I've heard the Uwell Crown is a very good tank and have just seen that the MKII is about to be released. What mod is best to poer something like a Uwell Crown?

I've only ever known Kanger Subox and Topbox starter kits but quite fancy trying something new, as an upgrade. Any suggestions?
 
Sunday morning Serpent build, 6 wraps of the FT 'Alien' flat clapton wire over a 3mm bit, came out at 0.48ohms, vaping fantastically at 45w :)

Lost my favourite setup on Friday night, you can probably guess the cause.

Pico w/ torchy 30Q
Serpent Mini w/ 1.2ohm clapton
Uroboros mod tiger pattern drip tip

Absolutely gutted.

Never mind, have bought 2 more of the same setups, atleast I'll have a backup next time! :p
 
at least you lost it on a night out, I've managed to loose a d2, subox, crius v1 and an entire 30FT spool of 22awg 316L in my flat :confused:

I'm sure my Mrs keeps binning stuff on the sly :p

Red carded for my FT order today, can't wait to try the juggernaut wire, looks to be a pair of Clapton's wrapped with flat wire :D

I have made some & they seem to need a lot of wattage to get really going , if they are like the 1's i made you get a small explosion when you vape them if they have been standing for a while.I suppose it is because they hold that much juice between the clapton wraps & the ribbon wire.Luckily i always exhale slightly before inhaling so no burnt tongue :)

I can imagine, the stuff i've ordered is 28/32x2*0.14, have a Tsunami 24 on the same order, will be aiming for 4 wraps over 3.5 or 4mm depending on what room I have available, expecting a 120w+ build :p

Is the Alien the MKWS stuff or demon killer? I got the DK stuff, its not alien by a long shot (neither is the MKWS by the look of it) but its still very very good wire, I've used up around 12ft of 15 on the spool in around 6 weeks, use it on just about everything. Dual 5 wrap coils over a 2.5mm bit, 0.2ohm every time :D
 
For my FT order today, juggernaut build in the tsunami 24 incoming :D

That also completes my geekvape line up, Griffin 25, avocado 24 and now tsunami 24.

Liking the look of the new ipv 6x too, £35 on FT, central 510 so it won't overhang 99% of big tanks and rdas, latest sx330, a must buy for me.

More interested in the IPV Yaris, which is basically the D3 (same chip) but bigger and uses a 26650 battery.
 
Ohh I didn't realise the yaris was a 26650 mod, I just took a glance and figured it was just the D3 rehashed!

Put a single coil in the Tsunami 24, 5 wraps of juggernaut over 3mm, a sample build if you will, just testing the waters with it...

The wire holds that much juice, that dry and unwicked it reads 0.19, fully juiced its 0.52 :o

Anyhow, single coil at 100w? Nuts, clouds and flavor out class just about everything I've tried before. Highly recommend the wire if you have an RDA that can handle it.
 
I wrapped the ribbon wire over the top of a fused clapton so similar build , they do love the watts :) . Have 2 x 4mm ish I/D (6 1/5 wraps) comes out at .2 Ohms in my VCMT 30mm , flavour & clouds for miles but tank does get hot quickly @ high watts.
 
I'm down at Birmingham NEC on business this week. Staying in the Premier Inn, which funnily has a little sign in my room stating no smoking or vaping, stating their smoke detectors are that sensitive it will set the alarm off.

...I'm currently sat in my room surrounded by what appears to be the aftermath of Mount Vesuvius. I have the window as far open as it will go and the aircon turned on to circulate some air.

I'm now starting to fear the warning and the alarm is due to blow it's stack! What do we think OCUK - can vaping set off smoke detectors? :eek:

It can yes. Had a fire alarm at the office a few months ago, evacuated and then had an email saying there was no fire but the toilet smelt distinctly like vanilla custard ;).

It doesn't seem to set off all alarms though, must depend how sensitive they are.

May be worth me digging out the 30mm VCMT for this wire, I don't think I'll be able to fit anything meaningful in the supreme or G25 with this wire :D

Really enjoying the Tsunami 24 too, its taken all the best bits from the Kennedy and MXV4 with a little something extra and its just lovely, now to get a squonk mod for it :D

I think it would depend what kind of detector it is, stick a connie over it to be safe ;)

Yup.

I'm banned from SubOhming in a friend's house, because he has an older type (detects ions, or some such) which will go off.
My own at home was also triggered, but only after I put a good few lungfulls directly into it. Generally it's just fine and the window is only open to vent the fog.


I just got a Twisted Messes RDA and stuck a little .24 build on it.... BLIMEY!!!!!
Damn near vaped the top of my head off!!
 
Odd, my Cleito works great on my RX200, and crap on my VTC Mini, and vice versa for my Crown. How is that even possible? This is all sub-60w.
 
Similar thing here... must be something to do with the way the power is delivered.

I don't like the Cleito on my vTC mini either... but on RX200 or DNA200 its great.

Sigelei Moonshot is best, by far, on the DNA200
