand straight twist (without retwisting) as these seem to be neater than double twisting and might stop the popping issue.

This has started to awake the tinker in me lol.

FlapR, for a standard power mode mode you want Kanthal wire, 26awg if you want to build a 0.5ohms coil in the subtank RBA section, you can get the wire from http://www.stealthvape.co.uk/wire/KANTHAL-REELS-SPOOLS

I would also recomend a spol tamer, i just got a bag of 25 off ebay for $18.50 delivered but stealthevape do them for .99p each.

As for wick, i personally prefer Rayon, i get Grahams Celucotton from Ebay, its cheap and wicks Very well and is easy to use.

As for tools, good sharp wire cutters, ceramic tweezers and pointy tweezers and a coiler, i recommend the coil master or Kuro coilers. Lastly an Ohm reader.
