With VO I aim for 20% concentrate, so of 50ml, 40ml would be your nic pg/vg base and 10ml concentrate.

I use a 100% vg base so I typically end up around the 80/20 mark

Oh okay, so for 10ml I would have to use 2ml concentrate. I'll be using 10ml bottle at first, I'll be mixing frozen forest for my mum and myself. Now because I only vape on 0mg, the only time I vape liquids with nic is when I try new liquids off someone.

Now my mum finds the 18mg throat hit to be too harsh and the 6mg was not strong enough. So I'm assuming the 12mg would be ideal, with Kanger Subvod running 1.2ohm coil?

Edit:

Is this right?

Nicotine PG or VG (e.g. http://www.justvape247.com/100ml-72mg-72-nicotine-select-base-14750-p.asp )?

What base is your nic? 72mg? You will never be able to get an exact measure on such small quantities however assuming your nic is VG and 72mg

2ml Nic
2ml Concentrate
6ml VG

This will give you a 14.4mg 80%VG/20%PG mix.

EDIT; feel free to try and do:

1.5ml Nic
2ml Concentrate
6.5ml VG

This would give 10.8mg 80VG/20PG

With higher VG liquid can you still do mouth to lung method? I was thinking of doing 70%VG/30%PG mixture.

I haven't bought nicotine yet, VG I'll buy from boots and some 10ml bottles along with syringes. Where do you guys buy your nicotine from?

1.5ml Nic
1.5ml Concentrate
5.5ml VG
1.5ml PG
= 10ml

So this would be a 70%VG/30%PG with 10.8mg nic using 72mg base nic, right?

Correct. 72mg VG base nic.

Assuming your concentrate is PG base :p

Is the nicotine you get VG based than? Also does more PG mean bigger throat hit?

I get VG base.

In basic terms

VG = Smoother vape, more clouds, doesn't hold flavour as well, gunks up coils quicker.
PG = Throat hit, thinner liquid, holds flavour well.

Thinner liquid used to be important and so PG was useful. Since everything on the market outside the very elite hand made stuff couldn't deal with high VG (people used to need to add water for higher VG) These days most bog standard gear can handle high VG.

I remember using those little Dual Coil Carto's on the end of an EGO battery :p

I remember when that was a step up! Before that I was basically dripping on a 510 attie (they always seemed to be called this) They had tips that had a sponge that held like 5 drops) That was even before 510 was the standard, there was other types back then, 301? was it.

Edit google tells me the other type was 901.

Yeah! I remember buying the Ego Variable Voltage due to stepping upto the Dual Coil Carto!

Not sure dude, I got in a litte later than you it seems!

Edit: I do remember your forum name from the times Devrij used to provide all us new starters lot's of guidance!

FWIW I always get PG based Nic from Darkstar, it's a lot easier to work with, especially if you're keeping it in the fridge.

I can attest, I mistakenly ordered VG nic from DarkStar which arrived today.

Just mixed up a couple of 10ml samples for them each to try as they are trying to kick the fags and its a nightmare.

I takes forever to draw up into the syringe and is too thick to easily work with. It really isn't going to affect VG much much at all

Edit;

Slinxy did you get the M-Atty you we're after?

After reading online this is exactly why I went with PG nicotine plus 3MG it will barely make a difference in the ratio's.

Can i ask how long it took for your order to arrive from DarkStar? Placed my order Sunday evening.

What's a good vaping kit for beginners? Just need something to help me quit the smoking. Not after big clouds or anything, just something simple and sufficient to help me stop all together.

Ha those were the days. Now I'm learning from all you guys! My Sigelei had a particularly nasty fall onto my tiled bathroom floor (twice while hoovering, you'd think I would've learned) and the display is now knackered. So I picked up a cheap Koopor 200w plus which I'll have tomorrow. I was going to get one of those 3 batt monsters I'd seen on here but my colleague has one and it's bloody heavy!

When i started i was reccommended a nautilis, not much of a big cloud chucker but it was good enough with a little willpower forcing myself to use it at work to get me off the cigs. I'd still use it for stealth vaping

Tbh i'd be tempted to also suggest a subtank mini, works rather well on the 1.8ohm coils and has functionality to do sub ohm and building your own coils if you do decide later that you want to.

In terms of batteries i originally went for an istick 50w, although 6 months down the line its started to die. I'm sure the lads here can reccommend something better that doesnt need an external charger.

Protip; dont do what i did and forget to buy new heads with it, they last a good while but they'll be dead quicker than you think.

In terms of juice it's down to preference, tbh my advice is pick a few you like the sound of at 18% and try them out (bearing in mind you might find a few duds)

Thanks for the quick responses! :D

So some of you people on here started vaping when the first vapes came out? I bet they were a pain in the.... to work with. :p

FWIW I always get PG based Nic from Darkstar, it's a lot easier to work with, especially if you're keeping it in the fridge.

I sent a message to see if its not too late to cancel, I think its already sent so will probably just have to use it. I'll remember next time to order PG based nic. :p

I should have concentrate tomorrow, so will give it a shot and see how good it is. I'll probably be able to make 85% VG/15% PG liquid
