Ah the RX200, i have rhe DNA200 version, its a heavy mod, but battery for days..

The ni200 coils will not take much to hit 200c, maybe 30w at best, the SS on the other hand, they can be used in power mode as well as tc and in power mode they may take a good chunk, depends how good they are, the crown .5 ss coils took 90w in power mode, about 40 or 50w in TC if i recall.

but 75w for TC should be plenty.

Cheers for all the responses dude, much appreciated.

Can someone either help persuade my inner self that I can justify a mini volt, or convince me otherwise that I shouldn't?

Completely on the fence with it at the moment, and really want one, but can't bring myself to do it in the hope that a v2 may make it's way to us in the near future with TC capability.

Hmmmmm :(

(Quite proud of myself, this is the first time I've ever questioned shinyitis :p)

Don't do it mate... They are rubbish.. Lol
Don't even know why I got one, felt like I was missing out about even after half a day I knew it was bad. It's now one of the last mods I would pickup.

The hana one is going for £40 pounds on ukecig from time to time.. Not much bigger in single 18650 mod, but it's a DNA 40 with a dual battery mode too..

They do a Ni200 0.15ohm temp control coil, or I could just lump for the standard 0.25 SS coil which I imagine would do the job.

Yeah, the one battery thing was a concern... now I'm looking at a Wimsec 200w jobbie for around the same price as it carries 3 batteries!

I got the dna200 version cheap with batteries.. Wished I saved some and brought the Rx200 version instead.. The software features don't impress me much.

I'm going to get a dual sxj at some point then move it off..

The VF stout is an good option 26650 but not much bigger and 100 watts.. But there's been reports of bad QCing.

The Mini Volt was definitely hyped, its okay as a pub mod but I wouldn't want it as a main mod. But now the oooh shiney stage has worn off its annoying (and currently in loan to my sister with a Nautilus Mini as an attempt to quit smoking)

Edit: I hear there's a couple of M-Attys for sale, I know you wanted one :p

As good and easy to use as the SX350j is, its not a patch on the DNA200, it can regulate below a batteries nominal voltage were as i dont believe the SX can, plus you can feel the SX pulse were as the DNA is smooth, as for the software, i admit they left critical settings off the mod and only available in the software, but its worth the 5 minutes to setup a profile and be done.

AS for the RX, VTC Mini and VF Stout... the board is far from great, the default ni, ti and ss profiles are not standard wires, they are set for the Joyetech CL-r coils so dont work with normal wires, hence why V3 FM add custom TCR, but ive found that even with their recommended TCR for TI, its way off, 317L seams ok and ive not tried NI, but there are plenty of threads for users having issues with wrong ohms readings and having to set the tc limit way higher than it should need.

The cheapest i saw the mini volt was dnavapes for £20, but they were out of stock last i looked, but even at that price, you can get a VTC Mini 75w with TC and swappable battery and you can fit a 3000mAh 30q in for much longer battery life, from FT for £23

That's where the issue is... your referring to temp control... I don't use temp control apart from releasing my finger when it's hot.

All them features are pointless on the dna200, if you don't use temp control.

Question aimed at those who have bought from GearBest before, How long have you roughly been waiting for your order? I'm not expecting to get it next day but I placed my order on the 22nd of Jan and my item hasn't even been shipped yet

My Fasttech order was even shipped out on the Saturday I believe and is already in transit in comparison.

Good point, i hardly use power mode so my view is purely from a TC point of view and only my opinion too...
But that said, it does not change the fact that the SX chip regulation dies as the battery does, the DNA does not and if your only using the dna200 in power mode, it still performs better as its proper DC-DC power, not pulse.

What is your build, wire, inner diameter, horizontal or vertical?

I do either dual twisted 26awg TI coils or dual single wire 317l SS coils and both take 70w pre heat and about 50w nominal and chuck fine and rightly, i dont have the vape band airflow controller on, i have them wide open.

horizontal, kanthal single core, coil has 25 inner? not sure what that is i used a wire wrap tool so the coil is tight. Have re wicked and its smoking better but think i missing something, have got some twisted kanthal and some fat clapton i could use, i just went for a nice and easy build to give it a quick blast.

As tweak mentioned above, leave the cap of for 12/24 hours to get some of the harshness from the tangerine out (unless you like the little throat kick you get from it, I kinda like it ;)). After that you're good to go!

Some people are adament that a weeks steep of fruity flavours helps, but I've not noticed a difference from the day after mixing vs 7 days after.

Yeah, I'm happy with the slight throat hit the tangerine causes, means I will go through less juice too.

Shake and vape juice, what's not to love! Cheers again to yourself and other members who recommended it.

Had one of these fine specimens delivered 2 weeks ago, it's being used as we speak! :p
I saw DNA vapes were selling them at that price last week, was very hard to not cave!

Welcome! If you need any other recommendations let us know.

I've got a mean custard recipe, apple pie & custard recipe, alongside what I think will be a couple of epic donut based flavours :)

Quite new to this DIY business so would appreciate it to be honest, Think i'm going to try the Cuttwoods - Unicorn Milk clone (internal leak apparently) next time I order some concentrates as I already have a couple of the flavours required.

Feels like I spend more money on shipping than actual gear though need to plan a little better

Try flavour boss for that one dude, enough concentrates for a litre of the stuff for about £26 or so.

Yup, That is where I have come across the recipe will do some maths and see since I already have 2 of the concentrates whether it is worth buying separate since then I could perhaps make up another recipe which contains some of those additional concentrates.

THIS is one of the nicest flavours I've ever made. The meringue side is spot on imo.

For all you bakery fans, I recommend giving this a go!

Gimme a shout also if you want some recommendations man, been DIY'ing for a while now so I'd like to say I have a pretty good idea of what goes well together etc.

I cancelled my Cuboid order w/ GB. Ordered it on the 19th (dispatched within 5-7 days) but after I emailed them yesterday, they're saying it's on back order. Put an order in on FT for another (cheaper).

Treated myself to a new charger as well - Opus BT-C3100 v2.2 :D
