That fella Torchy on UKVapers disagrees, based on all the tests he's posted.
Several sellers offering "Orange Samsung, LG HE4, Orange LG, Shockli, Orange Sony", all of which are supposedly tested and certified safe 30A cells, ranging from 2100-2400-2500-2600 and finally one at 3000mAh... Samsung 30Q, I think it is, which Torchy has subsequently tested up to 40A.

I went looking because some company was claiming 4000mAh, but that was quickly quashed!

I'm not sure where you're reading this, but I'm pretty certain Sony do not produce an orange battery nor do Samsung iirc.

The Samsung 30Q is pink if you get it direct, but several retailers rebrand them - Torchy's rebrands are orange, apparently.

Beyond that, you'd probably be better checking his website as you'd likely understand more of it than me.

If in doubt, mooch recently released his updated 'recommended battery' chart.

Personally, I stick with HE4's. cheap, easy to get a hold of, good life and will handle 25A :)

Torchy does rewrap and rerate his cell.

I'm not sure I would trust them at 30A as they're officially a 15A cell, They're also going to give nowhere near 3000mah at that kind of current draw

Cuboid arrived today, not bad for the 28 or whatever it is I got it for from Fasttech (with their 20% off promo a while back).

A good home mod with plenty of battery life.

*shrug*
Different specs rate it as 15 or 20A, although he's apparently tested them to 40A...
All I really know is several different B&Ms and a load of folk over at UKV seem to rave about his stuff over most others...

Home mod?
You not big enough pockets? :p

This has very quickly become my daily carry vape!

The whole 2.5 divide thing is for un-regulated mods, most regulated mods have an Amp limit that they will not draw over, the DNA200 for example wont draw any more than 23a from your batteries, the board itself boosts the amps over that amount if required and has an onboard 25a fuse that will blow if somewhow your build/mod tries to pull more than that out of the batteries.

How the hell are they claiming 200w, then?
At 23A that's, what, 115w max?
According to the display mine does 133w on a 0.4Ω coil...

If you look at the spec of any Regulated mod, it should list an Amp limit, this is because the board Regulates the power and has built in protections, something an Un-regulated box generally does not have and hence why they say to do the 2.5 divide. With a regulated mod you just have to look at the boards specs to see what the max amp draw is an ensure your batteries can handle it.

Maximum input current 23a (You have to remember its series so input voltage is between 6.4-8.4v) and maximum current is 50a with maximum output voltage of 9

So it will do 200w between 0.08ohm and 0.41ohms

If you look at the spec of any Regulated mod, it should list an Amp limit,
"Am Joyetech website, so good look for your mod in black or silver with 200w firmware automatic download update in the first instance"....
In other words, it's a Joyetech product. I seriously doubt I'd find that data unless you told me where on their site it is!! :D

So it will do 200w between 0.08ohm and 0.41ohms
Well, IIRC, current tank coil is just into the 0.42Ω... However with the 0.22Ω RDA I'm using today, it tells me max is 137.5w at 5.5v...

Indeed.
There's nothing special about Torchy and his batteries.
So why the heck is every Vaper-man-Jack, especially those who generally know exactly what they're talking about, singing his products' praises?

Every time I start to get a handle on this stuff, it goes weird on me again... starting to wonder if I should just take up smoking again!!

On a Wismec Reuleaux? Is it the DNA200 or the RX200 version?
What, me?
No, I have a Cuboid. Reuleaux is too short for my hands.

That makes the 200w discussion totally different then (No idea on the specs of the cuboid)

I recommend Torchy (As well as Ecoluxshop) because they are respected sellers that are known to sell genuine products.

For testing/ratings I always trust Mooch

Somebody asked Joyetech what the amp limit for the Cuboid is, on their social forum, the answer was 25a :)

The thing to remember with Any regulated mod, the wattage setting shown on the display is not always what you will be getting, with battery sag, amp limit, Voltage limit and some just plain lie.
As always, the information should be in the mods specs... look for amp, voltage, ohm limits and you can generally work out whats possible or not.

Its probably me being to picky wanting to try and get big clouds, big flavour in a package that lasts for a whole day without refilling

Not going to happen... To produce big clouds require fuel; juice.. Good flavour atties that can produce big clouds drink juice like there's no tomorrow.. I can kill a whole mini tank in the toot in 30 mins, I need to fill the 4ml Origen at least once in the work day but more commonly 2 or 3 times.

Even with drippers like the velocity your be dripping more juice than a normal cloud chaser dripper or flavour chasing dripper.

The closest thing I come to it is the nextgen, built around 0.9ohm with the dual air flow ring.. Gives me enough vapor and the flavour but it's not clouds at all.

The kanger subtank can be rated as a good midrange tank, but in today's market.. But flavour and amount of clouds is questionable, but built right it's honestly not bad, not great neither thou...

Getting slightly worried carrying my vaporizor around with me in my pocket considering all of the news stories with batteries going kaboom.

I'm guessing avoid the cheap nasty ones.
