Hi mate, my PG/VG and Nic arrive, I looked at the ingredients on the Nic and it looks like it contains Diketones which is odd because I thought that stuff was only in flavourings, have you noticed that?

Ordered goodness knows how much Nic from DS in the past and I've never noticed that on the bottle. Can you post a picture please mate?

Yeah sure, its in my car and I'm in the office so I'll do it in about an hour when I nip out for a vape

One of the nic bottles leaked in transit so they are a bit messy

No worries mate. I'd drop them an email to let them know it leaked and they'll sort you out, probably get a fresh set of shots!

Interesting as I have bought a box of nic shots but never realised that it had diketones :/.

If they do then that’s me sending the box I just ordered the this morning.

Will be interesting to see what they say, I’m going to check my box of nic shots when it arrives this weekend. Then send them an email enquiring why it had diketones.
 
Really digging this Hugo squeeze, not only are the bottles super soft (neoprene?) it comes with a 510 refil bottle and hits harder then any mech I've used before, even on an 18650.

Will have to get some more of these from China, I'd about given up on mechs before this.

Only thing is anything Diketone has < in front of the number.

For all my googling skills I cannot find out what this means in chemistry or ingredients

It will just mean there is less then the stated weight in the bottle, so if it says >50mg there is less then 50mg of said substance in the bottle, or per what ever quantity they state.

Given its being described with a > I would say thats a good sign if it was an effective volume of anything that prefix wouldn't be used.

If thats the case fine but why would Diketones need to be in a 100% PG Nicotine shot? Still doesn't make sense.
 
That'll be parts per million, so that's less than 0.014 parts per million, per puff which equates to 14ng/ml (nanograms per mililitre) for Diacetyl.

I presume it's due to how they extract the nicotine from the raw tobacco itself.

Thanks Gee, will you continue to buy that particular brand of nicotine knowing this or consider swapping to another? If it is because of the way its extracted all nicotine for eliquid must have it I imagine

Darkstar source good quality nicotine which I believe may be Alchem. Had no issues with it in the past and I don't need to buy anymore any time soon I as bought 2 litres before TPD came into effect.

Enjoying it so far, tiny yet powerful, battery life is quite good, think it lasts longer than my 75c board.

Pulse BF is still in rotation, but it was in second place to the Hugo Squeezer, remains to be seen if the RSQ gets taken out and about as much as the Hugo/Pulse as don't want to drop/chip paint work at work.

I broke the 5ml glass on my Blitzen and couldn't just order replacement 4ml glass from FT(as the bulge glass is horrible looking and the likely reason it cracked) so bought a Nudge 22 as well on Tuesday.

It is great, mines been bashed and dropped a fair few times and not so much of a scratch, but it's got the grubby ingrained oily look about it, can't fault it especially for the price, was dubious at first on how long it would last considering the abuse it's had.:)

New bottle design, said he took note of the complaints that refilling/fitting the bottle is a pita with juice going everywhere.

To counter the juice spill for anyone interested, don't fill bottle right up and squeeze the air out the bottle, keep it squeezed, screw on the cap, push the tube into place, no spilling.

Made Nonna's Red Cake last night, so tasty

Anyone DIY and gradually reduce nicotine to 0 successfully? I think thats what I'm going to do now I'm DIY'ing (Thanks to Gee) I'm on 6mg at the moment, might drop it by 1% overtime but I'm a bit concerned it will make me edgy!
